  1. I've seen those kits before, and I wouldn't trust it. You may want to to it to someone, or if you know someone with a set of gauges to look at it.
  2. I don't use a machine, but I have a set of manifold gauges to do it. I read the pressure before just adding, because you can overcharge the system which will damage the compressor. You can't really get the high/low ports mixed up, as they are different sizes. Th=e kit that you bought should just have a fitting that will only fit on the low side. Also, check your condensor air flow, and/or fan clutch operation. That cancause it to get warm at idle or low speeds.
  3. Nice find for $500. Especially if you know how to work on them.
  4. Wouldn't be a bad looking truck with a few changes. Take the moldings, and emblems off, lower it a couple of inches, and put the stock tail lights back on it. Stripes are questionable.

    Gas

Run the premium. I ran some 87 and 89 through mine a while back, and fuel economy dropped. Plus it didn't run as good. So, I considered it a wash. I'd rather get the most of my fuel.
  6. I just filled up the other day. 25.253 gallons cost $100. That'll last me 7-10 days. I hope. The saving grace we have for the summer is that my wife will be off, and not having a daycare bill will free up $660 a month. I need some mod money for some exhaust and air intake to improve fuel economy.
  7. That's what I'm eventually going to buy. I like to be hands on with my rides.
  8. It will not fit without major modifications. Besides, you can get one for that body style for like $150. The BSER pan is $350.
  9. I'd love to see the Stars go to another cup final, and win it. But, I don't see it happening. The Red Wings are an outstanding team this year. I don't think anybody can beat them right now.
  10. I'm in the same boat. Can't get enough on a trade in, and can't find a buyer because gas is so high. I may end up just fighting through it till we can get it paid off. Then I'll definitely keep it.
  11. Just outside of Port Arthur, TX. last June.
  12. Glad to see there are still a few old codgers left on here. 41- Front parts counter at a Chevy dealer.
  13. Good job, Brad. I know you will do well.
  14. I love that part of Texas. The hill country is great.
  15. Congradulations to her!! That sounds like a pretty cool contest. Like has been said many times, thanks to you both for what you do. We all owe you a debt of gratitude.
  16. Yeah. I just ca't afford to pay for it, and feed it. Besides, at this point I think it best to get out of debt.
  17. I hate them, too, and I have to work with them. Btw, I'm selling my blue 03. Asking $18500.00
  18. You don't have to worry about parking. Just put it in your pocket.
  19. That's what I hear is happening. It's hard to siphon out of the late models with all the baffles in the tank, so they're punching holes.
  20. I'm pretty damn close. About $375 a month.
  21. I have an AWD that I'll sell.
