  1. Looks nice. Ive been trying to figure out a way to getter better gas mileage on my SS. Just wonder how ell the clutch will hold with that heavy of a vehicle. Any idea what the stock weight of a SSR is? And with a T56 what its rated to tow? Do you happen to know how long the SSR T56 is? Just wondering if there is enough room that it could work with a AWD since a T56 is longer than a 4L60E.
  2. Your never going to get ride of it for $30,000 and with 75,000 miles. Should look around at similar SSS and see what they are going for.
  3. Located outside Chicago, IL. Sorry forgot to post location.
  4. Nope but I am negotiable on the price. Bone stock it ran a 15.00 at 88 mph. Havent raced it since I put the intake and exhaust on it. I assume its a little faster since the stock exhaust weighed a ton.
  5. 2003 Silverado SS AWD $23,000 Victory Red Vin number 2GCEK19N531299028 31,632 miles 345 HP 380 TQ 6.0 liter engine 6 disc in-dash changer with Bose system Built in XM radio Leather interior with SS embroidered headrests Dual heated/power front seats Dual zone climate controls 20" Allow wheels Factory tow package with trans cooler and 8,100 pound towing capacity Additonal equipment: Upgraded to Michelin LTX M/S Tires Viper 575XV remote start with alarm Corsa Performance Sport Exhaust K&N Cold Air intake(also have stock airbox) NGK TR5 plugs and MSD Wires GM bolt in bed liner Fold-A-Cover bed cover(not currently pictured) with locks 160 degree thermostat(not installed) Bumper to Bumper Extended Warranty good till Dec 2010 or 84,000 miles I run only BP 93 octane in this truck and it gets on average 13 to 13.5 MPG in the city and 16 to 17 mpg on the highway. Only run Mobil One 5W30 in it which has been changed every 3000 miles by myself. Its been a great truck I just need to get into something that gets better gas mileage since ive started driving so much. Truck ran 15.0X at 88 MPH stock. Havent taken it back since any of the upgrades. Any questions please PM me if you are interested in it PM me your phone number and I will call you. I am not interested in ANY trades just selling the vehicle. So don't waste your or my time asking.
  6. assuming it was a 5.3 sub mid 15's is pretty good. as far as telling them to keep it.. if he bought it new then he paid good money for it, so that just seems to me. i wouldn't just drop a $3k investment like that, but maybe he's loaded and don't give a $% thanks for the info. Powerdyne kits are a waste of money even if they were $1000 they still are a waste of your money. I have seen the kits on a dyno in person. Just an example of one car I saw was a LT1 fbody automatic with a cam, headers, tune, and powerdyne. The car made 350 rwhp and 350rwtq which is a joke since you can make pretty much that power with just a cam, headers, and a tune. The entire dyno pull the car was pegging the IAT sensor even when you let the car cool down for an hour between pulls.
  7. Powerdyne kits are junk they are some of the most inefficent blowers out there. Ive seen a few IATS in the 240+ range. Better to spend money on a proven kit like a ATI or Magnuson.
  8. Yea I got the fast car too 98 Z28 H/C built motor runs 10.80s. Best of both worlds. Except how much I spend on gas.
  9. Why? They are both trucks the Z71 will just have better ground clearance and a better suited suspension. Anyways I like my SS emblems and headrests.
  10. I dont have a 2WD SS but my 2WD Sierra is OK in the snow as long as I have good all season tires and put some bags of sand in the bed. But tires are the most important if you dont have all season tires or snow tires its going to be a bitch.
  11. Yea its a truck its suppose to get dirty. I didnt buy a SS because I wanted some fancy street truck(which is retarded in my opinion)I wanted a truck that could move and still use it like a normal truck. Would you buy a race car then not race it? I do construction on the side with some friends so my truck sees concrete, dirt, rocks, wood, what ever. Hell im thinking about putting a snow plow on it to make some extra money. And no im not loaded im just a guy that likes to have some fun with his toys. Hell I sell life insurance. I do have another truck a 91 GMC 1500 but its only 2WD and thats the truck I REALLY beat on.
  12. Hell yes I drive my truck in the snow. I even take it mudding. Its a pickup truck its suppose to get dirty.
  13. Yes it will work but I have heard of a few guys who have used them with Radix's and after a few months the lockup clutch takes a dump. Once that happens it dumps clutch material throughout your transmission and you need to have the transmission refreshed. I would spend the extra bucks and get a good converter like a Precision Industries 10.5" triple disc 2600 stall.
  14. Yes it will fit but you need to change out the output shaft to a 4WD unit as well as the tail shaft housing will need to be swapped over. What size is the converter 9.5" or 10.5"? Is it a single disc or a multi-disc? Personally I think a 3200 stall converter is too big for a street driven truck. Also if its not a 10.5" and its not a multi-disc you may have problems down the road with the lock-up failing, 9.5" and a single disc is too small for a heavy truck like a SS.

  16. New price $23,500 or $25,000 with extended warranty. Currenty mileage is just under 23,000.
  17. Did the intercooled rotrex kit run at the track? Anybody remember what it ran if it did?
  18. Maybe if he had more than two pictures that you can barely see the condition of the truck it would have gotten some bids.
  19. Also on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=170033810684
  20. Below are pictures of the scratches and nicks in the paint. I bought the truck with these problems unfortunately. Scratch on tail gate very light can maybe be buffed out. Scratches on bumper scraping something this would have to be repainted to fix. Scratch above headlight again very faint can probably be buffed out. Rock chip in hood maybe can be touched up with paint. Scrap on wheel looks like from parrallel parking. Maybe wheel can be fixed never looked into it. Its just cosmetic doesnt cause any vibration.
