  1. Not that I know of, it certainly isn't too big for it though if you have a 6.0L.

Zippy, I just installed my 111.5" belt on a 3.0 pulley. And it was tighter and harder to fit than a..., well you fill in the blank. Is there anything wrong with going 112.0" on a 3.0 pulley?

  2. SocalSS, the belt you are using, what is the exact part number for it? the number you listed above is missing a number. if you are using a 111.5" belt, it might be too short for a 3.0 pulley. i run a 111.5 with my 2.8 pulley and its tight as all hell. also, use a breaker bar and a 15mm socket on the tensioner pulley bolt, pry down on it and have someone else slip the belt on.

Ok guys, So ill get pics I promise in about 30 minutes of the pulley destruction, but the thing is I was doing this all wrong. And I suggest a belt that is 112.0" rather than the 111.5 size belt Zippy suggests. And thats for one simple reason, the 111.5 on a 3.0 pulley is hard, and i mean HARD as hell to put on. Maybe ZIppy has some tricks, but my buddy and I had the tensioner completely compressed and still had to use a screw driver to barely get over the last pulley

You will need a breaker bar like another member suggests, or just a 3/4 x 18" pipe from home depot and a socket wrench will do the trick. I finally f-ing did it and I hope I dont have to do it ever again, well until I get a smaller pulley (2.8 maybe)

Thanks to those who responded. I guess I was just frustrated at not being able to get the darn thing on there.

All in all it cost me about $100 (2 belts @ $35 (1 being a spare) and the pulley @ $20), and all the man hours, let alone Autozone workers are F-ing usless and know nothing. A) They didnt know what a breaker bar was, or even have them in stock B) they argues with me about my belt size even with the P/N i gave them and that my truck wasnt supercharged because Silverado SS dont come that way from the factory...I had to pimp slap the worker to get him to understand the truck wasnt stock

  3. The belt doesn't fit even if you use a breaker bar to pull the tensioner over? Not sure what to say because I have a the stock radix pully and there was a lot of room for the belt when I used the breaker bar.

I havent tried a breaker bar...I was trying to use a simple ratchet...Ill see if this will work...Ill post some pictures of the pulley when and if I get this belt on

  4. I htink you may need to adjust the other pullies.. I think I had a 112" belt because the 111.5" wouldnt fit... im not sure?

Im thinking the idler pullies are completely adjacent to each other. I mean Brian at JPA had to do it, but he hasnt responded to my pm. Man this sucks. I gotta take a picture of this tensioner pulley I removed...Its destroyed

Im thinking there has to be away to de-tensionize (dont even know if thats a word) the tensioner, but the internet has been no help...

  5. ok guys ive NEVER seen one of these before. Is it truly an SS? The seller calls it a T3 SS.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-S...sspagenameZWDVW

and how can I change this link to "2002 SS" and it still take you to this page. Ive seen people do it but i never could figure out how?

Didnt even know DEI came out with a 2002 model, I know Gordon came out with one for the Monte Carlo, somewhere in the range of 2,000 units.

In regards to the linking part of your post, you would click the "Insert Link" button at the top to the right of the smilies. Then copy and paste the link you want to add to the thread, click ok, then it will ask you what you want to title the link...Put 2002 SS and youre done

  6. Hey guys.

The lip of my belt tensioner pulley partially broke off and the belt went with it. So I have a new belt (P/N Gatorback 4061115 111.5" (edit) for the 3.0 pulley I have on right now.

Unfortunately I am having a hard time getting this belt on. I have the routing sticker but im stuck as to why this belt wont go on easily. Any suggestions or links to other websites would be appreciated.

    Thanks Guys!

  7. Water doesn't quell the flames, rather spreads them to "taint" and "dot", as well as screaming down the sensitive portions of your inner thigh.

I found this out while laying wood flooring two summers ago and needed a hefty application to get rid of the "static cling". Nice palm-full later and I was dancing around and screaming like a deranged cursing marionette. Water spreads it to the places named above... jump into the shower with clothes still on, throwing body wash soap onto the "neighborhood" to finally help Smoky Bear put out the forest fire. Good thing I had my closest friends over to help me out that day.

Wow, all I can say is wow! Definetly a picture that may be burned into my memory. Thanks bnoon

  8. How about $18,00+ worth of damage last Dec (2006) to the truck. Hit an electrical box taking a on ramp at 100+ mph. Trucks back end fish tailed out a little caught the dirt on the side of the on ramp. Then I hit the electrical box right behind the end of the cab on the driver side. Electrical box was in mini pieces and all over the freeway.

Drive shaft was tore from the rear and sitting on the free way still connected to the front diff, the rear had to be replaced due to it being bent, rear left tire looked like a metal and rubber mess...Slight frame damage, Both taillights destroyed, let alone the bed and tonneau cover had to be replaced, plus I was without the truck for 10 weeks.

