Anybody else in northern Alberta need stereo gear...?
Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Come on down.
YOU'LL BUY THE WHOLE SEAT, BUT YOU'LL ONLY NEED THE EDGE!
Can you tell I went to Monster Jam on the weekend?
-
No worries. But you don't need to bring beer. I charge $95 an hour plus shop materials, evo fee, and tax at Certified Radio, so we'll just go with that...K?

Damnit i thought you meant this Sunday. i shouldve read your original post more closely, i have to work the next two weekends after this one coming up
We can meet up if you want and anybody else too on Sunday. Sounds like you need help with the stereo system anyway.

I'm down
isn't the weekend after next weekend the 19-21st?
Or do you mean the one at the end of the month?

Man I hate those Dodges. They've been doing really well around here to with fords diesel being a pos, and chevy sales not doing well either. They're showing up everywhere.
I remember the good old days when that had that butt ugly truck from what 73-93ish? You rarely saw one on the road, now they're everywhere.
390 hp my ass. Why does my stock(except for gutted cats and a CAI) truck beat those hemi's every time?

Sounds like a anouther bad alternator. I would go back to the place that replaced it and make them warranty they're work.

I've been having a few problems with the SS lately and another one emerged yesterday. I was driving to the store to check the mail and my Hvac system was totally overriden. It was set at 15c and lowest fan speed, yet was blowing full blast and hot as hell. I just though whatever I'll go check the mail and restart the truck, hopefully that'll fix it. I got the mail and came back, went to restart and all it did was click when i turned the ignition to the start position. Then nothing, like... Nothing was working total power loss to everthing. I popped the hood and figured out that if i flicked the little black box by the battery that it would reset and i had power agian. I went and turned the key and the same click and power loss happened again. It took me 8 trys until i got the truck started :-/ is that a relay or something? Everytime it trips it rests all the settings for the Hvac controls.
Got any picks of that 'black box'?

Whatever you do make sure those vents still function, they are critical for proper/safe air bag deployment.
Mr. P.
+1
Ya If you plug them you should learn how to read lips now, in case of an accident ...
The only thing a Guy can do is build new vents around you stereo gear. Lots of work. I've done mine and it helped a bit, but o have Exhaust drone anyways so I just turn the stereo up.

i just cut the rubber part off to fit the rack.

Happened to me at west Edmonton mall. Couldn't find it for like 10 minutes. Freaked me right out!
I hate that freakin mall. 60 entrances in one mall...Jebus!
-
Yep. That'll work.
You can just leave the bose sub hooked up, it shouldn't cancel out.
-
If you pinched a wire when putting the deck in, yo should have blown a fuse. How are you checking them?
The only other thing it can be is a blown dimmer which is part of the light switch. Have a new switch to try?

I would take your brother-in-law hunting..."Here, wear this antler hat..."
"I don't know sis... haven't seen him in a while ether, he must of left town"

So there's no CDs in it at all?
-
Sounds like a stepper motor problem. Check with gm to see if you qualify for the recall first.
-
Sounds like a jamed cd. Pull the radio out and take the cover off and you should be able to slide the cds out.
Mine jammed up a few years ago, still works now after un-jamming it.

How did you wire it up then?

I agree with the mounting location. I think the A pillar is just too much in your face. However I will disagree with not using components in the rear. Made a big difference in my truck. Its the same as home audio. Why would you put bad a$$ speakers in front and cheap ones in the rear?you This is my own opinion though. I would rather be surrounded my clean, crisp music rather than just doing it half assed.
Well. I never said anything about cheap speakers in the rear and car audio is nothing like home audio. There is no surround sound.
Rear speakers are for fill. That's all. You ears are made to hear sounds in front of you. Not behind you. The days of putting rear wedge speaker on the rear deck lid under the back window are over.
Cutting holes in a perfectly good panel for tweeters is stupid and just ruins a car interior. Buy a good set of 5 1/4" coaxials and buy the best components for up front that you can afford.
But that's just my opinion.
-
There is no adjustable gain on the bose amp. Only on the adapter. Which adapter is it?
-
I always put the tweeters in the the door panel above the speaker behind the grill like where there are on the 99-02 trucks. There's not alot of room in the a-pillars for aftermarket tweets.
Don't waste your money on rear components.

Are you talking cutting the factory headrests to install screens or replacement headrests with pre-installed screens?
