Imagine this scenario:
1) You have a couple 'buddies' who steal the truck from a location you tell them you will be at.. maybe a place known to have car thefts
2) Those 'buddies' strip the truck, just enough to ensure the insurance company totals the truck out.. keeping those pieces at a safe location
3) Place the truck in a location that would be easily found, and recovered
4) Insurance company totals truck out, pays the outstanding loan off (including gap coverage if vehicle is upside down)
5) Insurance co. offers to let you buy truck back at a reduced price.. ie $8500
6) Buy truck back, and 'buddies' use parts stripped from truck and reassemble truck with those parts
BAM. You now have a paid off truck... you turned your upside down loan into a truck that you in a way 'refinanced' for $8500 .... and can sell for $20K or more now.
Sounds like some Mafia shit

Let me get this straight. You own a new 07 Escalade right? Why do you car anymore about this thing.. the truck is like Jenna Jameson now... its been torn up, used, abused, and totaled out... only someone like Tito Ortiz would hit it and drive it again.
Save your money and fix up that Escalade of yours and forget about the truck...

Im sure we would all 'rather' have a Z06, because its affordable and possible for most people. The guy who can afford a Gallardo will probably not buy a Z06 because its a Chevy, and a lot of people could buy one. The owners of Lambo's buy a Lambo for certain reasons... because its a status thing. I am sure if a lot of people on this board had the money for either car they wouldnt buy the Z06... i dont care what they say, they wouldnt buy a Chevy just because it 'peforms' good and its cheaper. They would buy the real deal... like any wealthy car lover would. To say you would rather have the Z06 is because its actually a possibility for a lot of people here, whereas I doubt a Lambo is...
I am sure there will be a response saying 'punkt i would rather have a Z06 because of the performance per dollar, etc etc etc supercar for $70k' whatever.. but thats just furthur proving the point I just made in my above paragraph.

Oh yah and that new Lamborghini is cool.. but for 1.4million I would rather have the Bugatti also... 1,001HP.. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds... W16 engine. Or a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo (1000hp+)
As far as a Z06 vs a Gallardo... not only is the Gallardo a head turner and it looks 10x better than the Chevy, but it has AWD and sounds much... much better. Especially when you put an exhaust on it. My neighbor owns a Gallardo Spyder and is the GM at Orange County Lamborghini and he has an exhaust on it thats made by them... it sounds BADASS when he rolls by the house... heres a video of the exhaust (not his car, his is highlighter green-ish..pretty sick)

I rewatched the Hamill/Bisping fight last night... and it made me SICK to see that Bisping won. The 1st and 2nd rounds were definetely Hamils.. even in the 3rd round Mike Goldberg even commented Bisping was looking better and 'is actually scoring points now' because he was improving. I would say the 3rd round could have POSSIBLY gone to Bisping... but Hamil had 2 maybe 3 takedowns in the 3rd round and kept top position for a while ... complete bullshit... the winner was decided before any of them threw any punches. Screw Bisping for his comments afterwards... talking so much crap.. saying he 'outboxed' Hamil.. what???? That guy was running away from him the whole fight! He looked scared and intimidated
Well I am done venting.. I just didnt think the UFC would start going the way of the WWE with this scripted winner BS.. what next.. story lines??

I think its going to be a long time before Cro Cop fights in the UFC again... and he will because he signed up for i think 1 or 2 more fights in his contract.. unless they just void it and pay him anyways without fighting. Cro Cop doesnt look like he wants to fight anymore.. look at the way he came out for the Kongo fight.. his head looking down a lot, his body language wasnt the same as the previous UFC/Pride/K1 fights it looked like he had already thrown in the towell before he even stepped in the cage. He will be back.. but who knows when.
As for Fedor... Randy wouldnt have a chance.

Does anyone know if it supports direct push email... ie ActiveSync/Exchange server syncronization? I need that for my mobile Outlook email/calendar/contacts.. Sucks its on the AT&T network!

That was a really good UFC last night... Hamil had my pick before, and during the fight.. Bisping got the fight because its his home town or someone hates disabled people.. pretty sad. The look on Matt's face after the fight made me feel bad for the guy... that was complete bullshit.
As for the Congo/Cro Cop fight... my pick was Cro Cop because I was assuming the guy would come back as a machine avenging his loss and destroy anything in his path. Going off of Cheick Kongo's previous display against Assurio Silva showed his needed to work his ground game and was definetely not as good of a striker as Cro Cop. Common sense would have picked Cro Cop as the winner in this fight, but a lucky guess would have chose Cheick based off of Pre-UFC dominance in K1 and Pride for Cro Cop and the amateur fighting Cheick displayed. I was wrong, because Cro Cop didnt look like he trained any harder, he looked morally conservative and nervous, and Chiek looked like he trained his ass off since his last fight. Good job.
I think the man to look for in the future is Houston Alexander. I mentioned a few weeks ago on another post that this guy should be the one fighting Lidell instead of the 'Dean of Mean' Keith Jardine because he got his ass handed to him by Alexander in 45 seconds. This Alexander guy is a monster.. he looks pissed when he fights and I think he would destroy Chuck Lidell. Jardine will give Chuck a hard time, but Chuck will dominate him... give Alexander Lidell and you it will look like someone unleashed a gang load of Pit Bulls on a 3 year old kid.. he will rip Lidells mohawk right off of his cranium.

