  1. Congrats on your new family member! She's a good looking puppy. Not very original but i like Blue also!

Have you had a dog before?

We adopted our pit maybe 2 months ago and she's turned out to be a really loving dog. Her names Bonnie and when she has finished her training we are going to start looking for Clyde.

BTW let me know if your ever going to be in town with her and you could swing by and introduce her to Bonnie. Im in 90745

  2. What a feeling to get into a home! I love it man nice pick. Be sure to collect your 8k tax credit on your taxes next year. Since your purchased after Jan.1, 09 and before Dec 1, 09 you don't have to pay it back unlike JaymzSS and Myself. We have to start paying back our "Loan" in 2 years @ $500 a year for 15 years.

  3. I have been using only mobil 1 oil filters since i have owned it. I just switched to a K&N to see if i notice a difference. I am not sure if it is piston slap i do not know what that sounds like?? If so what do you have to do to fix it? Resleave the cylinder?

Piston slap sounds like a knock on cold start up. Valve train noise is more like tapping. My 7.4L in my 99 burb did this horribly! I'm sad to say every once and a while my truck is doing it also!

I'm running gold cap mobil1 and a shorty mobil1 filter.

I heard a brand new vette the other day slapping away when he startd her up!

  4. Disneyland is cool we has season passes but if you like roller coasters I would recommend Six Flags Magic Mountain most def.

Hollywierd is alright to drive thru and check out the weirdos but thats about it. You could say you seen the sign. LOL.

Santa Monica Pier is usaually crowded with your assorted groups of punk kids and gang bangers. Atleast thats how it was last time we went.

I would take P.C.H all the way up or down the coast though it is a must do your homwork on the directions though. I would take PCH to Ocean Blvd and do a drive through downtown Long Beach over the bridges through the Port of L.A/L.B into San Pedro around the coast into Palos Verdes right by Donald Trumps Golf corse into Redondo thru to Hermosa on to Venice then to Santa Monica!!!.. Redondo beach peir has some cool little bars and some outdoor sea food spots. They have a huge speed boat that holds like 30 people if you like that sort of thing. Same goes for Bar row at Hermosa Beach.

San Diego is really nice but Im not from there so Ill let someone else chime in on that.

PM me if you come out this way!

  5. I'm seeing more VHO's in the new body sytle (07+) than our gen trucks. Probably almost 3 to 1 if not more. I think the VHO package was not that well known and only spreading by word of mouth and whoop a$ handouts at the track and on the street. So, yeah, I would say it is rare. However, I do see more VHO's than SSS's in my area, but thats not saying much.

As far as this tool goes, I would love to drive over and give him a run, but it would do no good. He would cry that I was supercharged and it wasnt fair, and that if he had one, he would smoke me blah blah blah.

What we need is a stocker SSS to go and keep up with him or beat him and shut him out. No after market cam, or whatever. A pure a$whip from a good old stock SSS.

"VHO's" were only made in 04-05 so they are a more rare then the SS. The Vortec Max edition started in 06 till now with both 2wd and 4wd. In 07 the had the Vortec Max in the CBS and in the NBS.

I've had a go at a couple SSS and I won some and lost some but still it's always close and all in good fun. I think he needs some humble pie though!
