I thought they were asking N/A?
-
what gears are you runing? 3.73 or 4.10?
3.73 but he ran a tire 4" shorter than stock. I heard that calculates to about a 4.13
-
i dont remember what he ran actually. i know out2win ran a 14.02 but you could be right.
edit now i cant remember if out2win's is an 05 or 06. same difference since his is 2wd.
Mine is an 05 RWD and my best is a 14.02, just waiting to go back to the track to run in the 13s with a new tune.
Mods are:
AEM Brute Force CAI
Pacesetter LTs (no cats)
Wait4Me tune (removed top speed limiter and deleted cats thats it)
160 t-stat
Magnaflow DI/DO part #12468
26x11.50-16 et streets
My brothers 06 GMC Vortec Max with same mods minus the Magnaflow and on 28 Et drags went 13.86. He had a nelson tune.
There is an 06 SS in South Texas that went 13.02 with a 228 cam, 3200 TQ, and full boltons.

When you're talking about stock times, DR's and removing weight shouldn't be in the same catagory. If you remove the spare because you never run it or something, I can understand. The DR's a alot more change though than just traction. Most drag radials are about 3 inches shorter than the stock tires on trucks which is not only changing the tires for traction, it's like changing the gear when you go to the track. When I went 14.5, I did it with only CAI, exhaust, thermostat, and programming. That was full weight as I took it off the showroom floor. On the 20's, toneau cover on, tailgate on, etc.
When he went 14.55 he was bone stock just like yours. SHOWROOM FLOOR STOCK! 20s and all.
BlackSS04 commented on a 6.0 barely running those times with 02sswap's mods and that is why I brought the v-max into it in ECSB trim.
-
well he also had on drag radials and what little 17's up front? thats a lot of weight reduction. great run nonetheless but it wasnt in street trim at 13.86.
He did have DR and 17s up front. I dont think the 17s up front make too much difference. They are the steelies and mine went 14.08 with the 20s and 14.02 with the 17s up front.
He pulled the light and the tailgate for the 13.86. Add that back on and throw the 20s up front and I bet its still in the 13s.

HEY OUT2WIN YOUR FROM THE RGV TRUCKS FORUM RIGHT IM ALSO A MEMBER THEIR BUT MY USERNAME IS 02SS.. HEY YOUR BROTHERS TRUCK IS THE MARRON VORTEC MAX RIGHT WELL GREAT TO KNOW YOUR ALSO HERE.. HEY GUYS AND THE ONLY WIEGHT REDUCTION DONE WAS NO TAILGATE AND SPARE TIRE...
Yeah I saw your truck over there. My brother has the maroon GMC vortec max on 22s.

even with a 6.0 and those mods, its hard to run a 14.2
massive weight deduction must have been the only way.
Take my LTs off and I think I would be pretty close.
My little brothers stock V-max went 14.55 on 20s full street trim with ~1000 miles. With just CAI, Nelson tune, and LTs he went 13.86
-
I could certainly see this being easily done with weight reduction and shorter tires, but in full street weight and just those mods, that's rather amazing.
A lot of the rcsb in south TX are low 14s with cai, tune, and exhaust. I raced one when I was down there with just bolt ons and he went 13.8 on street tires. There is a handful of high 12 and low 13 second NNBS silvys down there already.
Must be in their water

Those look like 22" Silver SS wheels....
Yup there are about 3 trucks almost identical running around down in South Texas........I posted pics about that truck about 2 months ago. Too lazy to go and look for them now.

For some reason he cant post this up. Not enough posts or something.
I was in California for the weekend so I could not join in on the fun.
His mods are Nelson mail order tune, Pacesetters, CAI, and160 t-stat. He ran 28x9.0x15 slicks.
He is about where it should be compared to my 14.02 before I tuned it in TX.
Attached are his 2 slips. He is number 4005
Here is the video along with some of our buddy's trucks

Gotta be in the tune.......What was the weather like?
The converter will really help that 60'!

Any update?

Still got it? How many credits left?

Those are some pretty sweet times man.......are you running on the 20s? MPH seem kinda low
That will get fixed when I have a cam installed

you must have an aftermarket stall, the stock wont stall any higher 1800 rpms. and shifitn through the gears doesent gain anything .
I have a factory stall and can brake stall to 2400-2500. I brought it up once before but, someone mentioned because I was 2WD

Nice truck.....lower it some.
My steering controls don't work either. Not worth the hundred dollar harness when you have touchscreen and remote.
-
I got about 4" out of my 3" belltech leafs also
-
Looks good......I got the same drop on mine except I got about 4" of drop in the back with those belltech leafs. Its gonna look great with the BSER pan
-
Mine went 14.86 stock and my little bro's 06 vortec max 2wd went 14.55 stock. (he is a member here also)

I have several 9.0 1/8 mile runs at 78 mph and they are all between 14.07 and 14.14
I had one run that was a 8.9 1/8 mile and resulted in a 14.02
Now I removed all TQ management and changed my shift points from 5600 to 6000 and got rid of the 7* of KR I was seeing on those runs and I am hoping for a 13 myself.
Your times are really impressive for the mods you have. Was it on the 20s?

Sweet tow rig they got there
Perfect combo

Nice truck....That is what I am doing with mine for wheels. Are your the Replica 22x10? What tires? If I can clear my drop, I am putting 305/40/22 if not maybe 265/40/22
-
I will be going with 4.10s so that gets my vote. Jonmalibuss installed them on his 05 VHO and talks good about them. He may be the only one around here to do a gear swap so far on a 2wd
Who has the lowest AWD?

There is a bagged one around here that still has the AWD. An older guy in a wheelchair owns it. I just never happen to catch it when I have my digital camera. It used to have stock SS wheels but now it has ugly American Racing wheels. Drives it at stock ride height then dumps it to make it easy to get in and out of.
