    guess I need to change up my planning now, had everything priced out last week to go flat black, it was suppose to get done in mid Sept. Looks like its back to the 2 tone idea. Keep the pics coming, I still may do mine as well but was hoping to be the first to go full flat black. :cheers:

     

     

    Too slow :jester: I will have pics up soon. It looks so sick I hope to get it all put together today!

    My new puppy jumped on the hood and roof of my truck a few months ago and messed it up good. Finally got a little time at the shop to spray the truck. Going to get the last coat on tomorrow. I took the xm and onstar antena's off to help clean it up. I'll post pics hopefully friday when its finished. Wheels are going to be flat black also, wished I did that when I first had them done.

    Could have been me on sepulveda. I have stock black ss rims. I work on parthenia and sepulveda and live off Fallbrook and saticoy. I think I know the hispanic guy you first saw, I have seen him to and gave a revv a few times.

    lol nice kill on a high 14 sec truck. jk. but seriously, lightnings they are not. 450hp 500tq and still in the mid to high 14's. Guess its cause they weigh so much. How much are you S/C SS's putting out?

     

    Re-Read the thread buddy, there is no Lightning. It would have been a better race I bet if there was.

    On my way home I turn into the left hand lane and there is a Ford F-150 Roush edition in front. He makes a left and gets on it hard, and so do I while getting a little spin from my front tire. We did not get far because of traffic but as soon as I pull up next to him he had his window down and asked if I was super charged. We pulled over and checked each others rides out. He said he is running 6lbs of boost and weight was around 6100 lbs. I was unimpressed under the hood, my Radix 122 looked much bigger than his Roush charger, I did like it was black thoe. I was behind him pulled over on the side of the street and told him to hit it and I would be right behind. I guess he was confident he was going to kill me and did not want the advantage of being in front. So we lined up together and I told him to go. He hit it and I hit it spinning my front wheel a bit and I swear the race was over before I hit second gear. I would say I was four trucks away before shutting down around 50 mph. He was very cool. We pulled over again and talked trucks for about ten minutes, exchanged #'s to figure when we can run each other from a roll or hit the track for some fun. Very cool guy witch I don't run into very much around here. Even other SS owners around here that I give a thumbs up to look at me like WTF! Oh one last thing, I love AWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sick kill :thumbs: ...bet the vette guy was pissed

     

    He had a big grin on his face before the first run, the second one he looked like WTF just happend. I wanted to talk to him at the light but he would not even look over at me.

    Id be very interested in seeing a stock RWD SS vs AWD SS. Not saying we could declare who is faster because of a variables (driver). Reason I say stock is because it is the most fair/even type of race. I would really like to see what stock truck hits the speed governor first in a drag. A 200lb weight difference is something. Wheres the carbon fiber..... :chevy:

     

    Stock for stock the rwd will win. I raced my buddy with his 05' sss vs my stock 04' sss at the time. I had him through the intersection by a fender and he slowly walked away after that. Now he has no chance. IMO stock awd sss don't make enouff power where the awd is a big advantage.

    Heading to work I get cut off by a yellow vette. I was still sleepy but started to get tingly and then the adrenalin started to pump!! I see he want to play and I was game. We pull up to one of those signals that has lights for every turn lane so I was not to sure when it was going to change. I stalled to about 1500 and ripped it off the line. I was about three-four lengths ahead of him and it was over for him. We catch the next light together and this time I was going to stall it up. I stalled to 2400 or so and killed him again. This time I had my arm out the window when he came by and was like "what happen?". I thought those vetts were suppose to be fast. :cheers:

    Nice kill. it always nice when you can smoke a sports car when it weight half what you do. how many pounds on the charger i dont know what a 3.0 pulley is good for. i run a turbo set up on the sss. :thumbs:

     

    9-10lbs

     

    Make sure you give the SS a cold one also! I think they help ftw. :jester:

    Went to my buddies baby shower last night and had a few cold ones. My chick gets very paranoid when I drink so I let her drive my truck the fifty miles back to the valley. Almost at our ramp to exit a convertible vette fly's buy us and I tell my chick "GET ON IT" and to my surprise she does and follows him to the same exit as we were getting off. I was in the passenger side and tell the guy in the vette "race my girlfriend" and without any hesitation he was game on. So my chick and him hit it at the same time and are neck and neck but had to slow because of cars. I point the guy to a less bizzy street and he is game. My chick was not so we switch seats. We stop in the street and I tell him on three lets go. So I count to three and hit it but he does not. So I shut down around fifty and he comes next to me and tells me I caught him off guard :rolleyes: . So we do it again on three, I get to one count and he punches it :wtf: , he has two cars but I ate those up fast and passed him as he shifted into second gear. Now he looks like he is getting pissed, so was the hot chick with the old man. He asked me a few questions as we were waiting for the light- if I built the engine, I tell him no its a 6.0l :P . He said he has the same then asked me if I was stick and what year. He was an 05' stick.So the light is about to go green and I stalled it up to 2200 and ripped it off the line. He did ok off the line but I had him by 5 lengths and shut it down at 80 mph. My first vette kill and I loved it. My legs were shaking I think all of me was shaking actually. I am going to give my truck a nice cleaning today to thank her ftw :cheers: .
