  1. I must concur, takes balls to post pics like that, wait, with those shorts, I think we can see em. JK, cool 1st ride and cool Vans
  2. This is the same exact issue I have. Posted questions like 2 months ago and this is the first I've heard from anyone else having this problem. Passenger side gets the afternoon sun, cladding seems to bulge away from the door, door gets opened, bam cladding all f'ed up. My truck has been out of warranty for a while, estimate for repair = $400 Sorry black03, didn't mean to step on your post.
  3. Tough one! I guess it would depend on my mood at the time. This does kinda confirm a philosophy I have about how a$$hole type people and slackers seem to fall into luck, but honest straight-up people have to bust their a$$ to get anywhere. Even with that said, I still have to have faith in the idea that honesty and hard work will be rewarded. Handouts are for slackers I guess. If I did give it back, I probably would have said something to point out the fact that he was being a big dick about it. P.S. I no longer give my money to Home Depot -- too many discouraging experiences. Lowes now gets my business. My personnal opinion
  4. Thanks for the input. Some of us family guys don't have our own mod budget to work with, so we do what we can. Not bitchin, I love seein what every body else is able to do, this forum rules!
  5. Ya know, I was thinkin this weekend has been kinda slow for the SSS forum, but I think we're reachin on this one.
  6. Yep I figured somebody would say something bout that. I posted a couple issues with the cladding hitting front fender when door is being opened. Near as I can figure, the sun hits that side side of the truck in the afternoon causing cladding to pull away from door just enough to hit the fender. Plastic got bent so much from hitting, I finally trimmed it with a knife. I got a price of $400 to replace it and paint it, not too bad I thought, but man I was pissed when it first happened.
  7. Started painting calipers last night, finished one side today. had to quit, it's hot as balls out. Sorry, didn't get any befores w/ wheels off and truck is dirty.
  8. Yup I pretty much agree w/ evryone, lyin only gets ya busted. The truck is kinda like a girlfriend, as long as your honest, it's all good - jus kiddin honey.
  9. I like em alot but since I am picky, personally I prefer cleaner look without screws or rivets. I been looking hard for a set of wheels that really satisfy my taste, those are prettyclose
  10. Hey, hate to step on anyone's post, but I'm having same problem. I bought my truck used with 40k miles- out of warranty. Bought the extended plan, problem is bought it from a ferd dealer. Well I took the truck in today to have some warranty issues fixed. 1st thing intermediate steering shaft "clunk" this problem seems to be so prevalent how come GM can't figure out a permanent fix?! My Ferd ESP (extended service plan) doesn't cover it! Dealer wants to charge $100 bucks to lube it, is that a good price? FIY other problems, seatbelt warning stays on , tech found defective wiring under drivers seat - covered. Rear pop-out windows leaky/ wind noise, seems like I read a S.B. on this which stated replacing latches would fix it. Dealer says replacing entire window is the fix - covered. I want to call Ford and see if I can convince them to cover the steering issue since, to me , this a factory defect. Would y'all agree with that?
  11. Hey, I just noticed, our screen names are a little similar, my lame sig describes mine
  12. Welcome, sweet truck,I think you'll fit right in , specially with those great pics
  13. Had the "oppurtunity" to try the new Prada's out in the heavy rain today. They stick awesome! I can usually break loose in a couple of prime spots around town when its wet out, not with these.
  14. Stayin home and suffering. Had my tonsils removed on wednesday. At 37 this seems to be a very painful and lengthy recovery. Pain gets worse each day instead of better. Narcotics not helping, in fact can't sleep at all. Don't meen to bring y'all down, but you asked so I thought I' share the pain. Wish I could drink a few golden sodas so if each of you could have one for me, then someone should be doin pretty good.
  15. Well, the mgr was no help, he insists there's no way their machine could damage wheels like that. These people are very personable and helpful, so I don't know what to do. I've actually been considering getting my wheels powdercoated differently anyway. I'm leaning towards machined polished face with black all inside. Only prob with machined look is getting centercaps color matched. Any thoughts?
  16. I'll let y'all know the results in a couple of hours.
  17. Rollin on new Prada's Bonus! Sorry bout the pic but they F'd this wheel up and had the nerve to tell me it was already there probably from a curb. Goin in today to "see" the manager While were on the subject of my pain, anyone know how to remove paint spill? Tires ride great so far only 20 miles, tooearly to comment much, especially since I have unresolved issues with the dealer. If he don't make me happy, he may receive $1800 worth of new/used tires back (new Michelines on the wifes busurban.
  18. When I bought my truck, the dealer applied this stuff to the interior and exterior. I can't say that I notice any benefits on the interior but also I haven't had any problems with it . The exterior seems to holding up pretty good. I haven't waxed the truck at all in the year that I've had it. The water still sheets right off when I wash it. Zxilon P.S. Damn post-op narcotics make typing a bitch!
  19. I hesitated on this reply , but here goes. I've considered debadging the SSS. I know, Some may consider this to be sacreligous or something. I'm sure this discussion must have come up here before, still I would like get some feedback good, bad, or indifferent. Damn it must have taken 10min to write this post, I'm recovering from some minor surgery and must be more loopy than I thought I was. Evey other word I write has to be fuxed. P.S. Max looks good, I agreewith moldings off door dings are inevitable , moldings or not

45k miles on truck w/ orig. tires. Discount Tire Co. are really good people to deal with. If I don't like these tires, I should have no prob returning. Gettin a little concerned after reading these replies though. Tires won't be in till mid - end of week.
