ok i have been thinking if i could get al least 5 people in i can do a GB on the CF parts. so if i get 5 people the price would be $425 for both parts plus shipping, if i get more than 5 i may even lower it a bit more.

Well my gage cluster took a dump on me. Got pulled over doing 97 speedo read 70, let me off with warning. He said someone would have to be drunk or high to pass him intentionally going 97. He did not think I was either of those. Also the oil gage was reading 180 out. So it was time to get things fixed.
did you get the letter saying that GM will replace your cluster?

that looks pretty good...i used to have a busa and i would do that til one til i almost fell off at 70mph on the interstate...that kinda calmed me down...then i almost wrecked trying out my TRE at +200mph...just watch out...

how much did it cost
i think i spent like 225 on the tune then a 125 core charge...you get the core charge back when you sent your factory one back in....i have a wheatley tune and i like it..plus if you have any questions he will answer quickly...just my exp...

Thats correct, but after each 11 minutes you must make sure the security light is out before shutting the key off for 30 seconds.

does anyone have the shopman1 brushed bowtie if so could you post some pics? i know they are supposed to look different than the chrome ones....the reasoning for this is that i have a 03 so i dont have the chrome wheels and i dont want to buy a bowtie that is chrome...i was wondering if the brushed ones would look like the rims...i could buy one that looks like the rims but i want the SS in the middle of it...

ya i figured it was the best...come monday around 2 i will be letting you all know what i think of it..i called about 15 trans shops on sat. but hardly any were open...the ones i did talk to thought i was crazy for putting a HD2-C shift kit in....they said people always put them in then want them out after 30 days....so i dont know what to think...but i will tell my thoughts come monday.

a trans shop here in MO called MR Transmission for 150
-
Update, well Monday I am having my kit installed. I am done tryin to do it and I want it done right.
-
ok with the accumlator that i bought...there are 2...one for the 2nd and one for the 4th i think....i looked in the directions and i see where they go...there is a fourth with 3 grooves cut into it...what does that do?

Update, I went to the exhaust shop and they jacked it up and looked at it. Finally after 10-15min of them asked me questions, such as how fast it was, where I got it and how much they liked the looks, why not get a handheld programmer to make the shifts harder(even though I said I have a PCM tune that does that) why I would install a shift kit, how they liked my truck, then they finally said something. They had a floor jack and put it under the trans and lowered the truck a little and I saw how much it moved and I think its enough room. So in the morning I will attempt the 2nd try to install the kit. And I would say that I will be back on here asking about other stuff. The bad part is that if only removing the pan was this big of a headache I cant think of what is still to come.
P.S. There was a kid there who had bought a 07 Dodge and he was hinting at me to race. I didnt pick up on it I guess cause my friend who went with me told me on the way home.

Cut the exhaust. It was a bad idea to weld it...
EDIT: On the good side, cut it where it would make sense to have a connector. Then, when it comes time to drop the pan and replace the trans filter, you can drop the pan without cutting the exhaust a second time.
thats the only way huh? i would have thought the shop would have know not to weld it to...all i need is at max .5 inch...thats alot to...the cross bar is whats in the way

Exhaust has to come off first.
Cable comes off next. What you can do is take the cable off of the transmission (15mm nut, then pull the metal clip and pinch the plastic clips to release the cable from the bracket). Once the cable is out of it's main bracket piece, some trucks don't have enough clearance to fully remove the cable because it's to close to the pan, well you can use a large screwdriver to pry away the bracket a little bit to fully remove the cable from the bracket.
Once the cable is out of the way, all you have to do is drop the other side of the pan down first and it will slip right by the bracket.
i got the bracket off and out of the way now that cross over exhaust is in the way...my exhaust is welded so there is no way to take it off....any tips
-
its the linkage....the like park linkage bracket thats it the way and i need help
-
i am in the process of installing it now but i have some trouble..i have spent about a hour trying to get the pan off...i cant do it, it is stuck on something and the stock exhaust pipe runs right under it....any ideas?
-
my old one had rubbed a hole in the bottom a little from a bracket that i did not see and i didnt want a filter with a hole in it....it looks funny when you open the hood and see how huge the filter is .. its a RC 5139...

Here are the proper replacement filters for the K&N FIPK on a 2003 SSS......
57 Series - RF-1042
77 Series - RC-5046
I don't see how a larger filter would you make you run lean, post some pics of the size difference.
wow well this one somehow fits and its not either of those....
