When I ran my ex-brother in laws stock L, we were even until about 50mph then he just pulls away. He ran 13.55et stock. He's got a bunch of goodies now from Johnny Lighting. I dont think I will race him again unless its this winter...AWD baby

When I was like 17 a buddy and me were racing, doing about 95 in a 35. We ended passing a undercover cop. He pulled my buddy over and as I was going by he pointed at me to stop and pull over...I did. The cop chewed our ass, majorly...my buddy started crying but the cop let us go after a good ass chewing. My buddy and I stopped at the next restraunt and laughed our asses off...we were soooo lucky...our parents never found out .

Ya I was worried too at first...trust me. I think a real race, with me stalling I would have taken him pretty easy. My truck was in OD also, I was not manual shifting. Im sure this would be a great debate but my truck runs better when I shift manually. Like I said I was playing catch up from the start...but I got him. I dont think you'll have anything to worry about, if you run one let us know hows it turns out .

First off, I dont know why but every time I street race I always let the other guy go first...my bad. Anyway this new Tundra (QC 4x4) pulls up next to me at the light. Wouldnt you know it, I let him take off first, then Im like WTF this guy is racing me? So I nail it, by then the Tundra is about a full truck infront of me. I slowly start pulling him in and got about a truck on him by 80mph. The guy was cool, he waved as I was pulling past him. Gotta admit, my little SS was trying real hard to play catch up, I will definalty not hesitate next time a Tundra pulls up. I was pretty impressed, that big ugly Tundra pulled half way decent for no mods, that I could tell anyway.

The consoles (Provox) are from the early 80's actually. We have recently upgraded to the new Yokogawa system, its what companies like Shell use. We've tried Delta V and SCADA but the Yokogawa sytems seems to fit our needs better, for now. The control room pictured is that last to be upgraded, will happen soon, probably early next year. We've been using a California engineering firm (Flour) for assistance. They appear to have their stuff together.

Mine bolted up perfectly. I have the LT's with hi flow cats and Corsa Sport...no Y-pipe?

Here are some pics that I captured today of the $400 million expansion that is occuring at my company. Currently we have about 400 contractors on site and are expecting up to 1300+ by the end of the year. I am a Shift Superintendent responsible for our current facility and the new exspansion. The building that is being erected is nearly 200ft tall, tallest one in town. The pic is our consoles the Ops operate from, we have 3 seperate control rooms

Sounds good, not much noise while cruising and definately no "drones". I absolutley love my Corsa Sport and really loved it after installing the Dynatech LT's. Get the Corsa, you won't be dissappointed.

Thanks for the reply fellas. AUTOGUY your truck looks obsolutely sick. Everthing ties together nicely, though on the Black SS it (to me) does not look as good as yours. Maybe its the color combo? 06sssracinstrips looks pretty good too, I like his hood with the flames in the strips. How about it, any other Black SS's with racing strips? Different colors? Call me crazy but I was thinking of Chevy/hugger orange racing strips?

Im thinkin about getting some racing strips painted on my cowl hood. Id like to see what some of you guys have done. I was thinkin of some old school strips or maybe real flames, not sure what to do. Any ideas?

I got one from Allen Nelson (Nelson Performance), and have had no troubles. So far his customer service has been excellent. Re-tunes (when you upgrade mods) are free, just need to pay for shipping. I went 14.39 et with Nelson tune, CAI, and catback...

So me, my wife, and my 8yr old daughter are dining out tonight at a public place and the guy sitting next to us is just obnoxious as hell. I swear he must have thought he was in bar or something? He was throwing F-bombs out of his mouth about every fourth word and pretty loud. After about 10 minutes of this I asked him if he could tone it down, that there were kids around (mine werent the only ones). He just looked at me and somewhat quieted down a little. Anyway we ate and left, the guy with his wife follows us out and asked me who the hell do I think I am? I told my wife and daughter to get in the car, they did. The guy asked me again who the hell do yo think you are and lightly pushed me in the back. I quickly turned around and grabbed him my the throat and put him up againt the truck next to us and was going to start pounding on him. You wont believe this...the guy starts to tell me he was sorry and was only coming out to apologize. What a puss! Can you believe this guy?

There's one in my neck of the woods that ran 13.2 bone stock. Id think twice about running one.

In my neck of the woods, home prices are rising quickly. We're usually on the tail end of the swing compared to the rest of the country. Nearly three years ago I purchased a brand new 3bedrm/2bath home (1150sq/ft) for 86k, sold it 2yrs later for 135k. Moved into my current home, brand new custom home with 4bedrm/2bath (2000sq/ft with 1000sq/ft garage) purchased for 250k and recently appraised for 335k (6months later). During contruction my contractor offered me 20k just to back out of the contract. I may look into Texas properties at this rate, for when I retire. I have family down there and absolutely love their life style.

Havent seen The Secret yet, but will look for it. Sounds interesting. I also believe that attitude and what you truly believe inside can and will change things you desire. I once worked with a guy who was pissed at the world, everthing pissed him off...the type of guy who would be pissed if you gave him a million dollars, you know the type? One day our boss told him "you know, you only get as mad as you let yourself". Those words have stuck with me (did not change my co-worker one bit) for about 3 yrs now and let me tell you, what a diffence those few words have made in my life. Sounds simple I know, but being positive has really opened a bunch of doors for me.
