  1. If your looking for a factory gun and wanting to hunt big game, then its obvious to go with a big caliber. I have a 25-06, that I shoot, that I have some work done too, and also load my own bullets. Ruger makes good rifles, as well as winchester, either or is up to you. Or you could always build a custom gun, like a .338 or .50 cal. or something, they got plenty of knockdown power. :M16:

well i am wanting a bushmaster but i didnt know what round to go with...there are different barrels that i can buy for it i just didnt knoow what round would be the best

  2. Ok this is way out there, but i am looking to buy a new gun come summer time....i want either a dpms or a bushmaster....the question is what round to get...i go deer hunting but i might go elf hunting sometime...so i need a round that can get through deep woods without losing power...but also can take a big game down...i was thinking 223 but i dont know how that will work with big game...maybe a 300 or 450....i dont know what to get so any input would be nice

  3. I'm in Sedalia

Although I'm a quite a bit older then you guys but I'm still young at heart. LOL

Would love to meet up somewhere and have a good time.

This might be somewhere to meet and hangout. It used to be in Sedalia but they got kicked out of the fairgrounds because the director of the fairgrounds caught some footage of a little too much exposed skin from some female bodys. LMAO So it moved to Warrensburg in 07 and it looks like they are doing it again this year.

    Midwest Dragfest 08

JUNE 6,7,AND 8TH AT THE JOHNSON COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS IN WARRENSBURG, MISSOURI ITS GONNA BE AN ALL OUT SHOW THIS YEAR. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE.

Just a thought. I can't really find any offical site or flyers yet, But this would be the 4th or 5th year of them having it.

that would be better for me since thats where i goto college....but have to see what other people think....i have not seen others in Sedalia...since i drive through there on sundays....my buddy works for hays and the other for the water department...

  4. I'd love to come down to a meet in KC area. Anyone from that area??? Could run the trucks at KCIR and find a BBQ place to eat at prior to going to the track... Perhaps some shopping during the day for our chicks...

ya KCIR would be a good time...be nice to get like 10 people to show up or something....

  5. well i just intalled my dual aeroforce gauges and so far i like them....the one thing though is that when i clear the check engine light...it comes back on in a few minutes...dont really like that but o well...on the 1/4 mile time i ran a 14.7 and it was up hill i will just have to find a flat spot and see what it runs then...its about 78 outside now and the intake temp ran 84 degrees down the road...thought that was cool...i like all the features but i have alot more to look at

  6. Just wondering if any of you on here are from around the Mid MO area.. I don't see very many but I am sure they have to be out there! If anyone is from around here let me know!

right here!! i am down by the lake...about 15 min from there...where are you from?

  7. You realize that is a manual shifter in your pic and mine is for an auto. This is a Ratchet action shifter for an auto and is unlike a stock floor mount auto shifter. You have to pull up on the T handle with your finger to get it out of park, it then drops down and back staying in the same position for D321 and only mover up or down one shift at a time no matter how hard you push on it .Yes you can get a shorter shifter but will not fit where i have it. You might check say B&M.com for handles.

ya i know that is a manual...i just didnt know if there was a different shaft you could buy...i see that level that you have to pull up on now...i will look around for some knobs...thanks

  8. really???? I used those bolts and had no problem. Hmmm....thats interesting.

ya it happened on the drivers side...i was pissed...so i took the headers back off...found a small nut...since the bolt was in the block and there was no way to get it out....i put the nut over the bolt...which was about flush...and welded them together...then cranked it back out...might have just been a bad bolt or something...

  9. KR is when the PCM retards the timing due to a knock tnat the knock sensor picks up. This can be from numerous things which may or may not be actual knock. For example, my truck is LOUD! I run high octane racing gas only and on a logged run, I found that I was getting some KR. We took some timing out of the tune and found that I was still getting KR. Long story short, it was determined that my KR was being caused by the loud exhaust and the sensor was receiving false information. I simply turned the sensitivity in my Knock sensors waaaaaay down and problem solved. In my case, as a bracket racer, KR pulling some timing out during a run can be the difference between a win or a loss so monitoring it is very important. Plus, if it is actual knock, you're going to want to fix that ASAP. Hope this helps. I am a novice tuner at best so if I am wrong, please someone correct me.

ok that helps...so for a average driver what should it be? and when should i worry about it and have it looked at?

  10. thats where i got my headers from...the speed-eng....a note to you if you get them....DO NOT USE THE BOLTS THAT COME WITH THE HEADERS!!!! they snap off easy... i had one snap off as i was bolting the headers on....other than that i like them.. o and i paid 33.98 for shipping to MO....
