  1. Hey guys im not around too often with the switch from the SSS to the vette, but i thought Id pass along a good spot for future meets or even just a stop spot before you head out to San Clemente.

Just so you guys know there is another cruise spot down in Dana Point which is pretty popular with exotics, supercars, old muscle cars, and just car enthusiasts.

    Beer and Food is CHEAP.

  2. Some interesting photos snapped by a guy named Troy Pavia, proprietor of the Lost America Website. The Flickr account is below and here are some of the pictures hes done just as a sample or a reason to go look at the other old cars he snapped of the old Pearson Junkyard

I assume most of you photo junkies would appreciate this stuff. His flickr account gives you an idea of exposure time and lighting used to make the effects.

  3. That is nice. Its started, so finish it, and murder that bitch out...

Black wheels are next on the list, preferably a pair of black Z06 wheels

Its hard choosing between some simple bolt ons and appearance mods...

The need to go faster is ummmmm, how do i put this....addicting....

Thanks for all the compliments guys....

  4. yeah i saw it i should have took a closer look tho man thats nice. I was just drollin over the supercharger too much.

    HAHA Thanks Jason!!!

Let me know how that radix works out. Its a ton of fun

The Vette is an AT with the "Sport" mode paddle shifters...I couldn't find a 6SPD black on black that was remotely close to the miles or out the door price they gave me on this one.

  5. So I sold the truck over the weekend and went a different route with my choice of vehicles. I also let the SC go to another forum member here (wpoc69), looks like he got infected with the mod bug we all have in various degrees of severity. The truck I sold to a lucky guy, I dont know if he will be on the forums here but I did let him know the quality of information this site offers.

I bought an 06 LT3 Corvette (Black on Black of course  ). Tinted windows to 5% and tinted tails. Rides nice and only has 22K on the clock. Got 34K (including TTL), dealer had it on the lot over 3 months and couldnt sell it due to the tails and tinted windows being so dark....

Ive looked for other forums with a similar design and format to the SSS.com forum, and I can say that this is one of the BEST forums I have ever been on. I wont be leaving SSS.com as long as you guys will still have me here. Good job by Mervz and Josh, and all the mods on here that has kept this as one of the most organized forums on the net.

    Pics coming soon!!!

  6. Hey guys,

I am coming to you because this forum is probably one of the most interesting and informative sites for Silverado SS enthusiasts. We also sometimes even cater to the other "lesser" :jester: models....I just finished purchasing a new low mileage 06 Corvette. I am now looking for a new forum that will be as informative as this one.

Any one have some good options that I can lurk???

I sold the supercharger on the truck this week to a member here wpoc69 and it looks like I will have the truck sold also in the next coming week. So this may be my last few posts. I want to thank everyone here from blownchevy, krambo, dcairns, to Mr. P and his left hand, and everyone else that I have ever pmed for information and they have been so kind to return the favor.

Thanks to all the members her at SilveradoSS.com

  7. Hey guys,

As some of you may know I was looking for a buyer for my MP112 Radix.

wpoc69, kept to his word and purchased the SC with a full payment. No haggle, no issues, no problems. I reccomend anyone who is looking to buy or sell parts wpoc69 is a good guy.

Jason hope you like the new system!

  8. For the guys who occasionlly have a run in with the other truck guys i was wondering how you initiate your races?,is it a rev at a light,a dirty stare or do you flip on your running lights(reverse lights) like guys used to do years ago while driving down the strip looking for competition? does anybody even do this for that matter?.

Normally it is a rev at a light. Or if their window is open let them know you want to have a go at it...

Then again most cars i catch are running through traffic like a bat out of hell, catch up to them, look over, give them a rev, and be safe....

    Same thing on the highway

  9. Well I figured it out, and if anyone has had their parking brake take a crap on you...then you know how i felt and this should be something you should read if it hasnt....

Fortunately i was 2 miles away from where i live, and i did drive the truck home, and now the entire truck smells like roasted rear brake pads....Oh well....Hopefully that wont cause any problems, and if it will please comment and let me know

I do have pictures to share with those who may have this happen to them....

I have never been more mad at not having a flashlight and a pair of needle nose pliers ever in my life, so if you dont have a those items, i suggest carrying them along with a ratchet set, flat and philips head screw drivers, and a wrench...

So here are the pictures of where the MANUAL BRAKE RELEASE IS

First picture is far away...basically it is a shot of the parking brake engaged and the parking brake mechanism...I have circled the manual release....please note this isnt visible without the parking brake engaged...

    Here is a closer look

    post-8207-1211089804_thumb.jpg

Here is as close as i can get with my camera...

    post-8207-1211089812_thumb.jpg

Be careful when pulling with the needle nose pliers, because the parking brake is released real quick...Check to make sure the brake is completely release by turning the truck on, and see if the brake light shows...if not youre free to drive...

I dont know if the MODS can put this in another forum for small repairs, but stuff like this would help alot of people

  10. Heys guys,

Heres the story...Trucks parking break is stuck to the floor...went to pull the parking break release....drive wire broke....Wire pulled out and was about 2 ft long...

Now is there a way to manually release the parking break without the wire...

Please let me know asap by PM...or you can post an answer here....any help is appreciated...

    Thanks

    Owen

  11. Well I've been overreading and since your separating the rims and tires, how much would you sell those sss rims for? Iam also in SoCal...

I think he wants $900 for the set of rims....

Blown I pmed you back, and you arent the same Brian that works at JPA Automotive in Chatsworth right? I get lost on which one of you still works for MagnaCharger
