thanks in advance for any help.

and please don't point me to a webside with salvaged parts, like auto-parts.com i can't seem to find a fuel door listing on the entire site.

I have a red one from an '04 SS for $18 shipped. Still need to get it painted but a little bit cheaper that buying new from the dealer.

    Let me know

  3. It's on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...195415&rd=1

This auction is for a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS with 55,551 miles. The truck is black in color, with dark pewter/charcoal interior. The truck also has the optional chrome 20” rims. The SS version of the Silverado is equipped with the 6.0L HO V8 producing 345hp and the 4L65e 4 speed automatic transmission. The truck features AWD with 4.10 gears. The vehicle does have a Michigan salvage title. The vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side front corner. When we received the truck, the lower a-arm was broken at the ball joint, because of this during the accident the passenger side front wheel made contact with the lower front corner of the cab. (See pictures below) We have since replaced the passenger side lower a-arm and knuckle. The truck now lot drives. The exterior of the truck is in good condition; however it does have a few dings, scratches and small dents around the truck. The interior is very good condition with very little wear on seats. There is some damage to the upper dash pad on the passenger side. The rearview mirror was damaged in the accident and the gel from inside the mirror leaked onto the dash pad. The chrome wheels are in excellent condition, however there are only three rims, as one was damaged in the accident. The spare tire is now currently on the truck. As mentioned earlier the truck does start and lot drives, everything mechanically works as it should with no problem, even the A/C. Some of the items the truck will need is a driver side airbag, the front windshield, the radiator support along with the radiator (it still holds coolant but the upper mounting tab is broken), front bumper, grill, headlights, bumper and passenger side front fender. With some bolt on body parts and some work to the passenger side lower front of the cab this truck could be easily fixed. Please contact us with any questions or if you would like to see any more pictures.

  4. Ok after talking to Dave @ Yank my converter fryed the LU clutch. There was no trying to negotiating with him on replacement because he imediately insisted on complete replacement. He offered to send a brand new TT3000. After talking to him further i decided on the SC3000 converter. He is only charging me the difference from the tt3000. He was kind and friendly and willing to bend over backwards to make it right. He said he has never seen a LU clutch do what it did on my converter. He said it was metal to metal. So everything is good i should recieve my SC3000 next week.

AFA the tranny its gonna cost about 500 buck because i need a new 3/4 clutch pack as well as a 2nd gear band and reverse drum. yeah it was that bad. Thanks to Danny and Steve for all the help  and ive learned alot from this. Mainly that life in the fast lane is expensive as hell. :chevy:

That's odd. My converter did the exact same thing, metal to metal on the lockup clutch. Yet he claims he has never seen this before? Talking to a couple transmission shops, this has become a common problem for Yank, except they refuse to admit to it.

You're extremely lucky you got away with only $500 in damages, it destroyed my $3,000 trans from FLT and cost about $2,000 to get the trans rebuilt. The clutch material plugged up a couple of valves in the transmission and fried just about everything, with less than 200 miles on the complete setup.

  5. THANK YOU FINALLY SOME HELP!!!!!! ILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY!!!

Schram auto hasn't had any Silverado SS trucks in a long long time. I've cleared out most of their inventory already :D

And when they do have them in, they usually do not separate the cladding from the truck body parts.

  6. I've had several Yank converters blow up on shop vehicles here, and got nothing but lies from Yank. Horrible service when their parts fail. I suggest staying far far away from the company. Definitely go with a Vig converter. We had one of Yanks converters blow up in a brand new stage 5 FLT trans with less than 100 miles on the combo, $3,000 out of the window just like that.

  7. yup ill thrid that very expensive to do a clone....but i love that feeling after every addition!!! ive been trying to get ahold of some cladding a couple different poeple have given me some good prices im tryin to save my moeny as quicklyyy as possible. i detail cars on the side and ive been cranking some out after my day job....i was hoping to just have to save up cash for the pieces but almost everyone is a color besdies black lol so looks liek i might have to save more for paint now.....but im not given up

If anyone needs cladding, please PM me. I have quite a few pieces left from several trucks I have parted out

  8. do you happen to have the hood hinges?

did the rear taillights survive, would need both.thanksRich
Only one of them did and it has yellow paint on all over it. It would need to be buffed/polished.
willing to sell the tensioner for the accesory drive?
    Sorry, don't have one.
  9. I have a set of Ported 317 heads for sale. They were ported by Absolute Speed. They have a dual Crane spring in them, good for about .625 lift. The chambers are currently at 69.8cc

    Asking $800 for them.

    The flow specs are:

    Lift: Intake: Exhast

    .200: 150: 122

    .300: 203: 171

    .400: 253: 208

    .450: 274: 217

    .500: 292: 222

    .550: 303: 228

    .600: 310: 234

I just got the heads back from ET Heads. They went through them and made sure everything was ok. They cleaned them, replaced all the valve seals, did a clean up pass on the deck so the deck is perfect, and verified the springs are still holding good pressure.

These heads will be a great choice for anyone wanting to do a good head/cam swap and they are ready to be bolted on.

  10. Do you have the passanger door panel? I also need the little rubber mat that goes in the rear of the center console. And did your outside temp read accurately? If so I would like to get the temp sensor that is in the front grille. Where abouts are you located, maybe can do a pick up. Thank you. Goldie
No passenger door panel. The rubber mat is going with the center console.I can do the temp sensor for $15 shipped. Located in Ray, MI 48096.
    No rear passenger door? :(
