Congrats! Definitely loose the chrome moldings, and nerf bars.

If you have a good wax on it dirt doen't stick as bad. Besides, it washes off. You may have to spend some extra time detailing it when the trip is over. No biggie. Drive it, and have fun. It needs to get out.

Have you checked this stuff out? Zaino Their polishes are simply amazing. It may take some work at first, but maintaining after that is a breeze with simply amazing results.

The only time I would consider a color change is if I was doing a full frame off resto on something. That way you have every nut, bolt, clip, piece of trim removed, and sand/media blasted. It's kind of a clean slate at that point.

It's frustrating to me when you order a part for someone, call them when it comes in, usually end up leaving a message letting them know it's here, hours we're open, ect., ect. Only to have them call back 5 minutes later saying, "I just got a call from this number." If people would listen to their freakin' messages it would save everyone a bunch of time. Ok. I feel better now.
