  1. it happens dude no worries, good info though for sure
  2. you will most likely need shims if you go the full 2" drop in front and you may need extentions for your adjustments when your reallign the tires
  3. work in a glass shop doing pretty much anything with glass, plastic, or sheetmetal. going to continue on my mechanical engineering degree this fall! funny story: when we move larger pieces of glass we use suction cups as you probably have seen in movies (the punisher came to mind) well the way these work is you compress a cylinder by pumping a button that has a diameter of about 2" or so creating suction or a vacume that holds the glass to the cup. one day while on a ladder in a residential neighborhood i was installing some glass up on a ladder and there was a dog next door that was peeking up over the fence at me and barking like crazy so i secure the cup to the glass i am about to install and as soon as i get up on the ladder the cup malfuctioned and shot the cylinder out the side of the cup and nailed the dog right in the forehead!
  4. not to be rude but this is in the wrong section
  5. what's the thickness? it is just like an .030 covering wood or? that does look awesome i thought about trying that as well because i work with sheetmetal alot but thought it would rattle like crazy.
  6. i love the low end of my truck and all the functionability, i just miss the speed and the track times of my former cars. not to mention working on a manual tranny. i'm afraid if blowing a bunch of money on a cam and heads or FI and then my tranny takin a dump on me.
  7. i don't know if anyone else noticed in the video but the camaro in his garage looked a little pissed off it is not getting all the attention ha ha. what are the plans for it chase? congrats on the progress
  8. get a k&n oilfilter and make sure to buy a filter magnet. but these guys are right i use mobil one and don't have problems but the shaking is probably due to a misfire. so it is either ignition or injector troubles. good luck man
  9. so i took a weekend vacation and on my wat through a town about an hour north i'm sitting at a light and i notice that my truck is getting stared down by a white 2500 duramax that looks completely stock. he catches up to me and we catch a light after he revs and i hear a BOV i knew i might be in trouble so i stall up and hit it on green i get a hella good jump and get him by three lengths at least but as soon as i shift outta 2nd i hear this turbo wind up and he starts pulling hard on me and passes me at 100 or so like i have the cruise control set. he had some really nasty turbo lag so the hole shot sucked but when he built up some boost that upgraded turbo screamed. i got in a few words with him before a thumbs up and me having to turn off. he said he had an upgraded turbo system along with a tune some exaust an intercooler and some fuel system work. i was kinda disappointed at my truck. but as i got into town i got to race a new mustang gt from a roll at 25 and i stayed ahead until we had to slow down at about 70. there is a black on black 02 camaro ss in town with hardly any miles with center exaust and a little engine work done to it and i may be thinking about selling the truck again.
  10. you miss understood me. most tuning places ask about 150 for a new pcm and some people don't need a spare so they send theirs off and their truck is down for the shipping period. i just don't understand why your being one sided on the issue especially if you are trying to sell one as well. a pcm tune is not 100% the way to go for all people.
  11. wow i was suprised to beat an implala ss in my truck i bet that dude felt like an idiot
  12. yeah it is too bad they figured it out because you could have filled up a drum and sold it for like 3$ a gallon and someone would have gladly paid for it.
  13. i'm dumped right behind the muffler in front of the rear wheels. love it
  14. do ya have a air strip near by with a gas station at each end for when you actually drive the car? lol jk dude sounds like a lot of hp and alot of fun
  15. and i don't think buying a handheld is a dumber option they both have perks so it is up to the buyer to know what they are looking for.
  16. well i have not checked on this for a while didn't realize the arguement. my .02 is it is the handheld is a lot less hassle and you get good results with a handheld there are various problems that sometimes happen with a tuned pcm, i have seen many go back and have to be retuned. i would keep the handheld but i have to have a custom tune so... it is still availible for 235 shipped! hell of a price. thanks fellas and you don't have to buy a spare pcm or leave your truck not running for a week or so while you wait for your pcm to return.
  17. if i didn't just buy new lights i would hop on this, some jerk rearended the truck in a parkinglot and didn't leave a note or anything so im going with a rollpan soon.
  18. mine are black, once they come in i'm put in my smoked head and bumperlights too, i'm trying to even out the look of my grille
  19. send him my way. for the race ... and the spar afterwards lol
