How do I fix that? You have to log on to Photobucket to see my videos?
-
Yup I showed up late but my little bro was their early and got some footage. You forgot to add you were also on your 22s. Here are 2 of your runs. and both your trucks.
Can you get the race of the Harley and the SRT-10 up Alex wants to see it and I dont have it.
-
Looks good! Any side shots of the whole truck?
-
Just like my little bro said, Damn nice truck

If price were not an issue, which brand of headers would you guys recommend? I see alot of you have the Pacesetters LT's. I noticed the dynatechs are probably the most expensive, are they worth the money?
Also, on average what sort of gains could I expect? I've heard headers are worth there weight in gold and also heard not to bother spending the money. Any feed back would be appreciated.
I'm looking to get some decent hp/torque gains with easy installation.
Thanks for the help fellas!
I have heard nothing but good things about Dynatech. They actually have a new "revised" batch of headers being released. The pacesetters are nice too and are less expensive.
I have heard going with shorty headers is a waste of time.
Let me know what you decide and post up some pics of your truck with the hood. I havent seen it around for a while.
Whats up? I actually ordered the hood last Monday (July 24), should have been here by now. Hopefully I'll have painted and installed by next week, I had it shipped to a paint shop. They said it would be nothing to get it painted ASAP, I can't wait.
I was talking with Barry and Steve today, we were thinking of heading to Spokane September 9th. Are you available? We should get everyone together and role up. I'd love to race the Harley again with 16's this time. Bro - I think Steve believes he can hang with us? Barry was always beating him and the other day they raced 4 times, Steve smoked him bad. I also raced Steve (on a different day) and I smoked him by probably 3-4 trucks and still pulling on him. Steve says his truck is runing alot better now. What do you think?
Anyway lets try and hook up on Sept 9th.
Sept 9th might work. I will spread the word and as we get closer I will let you know.
As for Steve hanging with us, its not gonna happen. I am not gonna lower my truck as soon as I thought. My little bro is getting my drop kit and I am getting a tt3000 torque converter. No more street racing though. Traction on my 20s will suck even worse.
I will let you know as the 9th gets closer.

What is the stock torque converter's stall speed?
I believe its 1700-1800 RPM
Mine is stock and brake stalls to 2300-2400 RPMs
How high can you brake stall an awd before its starts moving? My 99 5.3 only brake stalled to 1400. Keep in mind I understand the difference between flash stall and brake stall.

I just bought mine as well and I'm hoping to run high 14's with some stock 16 inch wheels. My brothers 2wd SS ran a 14.89 stock and we pretty much got the same trucks. So hopefully I will get to a track soon and find out.
14.86 get it right

easbaysav dropped his truck... i dont know if he did any other exterior mods though...
Yeah he had molded a rollpan to it but I think he sold his truck.
Mine has CAI, 160 t-stat, Longtubes, !cats, tune, and magnaflow exhaust. It will be dropped 4/4 on some 22s here pretty quick

Yup it was me that I8AHEMI raced. It was a hell of a race. I bet I lost by more than 1/2 a truck though. There was clearance no doubt. I have ran a best of 14.50 at the track in full street trim pulling 2.4 60'. I had a little better traction at the track than on the street so I would bet I8AHEMI is a mid 14 second truck.
I like the way mine runs on ET Streets better. 2.05 60'

Korey, is that the 275/45/20 goodyear eagle gt2?
-
honestly that truck is ruined. layin frame is horrible it serves no purpose. and you just made a typical DUB ride. why try to be something youre not? phat farm gear please thats as old as laying frame
I am just wondering what it is you are trying to do with yours Quik? Is yours not ruined? How about those "up to date" sideskirts? SS wheels on a non SS? Why try to be something your not?
I like both his truck and yours and have nothing against SS clones but telling someone that their ride is ruined cause of a bagged suspension is BS.
The dealer told me my truck was ruined when I put my K&N air filter. Is it?

I was told I didnt know what I was talking about when I told Mr. McGaughy that I "heard" his spindle didn't fit. He also hung up on me after a little back and forth. All I wanted to do was make sure customer service was gonna be good before ordering so I was asking a few questions.
Belltech it is.....that's my opinion
-
I talked to a guy at McGaughy's and he was a complete ASSH*LE!
I told him that I heard the new SS's were a little different than the AWD and he said they were the same. He was bothered by me not agreeing with him so he proceeded to tell me that "I heard" therefore I didn't know, and he said, and I quote, "you dont know what the hell you are talking about". "You aren't the first to drop a truck like that one". I then said that the brakes were larger on the new ones and then he said" Sir we have the spindle fitting the new Tahoe also" I asked him if the tahoe and tortion bar equipped trucks had the same suspension because I didnt know and he said "Sir is there anything you do know, Goodbye sir" and hung up the phone.
I think I might go with McGaughy's just because of the excellent customer service The phone only rang once before he picked it up

Here is one interior shot. You can kinda see the SS headrests. I will see if I can get more
-
Yup that is him. He lowered it 6/8 and has helper bags out back. Tires are 285/30/22. All the cladding is at the body shop and will be going on soon.
-
I ran into this truck on another board......he is a member here but didnt make to good of an impression on you guys. I think his truck looks sick.
-
Yeah the smooth ride is very nice.
Anyone have a pic of what a 4/6 drop looks like?
A 4/6 drop for 1800 is insane. I had my 99 silvy dropped 4/6 and had about $600 invested tops..............It would look bad ass that low though
