    Thanks for the replies so far. Sniper : I read your topic as well and find that we have a similar problem...our cam is close. Very interesting. I am surprised that you cannot brake stall it beyond 2000 rpm. Those brakes can't hold the truck I have to press as hard as I can to hold it to 3000.

     

    My first run was right after I get off the highway. I did the same thing last time I went. My best run is always the first one. After that I don't know what happens but it slows down a bit. I also tried different rpm's to launch that's why there is so much inconsistency. It was around 14.5 all night after my first run. Go figure. I have an aluminium CAI that may warm the air or maybe the truck is hotter although it's been at the same temps after that.

     

    Also guys I don't have headears...could that be something. I also read about the intake limitation of the truck beyond 5000 rpm....

     

    So from what I see you get a better launch from idle is that it Sniper?

    launch from idle. with my torque converter it works best from a stand still.

    Thanks, it was me, I had the hood installed right before we left and also lowered it too.

     

    I got away with no tickets this year. Last year i had 3 and the group i was with had a total of 7. THis year out of six of us, only 3 tickets were given and all 3 where bullshit.

     

    There was a report on me/my truck?

    Sick truck man. I saw you on 26th and baltimore i stayed at the flagship oceanfront. I ran out infront of you while traffic was stopped and hoped in my truck across the street and gave you a rev up but never caught back up to you in time.

    thats Justin Lamanna. that is one bad ass truck. weather pretty much sucked sat night. cops were really bad this year. i was out crusin around alittle. i mostly stood in the front yard of the house my friends stayed at on the corner of 12th and baltimore ave and got drunk every night.

     

    i was looking for you but didn't see you around.

    yes that is a sick truck. I ran across the road infront of him on foot and hopped in my truck and gave him a rev but couldnt catch up to him. I saw him a few other times around. I had 6 people in my truck pretty much the whole time so racing and goofin around was out of the question for the most part. And once it rained i got no traction what so ever. Wish i had AWD like some of you guys.

    I agree, FWD burnouts are stupid. That Mazda did some sweet dohnuts towards the end of that video tho. Only thing Im wondering is why everyone acted like they just saw Sasquatch after seeing some rubber on the ground.

    haha i wasnt even there when they shot that. Yea thats my buddy matts beater car it has no bumper and he runs the piss out of it. He other car is a 12 second srt-4 neon. My buddy dustin who has the madza had a cummins before and it would do flat spins with 35s. It was the fastest diesel ive ever been in.

    Has anybody ever raced a stock Hemi LX? (Magnum/Charger/300c)

    I'm stealin my wife's Hemi Magnum this summer, and runnin it at the track. It actually seems to move not bad for a big car0- I've seen mostly low 14 second times for stock LXs at our track, but I see guys on the LX forums posting high 13 second times for dead stock 5.7 Magnums.

    I'm gonna see what I can do with a dead stock 5.7 LX....

     

    How heavy are those Rams????

    My ram is about 5200lb (2wd QC SLT) + Me (170) at race weight. Everyday my truck is around 5500 lbs + Me.

    Were leaving shortly, hope to see everyone in OC thats going. I'll have access to the internet so post up a meeting place amoungst everyone and lets try to meet up.

    ill be down around 8 ish on friday night got a damn final on friday till 5:30. Ill be there till sunday afternoon. Im good to meet sat during the day with my truck but later that night ill probably be drinking and wont be driving anywhere. So let me know. If you see my all blacked out dodge ram crusing around then wave to me and ill meet up or pullover or whatever.

    Those are nice and really are the ultimate sleeper.

    The ultimate sleeper is my buddys car

     

    He has a 06 mazda speed 6. Has a 272 hp turbo 4 cyliner in it. Ran a 13.3@100mph bone stock with a 1.7 second 60' time.

     

    He added an intake and straight piped it and it now runs 12s with a +1500 DA for less then $300 lol. Its crazy fast and its AWD.

    some hemi's are dogs. They must of been built on a friday. lol. the 06's+ are also slower then the 03-05s. Some guys also but the hemi badges and put them on their trucks. It makes us look bad. lol. i have no badges on my truck and most guys dont even know its a hemi whem my hood is even popped. lol

    Yeah I know what you mean. I'll bet MOST hemi guys would have just said some lie like they were gaining on him or something like that. I think alot of people regardless of make just liek to lie online when they know it is very hard to get called out. I forgot to mention, I know a guy that lives pretty near me and his SS just has longtubes, volant, tune and a corsa muffler and tips and his SS spanks my truck. I have never run him but just by comparing times. His truck is 3-4 tenths faster than mine.

     

    I know the guy is probably telling his friends he beat me because he was in front of me and I would admit if I lost but we were totally dead even.

     

    When does the SSS speed limiter kick in? Maybe someone that knows could chime in. I'm sure it is higher than the 106 my dodge does but I was just wondering.

    most gm trucks have a 98 mph cutoff. but some go up to 105ish not sure about the SSS. he probably had a tune if he was still going when u hit your rev limiter.
