  1. I noticed something while cleaning my SS today, and it explains a lot - take a look:

I'm pissed to say the least, no wonder my mileage has been falling and the truck runs noticeably different on hot days.  Everybody better check your Outlaw where the tube connects to the MAF and make sure you aren't having the same failure.  We'll see Monday how their customer service is...

    Mr. P.

Looks like ur suckin to hard......................... :jester:

  2. Maybe someone can help. I have a 06' SSS 2wd, and my first gear really sucks. The SSS is suppose to be a launch monster. I've been testing my launch, but nothing seems to help. I've got a custom tune, but I can't remember if it did this before the tune or if it was after I installed my Volant CAI. I've won all my races from 3 to 10 trucks, but they always get the jump on me. WTH?

    Here's what I do:

I'll get the rpms up to about 1800 or so while doing a brake TQ with the TC on. It will bog for a split second and then launch. I've even tried it with the TC off, still the same thing. I cleaned my Volant filter which was dirty, but it still does it. I just thought of something while typing. I installed a custom ram air from the Volant to the air dam. Do you guys think it may not be getting enough air into the system off the line? I'll try and take it off, and see what happens. Some of you have suggested that it might be in the TQ management, but my tuner says no. What do you think?

? are you putting the shifter in 1st ,and if you are is the TC light coming on ?

    try this

move the shifter to 3rd and turn TC off .see if there is a differance,

if it is in the 1 st posistion and you power brake ,it is taking off in second so you feel like its boggin down but its not

  3. I've had two complete rebuilds of the front diff in the last 10 months.  :banghead:  Last time was a month ago and the grind is back. I have a decent dealer, but he is very frustrated with my truck right now, so I wish you better luck than I. I've read where some had the entire differential replaced with a new unit to resolve the noise. That will be my next attempt. I agree with others, let them mess with the hubs if they want to, that's their headache. Either way, good luck.

Mr. P, can you elaborate a little on the real way to fix this issue? I love the truck, but can't take this differential issue any longer. Any help is appreciated.

Stealership is crazy not to get a replacement ,they are cheap and you can do one in an 1-1.5 hr

  4. Anyone see the truck chase in Dallas?  A woman driving a stolen F250.  The front tires blew and when she pulled over she jumped out the passenger door and jumped the barrier.  She tried to make it to, what appeared to be a river.  The cops grabbed her before she hit the water.

we call that a creek around here :jester: ,stupid woman should know better than to try and run like that

  5. Hi all, I just got a call from stouss and he needs help.  He installed the Zippy (Superior) kit and servos in his SS last week and everything's been great until tonight when he lost 4th gear.  To make things worse he is two hours from home and is wanting to know if it would be safe to drive the truck home as it is or if that would damage the transmission.  According to him there is no SES light on the dash, just missing 4th gear and from his description I think the truck is starting in 2nd gear as well.  If any of you guys would be able to enlighten him on what is happening or what to do/not do, then please call me if you have my number, or PM me so I can get you his cel.

    Thanks in advance -

    Mr. P.

Tell him shut it of restart ,if its still the same drive it home 3rd gear position ,watch the temp n RPM's .......is there reverse ? if not he broke the sun shell. No 2nd, 4th or rev its the shell .If he has R its probably a solenoid

  6. After a few scares looks like our baby Maryjanye is gonna be just fine. I didn't update at all because at times it was pretty difficult. She got really sick from an infection in mid October and had to be transported from Glendale Adventist Hospitol to White Memorial Hospitol in Los Angeles. There the doctor told us that if she wasn't getting better by 24 hours we were gonna loose her. That was the longest 24 hours of my life but Maryjayne is a fighter. Her condition got better and better and now I am happy to tell you all that she is schedule to come home in 10 days. I'm so happy.

The force is with U :)

  7. Right behind the crossmember.  Is this the rear seal?  Driveshaft Seal?

Whatever it is, it's leaking.  I just had my truck to the transmission guy (for over 2 weeks) and he was supposed to fix the leak.  I get back home, park my truck in the garage and then come out to inspect a couple hours later.  Sure enough, it's still leaking.  :banghead:

The only good news is I have a new 3000 stall and switched the billet servo out for a vette.  It drives awesome now!    :D

So, getting back to the question-  Any ideas?

(BTW, I used one of chase's pics to illustrate.)  Thanks Chase!

  8. I have low beam silverstars and fog lights but i've had to replace 2 low beams the last couple months. I really like them and i know i'm putting them in right but i don't know what the problem is.

If you touch the bulb with bare hands it will leave body oils ,make sure to use clean paper towel to install them