Yeah I have been using that ICE stuff- got a huge bottle of it from Costco and have been very impressed with it as well.
But good points on the soap drying thing... now that I think of it I wouldnt want one.. the sun on a black car would dry it up QUICK .. I would still need to use a bucket of soap .. so whats the real point (other than it looking cool and being slightly fun)

Only time someone ever spit on my vehicle was when I was 17 years old, just bought a brand new '97 Honda Civic...
My brothers friend (a little prick) decided he was going to park his 70's style Civic hatchback in MY spot in the driveway, so when I came home I got in his car, put it in neutral and rolled it into the middle of the street and put my new Civic (haha) in my spot in the driveway.
He walked out and saw what I did and proceeded to spit a huge ass loog onto my back window.
Keep in mind I had the flu, and was pretty sick at this time and I still ran up to him, tackled his sorry ass and beat him down with a skateboard until my brother stopped me... I am pretty sure he had a hard time breathing through his broken nose after that

Yeah if the iPhone didnt marry you to a crappy network I would have one. Its too bad Verizon passed on the iPhone deal, because such a nice phone should be on a good network. Apple should quit being a bunch of jewish carpenters and make a CDMA version for Verizon people.. its just Verizon didnt want to let them have such a huge profit margin because they wanted way more $$ than any other cell phone manufacturer per sale. Either way, Verizon screwed up and now I cant get an iPhone because I have a 2yr contract, and everyone I know has Verizon so I get free mobile to mobile with them. I will stick with my Treo 700wx because it works so well with my Exchange 2007 server using activesync and direct push (pretty much like a Blackberry)

Actually wouldn't need to reshoot the clear... if you do it right you can buff it back to perfect, but that takes a rotary... I'm contemplating taking that next leap and getting a rotary buffer... then I can literally correct any surface problem. I just need to get the nerve up to buy one and try it, theres such a small margin for error working with one, if you **** up you are REALLY ****ed... as in repainting a car b/c you buffed right thru the paint.... I also think I'm gonna invest in a paint ultrasound depth meter... not a good idea to go sanding down your finish unless you're sure you've got enough clear left to sand without hitting pigment.
Yeah, my brother in law was a painter for a long time and we were talking about wetsanding my SRT8 because the orange peel looks like yours. He said wetsanding a factory paintjob is VERY risky because the clearcoat is so thin, its easy to go through the clear to the actual paint. Most times they just assume that you will need to shoot another clear after wet sanding because even if you dont go through the factory clear, it will be so thin afterwards that it will eventually wear off or not protect the paint much after that.
Back to the foam brush thing... I WANT ONE. The guy should sell on eBay, if he did it would already be sold.

Dylan- Have you ever though about wetsanding your TBSS to get rid of the orange peel? You would probably need to reshoot the clear coat afterwards .. but it would look like a mirror !!

Damn I have driven one of those and it felt almost as fast as my SS (when it had the Radix) that guy must have really not known how to shift, or he was shifting at 2500 rpms... good run and kill man ! A win is a win

some updates.. i have been leaning tward the evo i found a white 06 for 27k at a local mitsu place.. im for sure upgrading the turbo and cat back exhaust bov intake cam i will be shootin for 400 hp try to catch up to my friends 410 hp evo. good part about it my buddy has all these parts for an evo in his garage that he has replaced with better parts or different ones so i got the hook up on all the bolt on's rich friends are very helpful
Never heard of a 'rich' Evo owner, but hey you never know! I only see 16-20yr old kids driving those things around town.
Good luck with it man, those things are very fast and probably really fun to drive .. That motor is like the Supra TTs baby brother.. it will handle major boost/power without ever taking off the valve cover.

Worst thing I ever did was buy a house.
Besides my car, and the fact I still have the SS, my new hobby is blowing $$ on the house... just spent $10K this past month on furniture, new tv's, garage stuff, etc etc etc ... thats my new hobby for now. lol

Not to mention the AWD of the Gallardo would launch like a maniac compared to the wheelspin of the Z06. Performance is not the only thing I look for in a sports car.. but also the look. The Gallardo makes the Z06 look like a fisher price toy
