Is that possibe even with the stock cam in there? I have not touched the internals of the motor, and would it happen just sitting? I drove the truck home, parked it in the garage for two hours went to jump in it to get some food and thats when I found out when I went to start it.

Should be able to tow two SS with the 7.3l powerstroke. My Dad has the same truck in a F-350 and tows a 12,000lb twin diesel boat around. Those motors will run well over 300k its the trans that has problems.

I orderd a ported ls6 oil pump, a rollmaster double roller timing chain and a 160* stat from Skaug and dicky. I hope to have it by friday so I can have the truck this weekend. I am still wondering why the oil pump went out. I did just switch over to sinthetic about 3k miles ago.

My mechanic said it looked ok. But the pump sure did not look like it was worn out. I am going to order a ls6 pump and a double roller timing chain. Does anyone have any part #'s or contacts?

Ok we got the pan off and the pump is pumping very little almost nothing. Also we noticed the timing chain has a lot of play in it. Does anyone have any part # or recommendations to a better pump. I hate to put another stock one in it if this one took a dump so soon. The timing chain also is another issue, I guess I am going to serch around.

I work at a used truck lot 15 min away from my apartment. AAA was there in 10 min. I did not even have time to take a dump lol.

The mechanic pulled the oil filter off and we gave it a quick start and no oil came out. Its not looking too good.

I just called AAA to have it towed to the shop. I have my stock gauge cluster there too, so I might try to see if that works.

I just turned the ingniton to the on position and it does not move at all. I also started it up again to see if it was a glitch and it is still doing it.

Oh, I also checked the oil and looked around the motor, everything looked ok.

I went to go start my truck yesterday night to go get some dinner and as soon as I started it the truck had no oil pressure:confused:. I didn't have any problems with the truck the day before. I hope it is something electrical but I have no idea. When I started the truck it sounded normal, but I shut it off quick.

Get some 60lb injectors, that should help.

I am very happy with my Yank 2600 behind the radix. I do tow with mine too, works great.

I have the alumnasports. I know many alot of peep's on this site have them too. I got my fronts for on sale for $850 from Tbyrne. For the price I think they are great.

Its a great deal. Too bad they won't work on the ss, but all other 1/2 tons.
