im getting both... the slow turn is making more noise than the 40-60 noise id appreicate the work order though.... Rob

Hi all, Just recieved a call from Mr Service manager he goes on and tells me to pick up my truck... I said great! what was the noise? well tech heard the noise ... didnt find a TSB regarding the growling noise comming from the front end . So I asked did you even open up the front differental ...anything? No , he said he will open up the front diff but if they find nothing Im responsilble for the costs. bullshit. So now Im on my way to pick my SSS up from Weed Chevrolet. Any help from my fellow SS brothers and sisters would greatly be appreicated. Is there a TSB or some kind of ammo I can go back on them with? Peace, Rob

*Update... I dropped it off tonight at the dealership...we shall see...I took a different service tech out since the last post. He drove and actually admitted to hearing "the growl".... so tonight I mentioned that my fellow brotherhood of SSS owners that have had simular noises have had everything from a rebuild to a complete replacement. He told me he could not find a service bulletin on that particular noise/problem with the AWD SSS . The most crazy thing at this Chevy dealership is the loaner they gave me...2007 Ford f150 .... Im gonna beat the balls off this thing

Is there a bulletin sent out regarding the noise that we hear with these AWD trucks?I took it in for the growling noise.. told the service department low speed turns the noise is present when making a turn such as into a parking spot,or a driveway.Got hit with a $100 deductable with the warranty.Here's the paperwork they gave me.HELP! thanks for the vent....... I was tossed also which hood to get... I ended up getting the first available which was the Goodmark.Hope this helps your decision.... the Goodmark does fit well and the hood insulation went right on as did the GM deflector which I put on last night in less than 5 minutes!Good luck

New paint is expensive when its done right....like removing the door handles,bed,cladding,front and rear bumper covers(fascia), etc... mine was $7200. and it was at the shop for 35 days!but it looks awesome!Black is a easy color to match, and just detail out what you dont...good luck

goodmark steel cowl...it is a factory fit I went to the goodmark site...found several dealers in my area, called around and a couple had them on hand $499.00 - no shipping charges.. the hood insulation even fit perfectly! here's some picts Rob

yeah...I did get her something...a set of embroidered Monte Carlo SS floor mats for her 03 SS., before she knew of the hood. ..once she found out about the hood it all came together ...A nice act without getting something in return so Ill make up for whatever I get now she'll get her's in Cabo San Lucas this new years eve......

she went 2 months before she noticed the hood( when I told her) ...after she spent 4 hours going to the shore and back...I was laughing so hard inside.....

The towing kit includes: larger boost valve, vette' servo, valve body gaskets, valve body recalibration kit, and 4th gear billet servo.

Well I guess the happens here stays here and I needa mod... I wanna get Zippys towing kit but what else do I do?
