raising the idle will not hurt anything. especially at 800 rpms. no worries there if yours is an 03 i have a programmer for sale that will do it for ya

if you get a transgo and servos you don't have to drop the tranny and you can go in through the valve body. so there is a do it yourself option out there too. for a lot less money, shop labor is expensive but worth it if you don't have the tech. skills or knowledge to do it. you will also need a pcm tune for the shift kit! go to zippy or revolution raceworks

did you upgrade to a 90mm throttle body?

nice find it is what i was planning on doing a write up on while i was doing my install. (after the foot heals a little more). i still might do one on the shift kit but this covers everything on the servos.

that is what i was thinking but the thing is i asked specificly for the paint additive because i know there is a lot of wind drag and stuff when you drive over a 100 and i didn't want any cracking so i bet that is what happened, i got charged for it but i didn't get it. didn't make it down there yet but i'm going to soon. thanks guys

good thing they are releasing a hydrogen powered moped for fuel economy out the ass, so i can keep my 15 mpg truck. i don't see people buying the corvette for big fuel economy. this just rubs me the wrong way. it's going to be wierd not hearing that deep exhaust lope i'm used to. looks like i'll be in the market for an 07 or 06. on the other hand i wonder if you will be able to get another 100 horses and 150 ftlbs of torque from just a tune and maybe exaust though like you can with the diesel trucks?

oh yeah my truck used to look like this before the magizine came out so i descided to change my grille and bumper.

no i'm not azfastestss he's got a sick truck, but i did have the paintjob and hood first. it's nice to see an ss getting noticed it just sucks to see one that looks exactly like yours ya know. i had an 02 sc/s-281 with the extreme 4.55 gears i loved that car, never thought i'd drive a ford. even thought it was faster than the truck (as of now) i still can't get rid of the truck.

well after i got my new bumper i had to get it installed and painted and i descided to go with them painting the vents and everything. so i get the quote they tell me 300 and it will only be there over night. so i know the owner and i figure its legit so i make the appt and drop it off. they don't touch it for 3 days, i get upset and go talk to them and they promise to have it done by the weekend. they finally get it put on and painted but i needed a 4 brackets that ended up costing 80 bucks. so i get the bill and it is 570 bones and it took 5 times longer than what they promised. being that the owner is a family friend and did all the work personally i paid the damn bill and kept my mouth shut. it has been two months and i go to detail the truck this weekend and there are spider cracks and chips all through out both top corners of the bumper, i'm pissed is there a nice way to go about this or should i take it back down there and unload my anger?

id love to get pulled over by that thing just to check it out lol

well turns out i shattered a bone in my foot so i can't put any pressure on it for at least a month ( ortho will re examine) then i have to get surgery to get the pieces that are floating around out. oh yeah i did it playing basketball (i must jump like a lebron) i landed on the side of my foot after grabbing a rebound. crazy huh. but i did get lots of good pain pills. but all i want to do now is stay away from work, play golf, and work on my tranny and i can't do any of them.

tylenol PM ha ha. my favorite game is to take a box of tylenol pm wash it down with a bottle of nyquil and see if you can beat off before you fall asleep. (from 40 year old virgin) nice work on showing the punk kids whats up will portraying a gentleman. sounded like you ran into a bunch of dumb asses.

sorry to rant because it is great feeling to beat someone who thinks they have a shot against you but i reccomend racing another v8 if you can stay ahead of a mustang with a v8 then its a good kill. but on the other hand a kill is a kill so who am i to say whats good.

how much for the zippy tune if we keep our pcm? or send you the stock one after we recieved the tuned PCM? i need one that will work with my shift kit.

well it is like a sheet of glass except it is made from oil product so it is high priced because oil is expensive. but it is supposed to be un breakable, you can cut it best with a table saw with a metal blade (small teeth). you can drill into it and screw into it without it breaking like plexiglass. it is bendable but with the thicker pieces sometimes it takes a low heat torch to help with the bend and the view will distort a little in the bended area. but if you are builing a box i suggest using 1/2" thick lexan. its an expensive but nice way to make a box. i got a discount on some scratched pieces at the shop i work at. the plus side is, you only need 4 or 5 sq feet to make a single sub box. screwing each piece together and sealing the corners with clear silicone is the only way to go in my opinion also you can use a circle drill for your wiring gromit. also reason for using at least 1/2" lexan. it is hard to drill the 1/4" or 3/8" without coming out the side. and you want your box to be rigid and being the lexan is flexable you need 1/2" because it is rigid enough to withstand the movement of a 12" sub.

5 1/4" in the front and i think it is 4 1/2" in the back doors or something close to that, they are smaller i believe

well now that i broke my foot , i guess i have to hold off on the work on my truck, i couldn't do anything a work today so i got a soft cast and i'm waiting for a call back from the orthopedic.
