I guess subthump.com is the place to go. Man only $140 for a box. Thats not bad at all.
-
Nice. I guess I will go on google and do a search for these. Any recommendations on where to buy this box from?
-
That box you have is nice man. You subthump box, it looks custom to our trucks, is it? I bet that theatre amp is bad A$$. I can only imagine. Nice set up. I would go with something a little better I think but right now I am dumping all my cash in my Z28. Just got headers, NOS, RIMS, all sorts of goodies. So right now Amp, Subs, box is all I am really going with for now. How do you like the Rockford stuff? I use to have a pucnh 400 and 2 punch 12's. Was loud as hell. Wondered how you liked yours? I want a good bass range

Great. I will get it keyed up. Thanks for your help

Please tell me what you think. I want something that sounds pretty good, not looking to compete by any means. But I am thinking about getting the Alpine MRP-M650 Amp and 2 SWS-1022D 10" Subs. Here are the specs: MRP-M650 mono subwoofer amplifier » 400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) » variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave) » tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB boost at 50 Hz) » subsonic filter (15 Hz, 24 dB/octave) » preamp- and speaker-level inputs » 8-gauge amp wiring kit with 60-amp fuse recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier » 12-13/16"W x 2-3/8"H x 9-9/16"D » warranty: 1 year SWS-1022D 10" subwoofers with dual 2-ohm voice coils » Kevlar®-reinforced pulp cone with Santoprene rubber surround » frequency response: 30-1,000 Hz » power range (each): 50-300 watts RMS (150 watts per voice coil) » sensitivity: 85 dB » warranty: 1 year Do you think I will be happy with this set up? Also I have heard getting a EQ and small amp for the front stock bose speakers. Was wondering what others are running or what you would recommend that I got with. Thanks in advance

Great info man. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you I was out of town on business. Anyway $60 sounds fair shipped. How do you prefer payment? Paypal?

Truck has right at 50k on it now. But he told me they just did a flush on the tranny. So I am probably going to take it back and tell them the issue I am having and go from there. Thanks for the info
-
Yeah I hear ya there. I just wanted to see if the dealers used synthetic or not. I have heard that synthetic will cause some slippage but I cant seem to find out where I saw this. Do dealers use synthetic?

About 4weeks ago I went and had my tranny flushed and refilled by the dealer. I figured I was heck I will drop if off while I am out of town and it would be good to go when I get back. Well once I got back I noticed a small slip in the tranny but only in like 1st, and sometimes 2nd. Kinda shitty if you ask me. Worked great before hand so it is really pissing me off. I have heard of some people saying that the type of fluid used can have something to do with this. I have a 2003 AWD SS and any help would be appreciated. I can change the fluid myslef but I want to know what is recommended.

What do you man keep it behind the head unit and not in the console? Why would someone put it in the console? How much do you want for it?

I type gud

Nice. Thats what I am talking about. I just figured that with a higher friction pad that I would get more dust as I have in the past on my other cars. Great news. No instead of spending more time cleaning rims off I can spead more time drinkink beer---

Are their any issue putting a new sub in my truck without removing the bose sub? Reason I say that is b/c on my girl's maxima she had a bose and I wanted to replace the door speaks and I was told that I had to pull the head unit, all speakers and such to do so. Can anyone clarify this for me. I would be wanting to put in a 12" or maybe 2x 10"s with a new amp

So that much huh?

Gotcha. I just wanted to double check with all before I ordered. How bad do they dust compared to OEM? I know they are more fricition so therefore more dust but they say these are low dust, yeah right. Any other options? I want something thats low dust but has better braking over stock. I was going to get new rotors, pads and all but I jusyt dumped like $2500 on my Z28. Any info would be appreciated
