  1. That's kind of the way i saw it. But, i'm guessing that in the right hands it could be worth having, or maybe Diablo can send you custom tunes to download. Hell, i don't know. I don't care to know because i don't have time to mess with it. Thanks for the input though. Hopefully someone wants it. The price is right and i'd like to pay for some of my custom tune.
  2. Anybody have anything to say about these tuners....good, bad or ugly. I don't have to sell it, but then again, i don't see the point of keeping it around if i don't use it. Anyone have one and like it ?
  3. This programmer came installed on my 04 when i bought it. I haven't even accessed it yet after almost a year. I don't have the time or the desire to mess with it. I'm getting a pcm tune as this is more convenient for me. If you are interested, let me know. Or if you'd like to give me some advice on it to make it worth keeping, that'd be great. But i'd rather sell it. Thanks, Mike
  4. Anyone have a side profile pic with the rollpan? Looks great from the back. Thanks
  5. Sold my '03 with high miles cuz i was afraid of mechanical issues without remaining warranty. Couldn't stay away so i bought the exact same black in an '04 with a lot lower miles and a warranty. That's just me. I like to have a little peace of mind. In the end, if everything checks out on the truck and it's all legit, you'll probably be hard pressed to find anyone on this site to say NO...Don't Do IT! On the other hand, if you decide to take the plunge, just make sure you have a little coin socked away in case something major happens after it hits your driveway. You'll enjoy the truck a lot more if you're not worrying all of the time about how you'll pay for repairs or what you'll do with a truck that isn't running. Hope it works out for ya.
  6. Sounds good now, but you'd probably feel a little silly in a few years.
  7. I've got these on my SS and love them. It's a good buy. Shouldn't be a problem selling them.
  8. Again, my predator came with the pickup when i bought it. Dont know a thing about it. With that said, i haven't done much research with it either. I hate to just scrap it without giving it a chance, but the mail order i got from Bryan on a previous truck was pretty good and easy as can be to put in. Am i understanding right that i should be able to dyno my SS and coordinate with predator to get some custom tunes? That would be nice as i really havent modded at all yet but would like to eventually. I just like to keep things relatively simple. Don't have a lot of time to spend doing my own work and if what i hear about getting more HP from a mail order custom from Wheatley for example will be easy as well.......it seems like a good move. Any more input. Its good to hear the opinions.
  9. Bought my SS about 8 months ago with the tuner as part of the deal. I've never messed with the custom tune that is on it, nor do i feel want to/or feel comfortable doing it. I just want to sell it. No REASONABLE offer refused. Mike
  10. I've got a predator for a 2004. Not sure if it is ok to use on a 2003. I would assume so, but you may want to know for sure. Let me know if interested and what you're looking to give for it. Mike
  11. kind of what i was thinking just based on my limited experience so far. I appreciate the input. I'll have to check with wheatley and maybe check a few others out. Thanks again. BTW, have you tried pcmforless just for comparison vs. wheatley?
  12. I have had a pcmforless tune in the past and really liked it. I recently bought an SS with a predator tuner and custom sport tune in place. It seems ok, but have a feeling the pcmforless was better. I don't think i'm to interested in messing with the predator mainly because i don't trust my knowledge, or lack thereof. I'd appreciate any opinions on this issue. Maybe it's worth giving the predator a chance. At present, i'm ready to sell the predator and go back to the mail order tune. Probably give brian a call eventually, just want to hear other stories. Thanks.
  13. Local car stereo dealer says this will not fit in an SS without cutting up the dash. I get a different picture from some of the posts on this site. I want a good unit but honestly don't know if i need touch screen. I'm not going to watch a movie on it and neither is the passenger. The kids have good eyesight, but they're not going to watch from the back seat. So, touch screen probably not necessary. Still want mp3, wav, a/v outs, and so on and so forth and all that stuff, but maybe unit without screen. Thanks for any input.
  14. I agree with you. I really like the stock, but decided it was a different look i was after so i ordered the 026. Probably go with a 2/2 drop at first to see how it goes based on some info from some great people on this site. Thanks to all for all of the input. It really has helped alot.
  15. What's it gonna take in terms of lowering it. I have that idea in mind, i guess i just need to research it a little and make sure i don't overdo it. That's the only problem i see with the AE 026 wheel. Because of the offset, it won't tuck under the wheel well and there is only one offset in the 22'' wheel from what i understand from my supplier.
  16. I like that. The hell with 20's. I do think i'm leaning toward the AE 026. Lowered just a bit gives the black SS a bad ass look.
  17. Yeah, i'd like to see a few more pics. mayby a pic or two looking straight down the side if you have 'em. I'm about a day from getting either the replicas or getting the AE 026. Two different types , but i like them both. kelleyperformance sent me some kickass pics of his with AE's. Pretty much sold me, but life wouldn't be any fun without difficult decisions. THanks again.
  18. Thanks for the pics. They look great. I'm looking for something with an SS emblem on them, though. Good luck with the sale. The price is right. Shouldn't be a problem. Mike
  19. You say there are a few posts on this site? I'll have to look a little harder. I like the spank 6 or Momo's, but it a big plunge to take without specific pics of what it would look like. Thanks for the input. Mike
  20. This is for '04 Silverado SS. It would be nice to see some pics of an SS with these on it, but i've been searching everywhere and haven't found anything.
  21. I'm wondering about any rub with these because they are a 10" rim. Not sure of the offset either, but assuming they'll work. Won't consider buying until i know. I like the chrome 20's, just want a little bigger with the mindset of lowering the truck just a little later. I'd appreciate any input any of you might have. Mike BTW, i understand that 305/40r22 is the tire size needed so i don't have to have the speedometer adjusted.
  22. I want to put some 22" replicas on but not sure how it'll look going a little bigger. Also, they are a little deeper and not sure of the offset. Anyone have any experience with this? or know anyone with a set for sale? Thanks. Mike
