  1. Guess I need to find a house with a big clean pole barn, with some more tools etc.  :banghead:

"Honey...we need to move.  Oh and I'm going to lock myself in the new pole barn for 6 onths, you won't see me for awhile ok?"

Seriously, If I had the time and place to build this, I would be all over it.  Too bad there isnt a place that would build these turnkey for a little premium.  I would pay $60k to have something like this done for me (Irealize that 90% of the point is to build it yourself, but I really do work too much and would not finish it at this point in my life)

Actualy there are quite a few places that will build them for you. try www.ffcobra.com lotsa info there

When we ordered the kit, we ordered extras like dual chrome roll bars...ceramic coated headers and side exhaust....ordered the chassis setup for independent rear instead of solid...Autometer guages...tan leather...the seats come covered...carpet comes with it......its jus alot of damn fun....lol

  3. on any Factory Five kits, there is no welding. No fabrication unless you see things you wanna customize...lights....latches...things of that nature come with the kit...the body comes green...as in fresh out of a mold...fairly rough...if yer not a body man youll need a body shop for that...best way to describe a Factory Five kit car is a real life working model car...open the instructions and dig in.....of course with anything of this nature there will be times where things dont fit perfect and whatnot...jus takes a little "engineering"....little time and paying attention.....they are designed for you to find a donor car....for the Cobra like ours..it was a 87-93 Mustang....youd use the motor...trans...and misc parts like fuel tank...some suspension peices...etc.....thats the way to do it and save some money....you can have 1 ordered and built for around 20K....we didnt go that route...ours was a little more........here ya go.....Factory Five Racing theres kits...options...prices..etc..

  4. Factory Five...same company that made our Cobra kit. They make quality stuff. If we sell the Cobra for what we want, thats what the next project will be. Probly wont be an LS7 but a modded LS6 definitely...wanna talk about bang for the buck...if you pay attention and know what yer doin...major power to weight ratio...our Cobra..mind you topless, is 2000lbs with a driver and 600 crank hp. easy math there....those guys use top notch name brand components and stand by everything they do. Id reccoment them to anyone for a badass do it yourself project.

  5. I put this appearance, b/c the company is based on appearance but Mods, if you think it will get more visits elsewhere, please move it. I love detailing and making things look nice, like we all do. I stumbled upon this growing company b/c of Monster.com. They are M.A.R.S. International. M.A.R.S. International They are mobile franchise opportunity for everything from touch up paint, accessories to windshield repair, to interior work and repair. They're designed for dealer lots, paint shops, hot rod shops, you name it. My question is has anyone dealt with or even heard of this company. They were number 1 ranked in their category by Entrepreneur.com and have done nothing but grow since 1998. Seems like a dream job for someone like me and im more than interested. I just need more personal info on something as important as this. Any info is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks.

  6. from what iv read, the reason LED's havent really been hitting the market yet for headlights is due to the bulbs getting hot and melting housings. These were in multiple LED clusters tho. I doubt 1 bulb would get that hot, but i doubt 1 bulb would be that bright either, not for driving like stated above. But when it does happen, im sure they'll look pretty badass.

  7. My dad got a DUI a few years back. Alot of what he wrote is true, and alot will depend on the location. His insurance didnt drop him, and never found about the DUI, alot of times they wont unless you buy or sell a vehicle. He lost his license for 30 days and was able to get a hardship license for the remainder of his probation. Had to go to all the counseling, and pay all those fines as well too. So i know how he feels, I was quite ashamed of him for a while as he was of himself. He drank and drove for 30 years until he went a different way home 1 Memorial weekend and that was it. He hasnt drank and drove since.
