On tuesday at about two in the morning my neighbor wakes me up to let me know that two guys have just tried stealing my truck. she scared them of by yelling at them. she said they tried starting the truck but it wouldnt start. they got in by popping in the key lock on the door and they damaged the ignition switch. just a couple months ago they stole my drivers side mirror, just the mirror. and now this! so this weekend i wnet ahead and got a new alarm from clifford with the 2 way pager. (50.5x) with remote start. it seems like you cant have anything nice anymore without someone trying to take it away. i've been told by several sources that if if you live around south gate or huntington park, watts area, florence area in CA. and your driving either an SS or a rst regency silverado you are heavilly targeted by a certain car club who is responsible for all of these thefts. so be careful with your truck near these areas.

do the 2005 ss's have a pcv? mine just has the hose to the valve cover but no pcv! i bought the fv391 but it looks like it wont fit.

is it possible to reprogram the pcm to run a 160* stat with a snap on scanner like the solus?

the truck it seems like it lost a little bit of power and it has an eratic idle, not to much where you can see the idle go down but you feel it go low then back up again. im going to change it tomorrow along with plugs and pcv and also oil change.

i know its a repost but, does anyone have the part number for the mobil 1 oil cap and embem? i think the vettes come with it stock not sure though.

For the past two weeks i have noticed that my temp gauge doesnt go up to where it use to. it use to go to almost half the gauge and stay there, but now it seems like its taking a long while for it to even get a quarter of the way which i think is 180 degrees. even on that heat wave we had here in southern cali it stayed at quarter of the way up. you guys think it might be a stuck open thermostat?

how th ehell did i miss them all? oh well ill grease it up this weekend if it doesnt rain. what type of grease do yo guys use?

i have an 05 ss and i was doing an oil change on it and i couldnt find any zerk fittings to grease up the front end. is it a maintenace free suspension?

im just stock other then my flowmaster exhaust and my k n N intake. but i keep it clean though!

mobil one 5w-30 every 3000 miles. or when it gets to 50% of the oil life. (which is about 3k)

paint it candy apple "green". yup yup that truck would look tight, with the interior done with a light tan leather with all the stitching done with the same color green string. have the emblems done the same as the vents. now for the wheels...hmmm...24 inch intros with inside part (not the facia) but the inside of the spokes candy apple green too. trust me youll trun some heads. or you can always go silver birch metallic with some ghost rally lines like the RST trucks have, but they have the vynil sticker. oh and dont forget the intimidator wing in the back.

Actually i was going to work last week and i happened to pass one up and then this guy was swerving in and out of lanes i guess to catch up to me and when he did he steped on the gas but let go real quick sort of "revving" it i guess anyways i catched up and stomeped on it when i was right next to him we were going about 25 when i pucnched it an so did he (trust me ) and i pulled away a good three car lengths before he turned on to the freeway.(pu**y) nice ass trcuk though

i changed mine at 17k cuz they were screeching too much. so i put on some performance friction pads and feels good as new now with 10k miles on them. i was also thinking about painting my calipers but i dont know what type of paint to use.

YOU HAVE 24000 MILES ON THE STOCK PADS? I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT WENT AWAY WHEN I PUT HAWKPADS ON.
