  1. Before some of you keyboard pirites :jester: tell me to "search" trust me I have. I have looked at topics that were over 2 years old trying to help me decide.

As is stands now I have belltech Spindles with shackles in ther rear to give me a 2/2. I want to go lower. I am going to buy keys for the front and want either leafs or hangers for the rear. I also plan on running Street Performance shocks at all four corners.

My question for the guys who are running either set up is, what is your general consensus about which route to go.

Questions like will my Garlord Tonneau, that weighs a ton, is that enough to mess with the compression of the leafs? Is shackles and hangers really the correct way of lowering a vehicle or is leafs better engineered and better for the ride quality. I hear the leafs run firm, will the ride quality be better if I drill the bumbstops and add the new shocks.

All in all which is the better set up, and why do you think that?

  2. I love it. At the center ring, when the ref is giving rules ect some of his opponets were towering over him and smiling about it. Then of course he knocked them the f*** out. Dude reminds me of a pitbull.

Scary to think about things like that. You be at a bar and start stuff with someone like that and not even know it until you wake up in a hospital...if you woke up at all.

  3. nice set of rides you go there, i bet you love taking care of 2 blacked out vehicals.

It sucks..bad. Mine needs to be refinshed here pretty soon. I am getting ready to put on a roll pan and finish the front end so when I do that I might have them do something to bring out the color again.

We wash our trucks more in 2 weeks than most people do in 6 months. I know our neighobors think we're nuts but they drive civics and fords so what the hell do they know. :jester:

  4. You are a few mods away from being murdered out. Front bowtie and taillights. But I like what you have done so far.

Yeah it's actually still a work in progress. I have the Shopman bowtie, just haven't put it on, can't figure out what way I want to go with it yet...either powercoat it or leave that being the only chrome piece on it. Don't know. Also plan on blacking out the Speed grill even more, to chrome for me.

Also, want to change out the front brakes for the baer 6s and powdercoat the front and rear calipers a dull yellow.

  5. Sweet rides theres some $$$$$ in those. Awsome. what type of rims are on your SSS????

Yeah we hav both been bit by the bug. It's nice though, instead of getting nagged at by my girl, she likes dropping $ into cars and trucks also.

Wheels are Symbolic, custom powdercoated black except the simulated beadlock

  6. I took these over the summer and since I just learned how to post pictures after the ZR1 ride I thought I would post these too. I know you guys love pictures so here you go...there are a ton of them.

  7. Well guys, here it is. Yesterday my Dad's buddy, a bigwig engineer from GM came over and took my girl and I out for a ride. Best ten minutes of my life. I actually finally taught myself how to post pictures just for these...knew I had to share them.

The ride was down right bad-ass. We were doing 75 mph on US 23 and in 5th gear pulling around 2500 RPM. He punched it and it felt like my truck does coming out of the hole...it pinned me to the seat harder than any vehicle I've ever been in. Hole shots were down right stupid. The car is amazing to say the least.

    Without further adue...

  8. Zippy, yeah that is exactly what I was thinking. I am planing on taking out the rear seats and putting in a Kirk roll bar.

As for W2W, they closed shop but Billy Briggs (their engine builder) bought the rights to the W2W name (look up W2Wpowertrain on line and his new site comes up) and is in the process of opening a new shop in Commerce township. I stopped in there last week to check out the progress and it is going to be huge. They are going to do everything W2W did except full race cages. He bought all the engine dyno's and even the full length chassis dyno that will fit our trucks.

The 2300 is on hold since the shop isn't complete yet but I am waiting as patiently as I possibly can. Woodward is right around the corner, guess the stroker will have to do for another year.

  9. I've searched the site with no real results. Has anyone replaced their stock seats for racing seats like Corbeau or Sparco? I am honestly thinking of doing ths.

I am thinking of replacing the two front seats with Corbeau Microsuede LG1 or CR1 with a 4pt harness. They will not be a direct bolt in but I'm sure mods can easily be done to make them fit.

I am just thinking if I am spending all this money on suspension upgrades and power adders to make this thing run I want to be able to keep my ass in the seat to enjoy it.

  10. I understand completely! :) No hard feeling against Magnacharger, I just know a ton of people have been waiting for the 2300 to hit the streets.

I have been wanting FI for my stroker since late winter and heard of the 2300 way back then. Just hearing about the dyno numbers, and testing I am too excited to wait anymore.

Plus I think it might be cool to do something a little different that probably no one else will have, or even possibly even hear about.

  11. I am getting ready to purchase the harrop 2300 unit from Australia here in the next couple of weeks for my stroker. I have waited long enough for Magnacharger.

My guys from W2W (formerly) installed one on a 69 camaro and said the unit itself was perfectly built. I am excited, just wanted to share and let everyone else know, if you're sick of waiting for magnacharger there is something else out there.

  12. Turbos are way to much of a pain in the ass for me (no offense 2004Denali). I love um but couldn't drive them...literally. I drive with hand controls, so staging at the line would be a problem. Orginally that was the way I was going to go, but after tallking to some of the people who have them they are not what I am looking for.

I know W2W is working on a guys Denali with a 408 who is waiting to install a Kenne Bell 2.6 liter. I'm just waitin for them to get it all bolted up and I am going to run up there and watch the dyno pulls and see what kind of power she makes.
