Nope all the SS's were extended cabs with 6.0l motors if you see the SS badging on any other Chevy pickup from 03 to 07 it is a clone and there a alot of them out there, there's also a few guys on this site. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Have you checked the ball joints?, when you say you have a 1/4 in of play are you squeezing the tie rods or grabbing the wheel and moving it left to right slightly?. As far as parts I have always had success with Moog but you could use OEM.Good luck. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

Don't get me wrong I am all into Modding the truck but to the point were you can easily return it to stock, I was never and still am not a fan hacking something up to make a part fit.I am glad your having second thoughts and a 6spd would have been nice in these trucks. If you have an Intimidatory why mess with cutting holes and screwing with things? I would do bolt ons but no hacking due to the fact these trucks might be worth something down the line due to their limited run, but its your truck you do what you want. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

hey Guys i figured i would post up some info most of you with hid's may know but recently my driver light stopped working so i started testing my hid's between my ss ans d-max and could not get them to work so i sent both fronts back to ddm and after 5 weeks got them back.today i tried to reinstall them and they didnt work so again i try testing the ballast lamps etc and between both of my trucks but no lights,so now i am frustrated and do a search on the forum and remember that for some reason the ddm's need to be plugged in backwards meaning the truck lamp harness has a slot or key so that the lamps are plugged in one way and that is how i plugged my ballast to the harness this is wrong the lamp harness and ballast connectors need to be plugged in 180 degress of or they may not work and it will save you some aggrivation.

That's a very good point make sure all the electrical is dry you might be able to spray some dielectric grease or something to retard the corrosion. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