Let alone that stupid electrical box was $6,500 to replace. Total Damage caused was in the realm of 25,000, more then the truck was worth at the time. But 80% less (18k) what the truck was worth, which is why the insurance company repaired it.

I keep asking my insurance agency why they raised my rates...They just shake their head and laugh... :nonod::lol:

  9. YTMND, an acronym for "You're The Man Now, Dog!", is a website community that centers around the creation of YTMNDs, which are pages featuring a juxtaposition of a single image, optionally animated or tiled, along with large zooming text and a looping sound file. YTMND is also the general term used to describe any such site.

  10. From the Impreza Forum...

    "when I apply...

    heh, don't picture this!

I lay on my back, get all spread eagle style, and spray, pour, shake, whatever, the powder there....then gently pat into place"

Thank god I live in Southern California where humidity is a word not mentioned in this state often let alone about someone sack

  11. if not it may be time to see the toy shop

The Toy Shop is a great place. I have had no complaints on their tranny, and it has held up to the new radix, and felt great even with a minor mail order tune before the radix. I highly advise you take a trip to Pomona and get a shift kit put in. I took Dylan and Chase's advice and can't be happier with their words of wisdom

  12. Yes, these are the 4 electrode plugs and they are gapless. Not too familiar with plugs but apparently they are gapped at the factory?? I'm trusting the guy at autozone gave me the right plugs. I watched him look up my engine and made sure he had the 6.0. As far as the install goes, it took me a while because i took my time. got all the wires back on firmly and double checked everything before i put the engine covers back on. i drove the truck all day yesterday and i didnt hear any more clicking. it seems to be running fine and even a little cleaner, certainly no worse than before i put them in. i checked it again this morning and i cant hear/see anything abnormal.

FYI the clicking i heard was at start-up only and not constant. similiar to an exhaust click so im guessing thats what it was. no engine mods besides the new plugs. i finally got my volant intake and that will be going in after the truck goes to the dealer on tuesday to take care of an EVAP problem. if theres one thing i cant stand, its staring at a service engine light while i drive

I had the same issue, but not after the install of new plugs. It could normally be a few things. Oil starved lifter or rocker. Exhaust Manifold Leak, check for black deposits around your manifold.

You can check my post in Forced Induction about the ticking/clicking issue.

  13. Im sitting at 44K and I can tell the difference in handling at say 80 on a sharp on-ramp to the freeway, the back tires will get squirrely, but then again these are BFG, so that may be the reason...Good amount of tread left, probably another 10K worth left...

  14. Interesting, I was watching Trucks last weekend and they turned a stock Ford 150 into a Roushe 150 with supercharger from Roushe and the ground effects kit onto the truck similar to their Stage Three model. Truck went 0-60 in 7 seconds...My buddy who is hardcore Ford guy, even admitted that Roushe trucks are a joke and he was kind of depressed after taking a ride in my supercharged SS...Ford is still a Ford anyway you slice the bread...Minus the Lightning there is really nothing Ford has made that has been an eye opener to the market of trucks or cars in the past decade...

450hp/500tq sound like a PIG if it can only get to 6.5 in the 0-60...

  15. the line up is just nutz but mostly Wu tang and rage, although there are many others that should be great

Fox Forma, you have to download some immortal technique and Living Legends...specifically "Living Legends - Angels With Dirty Faces" and "Living Legends - Night Prowler"...also "Immortal Technique - Dance with the Devil" and a few others I cant think of...Have fun man and make it worth while...Hopefully you bring plenty of water...Wu Tang and Rage are both classics and will put on a dynamite of a show...Bring your camera, we expect pictures that are NSFW

My buddy and I are thinking about going Sunday to Coors Ampitheatre in San Diego...Closer and cooler...

  16. The great thing about those commercials some of you may not know. The truck is pulling 5,000lbs and the truck itself weighs 5,500+ so thats where they get their 10,000lbs towing capacity BS. Some chevy dealers in the midwest have started an ad campaign about how Toyota is full of BS...Ill have to find some youtube videos or the articles on Jalopnik.com Here is the article...Interesting read: Toyota Tundra and the myth of 10,000lb Commercial

Plus Toyota just got a 4-star rating on Front -End Crash Test...Where as Chevy, Dodge and Ford all had 5 stars...Maybe thats why Toyota is giving huge cashback bonuses to hide their black-eye

According to the Detriot News, Toyota is looking into a "voluntary" recall for all 5.7 V8s because of the camshaft issue and a few other various engine "issues." Talk about a HUGE voluntary recall

  17. Wish I could go with Immortal Technique, Eligh & Grouch, Murs, Living Legends, Sage, Nas, and Rage playing...Heck I didnt even know they were playing this Saturday at Glen Helen, then again standing in 107+ heat isnt going to float my boat...Im about 1.5-2 hours away with traffic from there

Have fun man...any favorite artists youre looking forward to see
