I just got the PC 7424XP and already have some Zaino polish. With all the positve comments about Adams products and a few others, I think I will try one of them since they have a complete paint care system.
-
Thanks, I think I'll try some of the Adams products to remove swirls and stuff and then go over it with Zaino.
-
Has anyone used Zaino products with the Porter Cable 7424XP polisher, and if so, what Zaino product were used from start to finish?
-
Either Torque Thrust D or T7OR will look great.

He is 28 years old and has a job, your extension of courtesy has been grossly taken advantage of. You're not his mother--- send him on his way. He obviously doesn't appreciate what you have been doing for him.

Nice work and impressive designs on all the tats. It's amazing how much trends change over time. Growing up in the back in the 60s, most people that had tatoos had either been or were in the military, or were bound for or in prison. Nowdays it's a popular trend and cool thing to do for many. I have always been skeptical if I ever got one, I would someday really regret doing it. Besides, like previously stated, I don't like needles either.

Looks good. Making it like you want it is all that matters. I agree that what you are in the process of building is what Chevy should have done with the truck in the first place. I love my SS extended cab, but the regular cab/short bed is the ideal platform for a performance truck.

Hey does anyone know who sells some nice sets of aftremarket pedals for our trucks. I know Stylin has some but are there any others? Thanx guys!
Check out Ultimate Pedals, they are a little pricey, but very nice.

I like it all. Great look.
-
Thanks, ooh that hurts being the oldest one today though.
-
I will take a set of them. You want the money paypaled to you or mailed?
I want a set too. Thanks

if you click on the template, put a piece of paper over the screen, and trace the outline of the side pattern, it works. Both myself and imposster have done this to mount our wings. it's as close to 100% scale as your gonna get. as far as the brackets, they should be easy enough to fab up, just take a piece of sheet metal, bend a 90*, and then mark for trimming, drill three holes in the bracket, two in the bed, and then it's done.
Thanks, I'm assuming the bend is made where the template wraps around the inside of the bed toward the tailgate and the rest of the bracket remains straight, or does it have to curve with the end piece's shape like the template wraps around? I'm getting paranoid about this --- I sure don't want any COSTLY mistakes.
-
Me too,and an template to correct scale!
-
So, will the bracket basically be the size and shape of the template and bend to the shape od the curve of the end piece?
-
I think it's a rounded 90 degree bend, not sure. There's a post with pics of the template for the side pieces. It has sizes and I plan to try and use it tomorrow to cut out a bracket. I'll try to post it up tomorrow when I get one made.
Thanks, is the picture of the template at correct scale when you click on 100% while viewing it?
-
Hmmm, I can't tell much from that picture about the angle of the bend or size. How do you get the placment to drill the holes and make the bend? Sorry for being "dense" about this!
-
I got the spoiler today, now I just wish I knew how to get a proper scale layout template and proper size brackets for the end pieces. Anyone have any info. on how to get the correct template and brackets?
-
OK, I hope I'm not the only confused one about the template and the brackets for the end pieces. Will we be able to get a true-scale copy of the template? Is someone planning to fab the brackets, or is there away to get the correct shape and size to make them? At this point I will sure pay someone to make copies of the template and fab the brackets. :
-
Does anyone have a "good picture of the brackets and the size they are and how they are mounted to the end pieces. I'm supposed to be getting my spoiler this afternoon.
-
Good job, I like it. I think this is what the SS should have been originally. Keep making it what you want it to be.
-
Mine was like $177 shipped and I got it today. Not packed the best but at least I got it. now to fab up some mounting brackets and test fit before sending off for paint
Do the metal L brackets have to be used, or can the end pieces be mounted with the 3M tape? I may be repeating questions, but do the dealers not have the ability to get these brackets?
-
I just got a UPS tracking # with a tentative delivery date of 3/12.
-
I received an invoice and paypal request dated Friday. I did not open the email and send the payment until yesterday. Have not heard anything today thus far.

Looks good, I just got an overlay for mine but haven't put it on yet. Hmmm, I may try to paint mine now. Did you use something like Dupil-Color?

If I use the Adams products with the PC 7424, should I use something like Dawn dishsoap to get the Zaino off first, then machine it? I probably will go back over with what Zaino I left after that, or should I totally use the Adams?
