  1. Yo dude do you happen to work for a company by the name of Data Aire Inc? In the city of Orange. I know it's an off the wall question, but there is a funny story behind it. Ha

    -Rob

Nope, I work for a company called Teco Diagnostic...Might as well hear the story...Free bump for Me!!!

No prob Bonj, good luck with the basement...Youll get a good deal on a TV either way...LCDs are coming down in price...

Thanks to all those who commented saying its a good TV...

  2. Bonj,

Id hold it for you but it depends on how long. My roomate wants to buy it. But hes a cheap SOB...So If its like a month I can do that, otherwise Im sure the price will drop soon, and I just dont want to get caught with my hands in my pants and lose money.

Let me know if you really want the TV and Im sure we can work something out.

  3. Hey guys,

So I have a brand new in box VIZIO 32" HDTV (VX32L) up for sale. Never opened.

    Why am I selling it?

I got this at my Holiday Christmas Party today, and I already have 2 LCD HDTV's. Basically I have no need for another one.

If anyone is interested feel free to PM me or respond to this post, and If any of you SoCal guys are looking for a TV for Christmas let me know, Id be willing to deliver it over the weekend.

Ill let it walk for $600.00 (Not including shipping). If you need pictures of the actual box and all I can take them if needed or requested. I wanted to give the fellow SSers a decent deal on a brand new TV before I post this on EBAY.

Also, if you question my credibility you can contact punkt71, as I bought a Radix off him, and paid him in full. Ive also dealt with DCairns on an exhaust swap.

    Specifications can be found here:

    Merry Christmas Guys and Gals!

  4. Brobradh77 If you have autozone around you the P/N for Autozone is 305222.

Otherwise the Dayco P/N is 89222, but that didnt reference at Autozone when I broke mine. And if all else fails tell them to check for a belt tensioner off of a '97 Ford F150 with the 6 cyl which is the same exact tensioner.

Definitely keep a spare tensioner and belt with a breaker bar like Krambo said...Its been a life saver for me with that advice

  5. forcing lenders to make sure that subprime borrowers set aside money to pay for taxes and insurance.

Shouldnt People who purchase a home realize they need to pay taxes, home owners insurance, HOA dues (if applicable) and other home related costs? Thats like the government coming down on automakers because they didnt tell the person they need to insure their car, fill it up with gas, or common maintenance that comes along with buying a car?

barring lenders from making loans when they don't have proof of a borrower's income.

Well this is A) The lenders mistake. High risk "subprime" borrowers who have a HISTORY of unable to make payments on things like credit cards, auto and school loans have no business buying a house in the first place, because odds are they havent had the income to make smaller payments so what reason would they have to make payments on a large loan like a home. B) I place blame on both the borrower and the lender for their generalized stupidity and incapability of understanding the simple principle of interest or making a payment ontime. The Lender should be penalized or closed down for lending hundreds of thousands of dollars to borrowers who show a history of the incapabilities described above.

prohibiting lenders from engaging in a pattern or practice of lending without considering a borrower's ability to repay a home loan from sources other than the home's value.

    See comments above

Maybe Im not the emphatetic to the borrowers who found themselves buying a home without the capable funds to support themselves. While alot of blame goes to the Lenders, many subprime borrowers doctor their income or bank statements just to pass. I worked in the lending business for over 3 years during college, and found that while there were shady Loan Consultants who would help customers doctor their income or finances, there were the same number of potential borrowers who were well aware of the types of loans they were getting into.

For anyone 3-5 years ago who purchased a home (usually Interest Only ARMS) and didnt think the rate would be much higher when their loan became adjustable are simply fooling themselves. Many of the customers that I did loans for were well aware of the consequences and downfalls of interest only mortgages. Yet, they seemed to brush it off as they figured they would "deal" with the consequences when the time came.

Maybe Im insensitive to those who continue to make the same financial mistakes that lead them to their poor credit score. I just find it hard to believe that there is a substantial number of borrowers who were fooled into taking a bad mortgage. These customers are provided with a large package of documents describing the loan and its terms before the loan ever goes through.

    Sorry for the

  6. Usually they use the blood test how well your liver, heart, and kidneys are functioning through various chemistry tests. They also test your blood for traces of chemicals commonly found in tobacco, along with serious drugs. My life insurance company took a blood sample and found out I smoked even though I told the women rarely. This is normally how they determine your monthly payments, along with other variables such as height and weight.

  7. Turbocoop - please post some pics if you have some available - I have an idea of what youre talking about but don't want to get stuck half done or mess anything up. Thanks

:withstupid: Good chance to start a How To post for this.

  8. 05 - 06s were low 13 sec cars from the showroom floor, a good tune though and im sure you could probably pull high 12s....

I almost traded in the truck this weekend for one, but didnt want to go through the hassle of removing the supercharger and replacing the stock intake, and then having to sell the supercharger... I figure if I just spend more money on mods i'll be as quick as most GTOs and corvettes on the road...and that will make me happy...

Plus I can carry 5 people comfortably and tow when needed...

  9. I wouldn't go down to the 2.9 pulley given you will need to re-tune let alone probably need larger injectors for your setup.

Do you have any tranny mods? This would significantly improve not only the life of the tranny but shave of a few tenths with an added quality TC.

Most guys on here running a radix with a 2.9, long tube headers, full exhaust, TC, shift kit and good tune are seeing mid to high 12s. Thats pretty good for a 5,800 piece of metal.

    What are your goals?

BTW this is in the wrong section.

  10. Did it look like the truck below? If so it a Lincoln Blackwood.

    rearshot.jpg

    frontshot.jpg

    0 - 60 in about 8 - 8.5s according to most websites

Or it could have been a Lincoln Mark LT

    2007markLT3.jpg

    0 - 60 of 7.5 - 8.5 from various sources

Both trucks brand new were about 40 - 50K = waste of money for a truck with just barely 300 HP/ 365 HP for a new Mark LT
