  1. I guess subthump.com is the place to go. Man only $140 for a box. Thats not bad at all.
  2. Nice. I guess I will go on google and do a search for these. Any recommendations on where to buy this box from?
  3. That box you have is nice man. You subthump box, it looks custom to our trucks, is it? I bet that theatre amp is bad A$$. I can only imagine. Nice set up. I would go with something a little better I think but right now I am dumping all my cash in my Z28. Just got headers, NOS, RIMS, all sorts of goodies. So right now Amp, Subs, box is all I am really going with for now. How do you like the Rockford stuff? I use to have a pucnh 400 and 2 punch 12's. Was loud as hell. Wondered how you liked yours? I want a good bass range
  4. Great. I will get it keyed up. Thanks for your help
  5. Please tell me what you think. I want something that sounds pretty good, not looking to compete by any means. But I am thinking about getting the Alpine MRP-M650 Amp and 2 SWS-1022D 10" Subs. Here are the specs: MRP-M650 mono subwoofer amplifier » 400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms) » variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave) » tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB boost at 50 Hz) » subsonic filter (15 Hz, 24 dB/octave) » preamp- and speaker-level inputs » 8-gauge amp wiring kit with 60-amp fuse recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier » 12-13/16"W x 2-3/8"H x 9-9/16"D » warranty: 1 year SWS-1022D 10" subwoofers with dual 2-ohm voice coils » Kevlar®-reinforced pulp cone with Santoprene rubber surround » frequency response: 30-1,000 Hz » power range (each): 50-300 watts RMS (150 watts per voice coil) » sensitivity: 85 dB » warranty: 1 year Do you think I will be happy with this set up? Also I have heard getting a EQ and small amp for the front stock bose speakers. Was wondering what others are running or what you would recommend that I got with. Thanks in advance
  6. Great info man. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you I was out of town on business. Anyway $60 sounds fair shipped. How do you prefer payment? Paypal?
  7. Truck has right at 50k on it now. But he told me they just did a flush on the tranny. So I am probably going to take it back and tell them the issue I am having and go from there. Thanks for the info
  8. Yeah I hear ya there. I just wanted to see if the dealers used synthetic or not. I have heard that synthetic will cause some slippage but I cant seem to find out where I saw this. Do dealers use synthetic?
  9. About 4weeks ago I went and had my tranny flushed and refilled by the dealer. I figured I was heck I will drop if off while I am out of town and it would be good to go when I get back. Well once I got back I noticed a small slip in the tranny but only in like 1st, and sometimes 2nd. Kinda shitty if you ask me. Worked great before hand so it is really pissing me off. I have heard of some people saying that the type of fluid used can have something to do with this. I have a 2003 AWD SS and any help would be appreciated. I can change the fluid myslef but I want to know what is recommended.
  10. What do you man keep it behind the head unit and not in the console? Why would someone put it in the console? How much do you want for it?
  11. Nice. Thats what I am talking about. I just figured that with a higher friction pad that I would get more dust as I have in the past on my other cars. Great news. No instead of spending more time cleaning rims off I can spead more time drinkink beer---
  12. Are their any issue putting a new sub in my truck without removing the bose sub? Reason I say that is b/c on my girl's maxima she had a bose and I wanted to replace the door speaks and I was told that I had to pull the head unit, all speakers and such to do so. Can anyone clarify this for me. I would be wanting to put in a 12" or maybe 2x 10"s with a new amp
  13. Gotcha. I just wanted to double check with all before I ordered. How bad do they dust compared to OEM? I know they are more fricition so therefore more dust but they say these are low dust, yeah right. Any other options? I want something thats low dust but has better braking over stock. I was going to get new rotors, pads and all but I jusyt dumped like $2500 on my Z28. Any info would be appreciated
  14. I just reread my thread. Been a long freaking day . Its amazing how stupid you can feel by not reading a thread before posting it. What the hell is HOW EVERYONE IS WELL??? Meant I hope everyone is well. Oh well now that the stupidity is out of the way. Can anyone help me out?
  15. How everyone is well. Need some help, I have a 2003 AWD SS and I need new pads so I went to tbyrne and they were not sure of the correct PN#s that are needed. So I called Hawk. They said that the fronts are a HB322F.717 Pad but said that the rear is a HB324F.673 but only if I have a 325 rear disc. I said I have rear disc just not sure size. Can anyone confirm this for me. Thanks
  16. Thanks for all the info man. I see what you are saying now. I think that might be the way to go for stealth like you said. Unfortunately I am running a wet kit now so I will have to find a way to fab the intake somehow after the MAF where I am going to run the fogger. I am thinking I can probably have a larger intake tube running to the Tb and then have the nozzle actually hidden inside the tube so that it is all conceled. The run a sleve (internal of course that the lines run in as well). I will have to put my thinking cap on for this one.
  17. So when you connect it to the tps does it hook up like my regular WOT activation switch hooks up?
  18. Ahh I see. Thats pretty sweet set up. I like how it all in one. Thanks for the heads up. Have you bought it yet? Let me know how it turns out once you do.
  19. I already have a window switch (MSD). So are speaking of something that more or less lets you manually pull the timing when you need to?
  20. That sounds like what I need. I wanna run a agressive tune for the nitorus but normal tune when not running it. Do you have a link for this??
  21. I've got a 125 shot on mine and what BenKey said, its runs great <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice so what are you doing about timing? Having it tuned for the nitrous? Or running a digital6 or something similar to retard the timing?
  22. OK so it should be the same set up really then. Those are the plugs I used on my z as well and same gap. What about switches? I would like to see some setups of switches being used and where. I had the jimmy-jams ashtray switches originally but they wont work any longer on the SS
  23. I have a cold fusion kit on my z28 now that I am thinking about taking off and putting on the SS. Kit should be straight forward install right seeing as it is a wet kit? On my Z I didnt have to pull timing on it b/c it was only a 125 shot. I went ahead and got a MSD digital 6 to pull timing when needed so on and off perf was good, will this same set up work on the SS. I saw a note in a previous thread about getting PCM reprogrammed so as to run better with the nos, pull timing I assume? I just want to get right so as not to screw anything up. I want it to be right for sure. Also as a side note do the SS's need to run a colder plug as well? What gap?
