How much for a steering wheel ?

I need a Bose Lux Amp for my navigation system. Anyone have one or know where I ca get a deal on one. I tried E-Bay with no luck. Thanks

If I cant' find them I'll have someone make them up for me.

I bought 22" factory look alike wheels for my 04 SSS and the came with the chevy flag stickers on the center caps. Does anyone know where I can get SS stickers for them?

I changed the wiring for the lux amp and finally got someone to program my navigation unit. I printed the instructions off this site and left it on the console. At first the tech was having trouble, then he said he had to load a program into his tech2. When he came back he tried again, then saw the instructions and finally got the unit to relearn the vin. When he finished, the unit looked ok but no sound. I checked the wiring and that seems ok. The speakers work if I hook them up before the amp, there is power to the amp, but it doesn't seem to be working. Looks like I need a new lux amp. The navigation unit is a touch screen part # 15229287.

The truck is an 04 but the drive train, fuel tank, wiring, dash, interior, and all the electronics are from an 03. I took it to the dealer to get the the PCM and body control module programed, and theft lock cleared for the navigation unit I installed. They didn't have a clue on the navigation unit. They said there was an error code. The modules were programed with the 04 VIN. Maybe they should have programed it for an 03? I've been driving around and it runs great. There are a few bugs I have to work out but I love it. The fuel guage problem is the biggest issue right now. This will be a good excuse to get a custom tune on the PCM.

I believe the PCM is from an 03. Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

I replaced all the wiring harnesses and electronics. So far everything seems ok.

I don't have a PCM upgrade yet. I'll probably get one soon. I have another PCM but I'm not sure it's any good. It looks ok but it was in the Katrina flood. If it's no good I'll buy another for the upgrade. What do I have to do to flash my PCM? Can I do it or do I have to take it to the dealer?

I just put my 04 SS on the road and I noticed my fuel guage going toward full. What a great SS. When it got to full I got gas anyway and to my suprise it took 24 gallons. I guess I have an electrical problem I'll have to check out. Anyone seen this before. It was working ok for a while then went berserk.

I finally got my 04 SSS on the road and love it. It's not done yet but at least I'm getting some seat time. My truck is a Katrina flood truck I'm rebuilding. It's a black 04 with 20k miles and I'll have about $15,000 in it when I'm done. Well maybe $40,000 after all the mods I see on this site. The body was great but the flood took its toll on everything else. I bought a roll over for parts and the only body part I could use was a tail light. The rest of the truck was trashed but the interior and drive train were ok and thats what I needed. I work at New Process Gear and we make the transfer cases for the SS so I got the employees price an a new transfer case. I had a good one but for $534 how could I go wrong. I also own a body and auto repair shop in Syracuse, NY. We swapped the entire interior including the dash and wiring harness. Then we swapped the entire drive train and wiring harness. The truck runs great. When I was driving I noticed the fuel guage going towards full. Being the genius I am, I thought something was wrong. When I filled it up the guage went to empty and the low fuel light came on. Other than that everything works great and I love the truck. All I have left is to paint the cowl induction hood, put on the speedstur cover, billet grille, and throw some old fashion SS stripes on it. I bought a GM navigation system with th Bose Lux amp and antenna and installed it in my 04 SSS. When I took it to the dealer they told me they couldn't reset the anti theft and when they tried an error message came up. They also told me that it wont work in my truck because it wasn't an option and I would need Onstar for it to work. I figure the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. After further review and reading some posts, I found that the problem may be the wiring at the amp because the old amp was a non lux and I believe some of the wires have to be changed. Can anyone ell me if I'm on the right track. I would also like to install the XM radio. Thanks

Do you still need a 20" silver rim? I have a couple extras off an 03 SS. I bought the truck for parts and I'm getting 22" chrome rims. I think 2 of the 4 are ok. Let me know.

I have an extra 03 Transfer Case for sale if anyone is interested. It has 40,000 miles on it and works fine. I live in Syracuse NY. E-mail me at [email protected] if you're interested.

I'll post some pictures when I'm done. Every nut, bolt and wiring harness in the cab has been changed. I'm installing a new drive train now.

I just recently bought an 03 and 04 SS. The 04 is a Katrina flood truck I'm restoring and the 03 is for parts. I cant wait to get my 04 on the road. It should be good to go in the next 2 weeks. I'll have some spare parts when I'm done. After I get it on the road I'll do a few mods. Great site. Thanks in advance for all the info.
