  1. i thought you and i talked about this a while back, you being in VB. you should come out on saturday, even if just to shoot the crap, get to know a few folks and have a good time. dont feel obligated to come to the slipper. I completely understand.

anyway, hope to see you there. i'd love to check out your SS.

Finally got a chance to get on and catch up to whats going on. As Chris said- Saturday would be the best day to hang. I'll be there all day workin- so will chris. I don't mind who shows up- just as long as I know in advance so I can plan for parking. The tenants JUST moved in... so I don't wanna have like 2000 cars in the front lawn.

(I rent out the house and use the garage for my business)

The ONLY thing that could put a kink in all of these plans is snow on friday night. If it snows enough- I'll be out plowing. This is the ONE time I'm actually praying for it NOT to snow. I swear weather ALWAYS ruins my plans when it comes to GTG.

  2. um how to work what??? or do we not want to know??

I am still having to find a hotel. I aint picky, i will stay between the hooters but chad wont let me!! :)

so if anyone knows of someplace close to Dekalb i need a joint, dont call me cheep but 100 bucks a night is outta my league, especially just for a place to lay my head. UNLESS the silver slipper rents rooms??

I was talking about figuring out how the new chat stuff works.

You can stay between hooters... just not mine! Seriously, I have a guest room- you can crash here if you want. It's not a big deal to me.

  3. another option is the pf61 which is taller than factory and the one i use on a regular basis.

as a matter o fact just picked two up today @5 bucks o piece at the local dealer.

Just a suggestion- if your changing your own oil- don't think for one sec that because the filter is upright, and the drain plug is below, that your not going to spill oil all over the place. :nono: It still comes out all over :) No one ever warned me! I spun the filter off like nothing bad could happen. :yellow_loser:

    Good luck.

  4. I may be being too picky but I have the Eclipse AVN2454 HU and I absolutly HATE the navigation it has. I just dont like how if Im heading south it shows the arrow on the screen going down. I used to have a Garmin Nuvi navigation unit and when you were driving in constantly showed you a view of you going forward and once you turned, it adjusted to show you going forward. Does anyone know of any unit that has a navigation system in it similar to this? Thanks

I have a garmin now, and I know what your talking about. I love it. I don't have any experience with other navigation units. From what your talking about with the eclipse, I would hate that too.

I know that in march, kenwood is coming out with a new double din screen that's relatively cheap with garmin based nav built in. I'm definitely going to grab this when it's available. The model numbers are Kenwood DDX5120. Hope that helps.

  5. It works- my friend did it with his zune. Its pretty simple if you think about it, the mp3 player itself is just playing through headphones as far as it thinks. You can do it for cars with factory radios that have satellite radio I think, you just have to find the right wires...

Fast4Popper can get you guys the aux input you need for really cheap. I have my ipod hooked up. I also have a screen and remote mount dvd hooked up with sound through the factory radio. It's a simple install! Anyone can do it. Send him a PM

  6. I was wondering if there were any Silverado SS window decals out there. I thought one across the top of my windsheild would look cool, and support the site(I know, I'll be donating the 24.99 soon), just a thought. :)

There is a sign shop I use out by me for my business lettering and signs. I can see how much one would cost if you want. Do you want Silverado SS or Silveradoss.com? Let me know.

  7. For the rest of your life :jester:

EXACTLY :) She's worth it though. It wouldn't be so bad, it's just that between the wedding and building our own house it's insane. I'm building the house myself though- labor free. That always helps TONS. Still not enough though! It's still expensive.

  8. I play sometimes, not great, not terrible. I always tell myself I am going to get serious and practice and get good, but it doesn't help that the golf course I go to delivers ice cold beer to your cart on the course...all you have to do is call them at the clubhouse and tell them where you are and what you want. LOL, yeah that doesn't help much.

    Hmm, I don't drink... but maybe that's what I need :D

  9. Congrats! No planning for our wedding. We went to Vegas with a few friends and family and did the deed at New York New York. We had the best time and it did not cost us a fortune. Plus after the wedding we partied like crazy!!!!

I've been there a couple times... Part of me would love to do it that way- and another part wants a "real" wedding. It's like Bob said- it's HER day. I'm doing my best to sit back and shut up... the only other thing I'm doing is paying for it :(

  10. well we named her Molly because they were calling her Polly at the pound. We didnt really like polly so we changed it up a little bit.

My brother has a labradoodle named Molly! Looks JUST like her. I love dogs.

I have a puppy now- the turd is chewing on something she's not supposed to be as we speak.

  11. I totally know what you mean. I'm getting married in July. Don't get me wrong, I love her to death- I'm just so sick and tired of all the planning and all the crap that goes into it. It's just ONE day and it's going to cost SOOOOO much money. It just doesn't seem right. Good luck & congrats :)

  12. We have a 20" personal pace Toro. We only use it for hard to reach places since we really don't do any residential lawns. It cuts really nice, you can bag, mulch, etc. I think we paid around $550. Ours has electric start- though I know they make them without too.

If you wanna get it done faster you can always jump up to this:

That'll put you in the $3000 range though! :) You are right- if your only mowing 1/4 acre, a riding mower will be a PITA. Unless you get a zero turn... but spending that much on a mower just to mow your own home prolly doesn't make much sense.
