  1. Love the truck, however, I'm not a fan of that style bumper. I know its a new body style so they adapt the bumper to the rest of the truck, just not feelin the vents on it. Other than that it is purely awesome. I liked the interior though. Unlike our crappy stock SS seats that without a headrest, you would assume its a regular silverado....
  2. The only thing I could think iof is that there is a plastic black ring or snap ring that fits in a groove of the servo. Make sure it is on there correctly and has not been eaten up, it happened to me and it wouldnt shift into 2nd.
  3. Hes a crossdresser that carrys a gun when he works the corners.
  4. You are going to want to get tuned by Blackbear performance. I could seriously type a ton of paragraphs on Justin and his work, instead I'll let you see for yourself. Alot of members on here have been tuned by him and are very happy. http://www.blackbearperformance.com/ Oh, and I'm glad you read my transmission exploding thread LOL. I hope someone benefits from it.
  5. Professional Firefighter/Paramedic Work part time (on my days off from the dept) at a wholesale pool supplies store.
  6. Yes Sir, I know the socket size, however, there is a threaded fitting that goes inside the oil pressure sending unit that needs to be hooked up to the autometer tubing for it to work. I guess , but that means I would have to remove the entire sending unti, not just the sensor.
  7. So my autometer oil pressure gauge is all wired up, however the only thing I need to know is what is the size of the oil pressure sending unit ? I need to get a fitting that will go in there to complete my gauge install. I've looked all over and had no luck. Thanks Its an 03 Silverado SS 6.0L AWD.
  8. I guess that does make sense because you do have to imput your vin.
  9. Great deal and the work is already done so whoever buys it will not have to run the cable/scan and do the logs. Someone should jump on this.
  10. Man, that looks awesome yet stockish appearance. Very nice.
  11. Hey Bill, I'm very sorry to hear that man. Were you able to get any momentos out (besides the parts) ? Pictures etc? I know this must be tough for you, but from the way you made it sound, you have a positive attitude in the worst of times, that is the best possible thing you can have when going through something like this. Again, I am sorry to hear this , hope everything works out for you in the best.
  12. Boy oh Boy, brings me back to after my transmission servo.

    I Got Burnt

True story, I would love to line up with a lightning (I know I would lose) but I would like to see how far off I am. Although, if anyone remembers my incounter with that SRT10 Ram 6spd where the guy couldnt drive and I took him from 0-70 then he passed me....ANYTHING can happen on the street....now I'm gonna find that thread cause some guy was trying to say it was impossible. I see this thread has been moved.

  15. Thanks for posting up. I have the 03 + setup from Justin.
  16. Well, I did read that and got some usefull info from it. I especially read the diff with keys over spindles and vice versa. It shed good light on it, I was just wondering if anyone could explain in more detail. Thanks for you're input tho.
  17. Ok guys, I've been reading up lately and asking some people for their advice on this topic. I have it narrowed down that I want to do a 2/4. Now, there are many kits to choose from and I have a question concerning 2 kits I have my eye on. First: Direct from Mcgaughys 2004+ SS TRUCK OR 4WD WITHOUT WELDED HANGER PN 33041 2/3.5 DROP KIT WITH KEYS, SHACKLE HANGER 2 OR 4WD $250 shipped PN 11004 2/3.5 DROP KIT WITH SPINDLES, SHACKLE HANGER 2 OR 4WD $410.00 shipped Now DJM: 2/4 : Keys in the front, shackles/ hangers in the back w/ carrier bearing $313.00 shipped. I am saving round $100 by going with the keys setup however, I would rather spend the $ for it to be the best than cut corners cause its cheaper. So besides the ride quality, what is the disadvantage of the keys over the spindles? Lookin for some advice here and opinions/ differences / advantages of one kit over the other. Thanks.
  18. I think its all personal preference. I happen to like a clean look, not too flashy so Iwent with American Racing RT-S rims. Another of my favorites is the Eagle Alloy 064's I believe. They also look really good. Like I said though, its all preference. I'd suggest searching with the search button and enter different rims you are looking at to see if anyone has posted pics with them on their truck. Or just type in rims and there should be a good amount of pics to help you out. BTW, this topic probably belongs in the apearance section , a moderator will prob move it soon to give you the heads up. Good luck in you're search.
  19. I like all the coors lite commercials with the football coaches LOL.
  20. Glad to hear you got time to visit family. Stay safe on the road man.
  21. The SS would have been a performance truck if it was able to keep up with the other "performance trucks" (SRT10/Lightning) stock for stock. It cost almost the same brand new, so why not.....but thats already done. Maybe they will come out with a single cab LQ9 s/c from the factory or release the 427 SS silverado.
  22. I dont like the whole thing of lifting a "performance truck" however, I will have to admit, at least it dosent look like a mudder. I would have to say its the best looking possible situation if you were going to lift it.
