  3. I've been wondering the same thing on the direct bolt in as I don't want to replace anything else.
  4. Less then a year ago I had my wipers stick on. Went into the shop and got it fixed. What was replaced I do not know. Then this morning my delay feature is whacked, only the longest delay setting works and none of the others. I did a search on the site and nothing came up. I was hoping to find a fix that I could do myself. Anybody have any issues and experience with this? Thanks, Corey

  8. I just read through all 12 pages and got more excited with each post GB or not on the brackets, I need a set to start putting parts together.
  9. I looked up my post from last year being stock and I'm shocked at the 60' difference. This was in the stock config: 1st pass... 2.145 60' 9.468 @ 74.13 1/8th and 14.916 @ 89.03 1/4 Not really sure why it would be two tenths off even with the bad air. Maybe something in the tune? Not sure what TM is. The only things done are the Nelson tune, cai and removing the spare. If I can get the 60' like last year I think I'll be pretty happy. Any idea what a good set of headers and exhaust would do ET wise?
  10. Last year I ran the truck all stock and was able to rip off a 14.91. Since then I had Nelson do a tune, purchased a Voolant cai and instal the 160 stat. I also removed the spare for the runs. Yesterday we had a heat wave and it was a 100* day and I couldn't get the truck to run under 180, the air was junk. Once the temp cooled off a little bit last night I was able to get the truck to come around. The differences from last year being stock to last night besides the mods are, 1/8 of a tank last year to 1/2 a tank last night and 20 degrees warmer out with bad air. 60' 2.328 1/8 9.565 @ 76.02 1/4 14.787 @ 92.96 I also had a 14.82 and a couple 14.85 I was hot lapping the pig and all four of these passes took place in a 10 minute span. I think in cold air and letting the truck cool for awhile it might have a high 60 in it, but that maybe too much to ask. I thought the numbers were pretty good even for the horrible air last night. I just thought I would share, I mostly hang out in the turbo forums and chevelle forums since thats what I race most of my free time
  11. I finally got around to doing mine yesterday as well. A very easy install with no issues. For people having any issues installing the end links, just jack up the truck about 2-4" on the side you are working on and the end link will slide in. I actually had it just on the tight side and was able to put my leg on the jack handle and push it down slightly to raise the truck for just the right spacing for the middle portion of the end link to slide in. That being said, I didn't drive the truck until this morning. The bushing took some of the bounce out of the front and was very surprised just how much roll it did take out. It also quickened the steering response. The truck now feels much more controlled in corners. It's probably one of the best bang for the buck bolts ons ever Thanks for all the wonderful info, Corey

  14. From a normal bracket racing stand point it doesnt add up for the ET the car runs. I foot brake the car to 3000 and leave on zero boost, even at that it doesn't hook very well. At 16lbs of boost it make 640rwhp with 22% converter slippage. Here are a couple vids from a few weeks ago. The second link I started to eat up a piston after the 1/8th I was 109.7mph at the 1/8.   15. Everything looks really nice. Did you happen to take the truck to the track in the stock configuration? If so, do you plan on taking it out to see if there is any difference with the bolt on's? I have been looking at exhaust as well, and I'm glad to hear it's not that loud at cruising speed. Corey
  16. Thanks for the kind words guys. I know our altitude was driving force to get it to dip into the 14's. Anybody who reads this should take this into consideration when comparing a truck with or without mods. RacerJJ, If I take the truck back out, I will keep the temps up and see what that does for consistancy and low ET's Right now I'm trying to decide on which tuner to go with, but I also want to couple that with the 160 T-stat and the CAI. If I get to this point I'll let you guys know how much of a difference this makes. Corey
  17. I know all to well what happens when you want to chase that next lower digit. I've been chasing the 9's in my Chevelle for awhile now and trying to do it on a small tire in street trim. It's very adicting, but I love it For some reason I keep seeing the word Radix all around town.
  18. I wasn't sure if it was possible or not to get my stock 04 into the 14's tonight, but it did it on the very first pass. I did take the spare off the truck today and the gas tank was near empty, so I'm sure that helped quite a bit. One advantage I have here in Portland is our alititude which is about 60' Lately I've been thinking about doing some things to the truck. I thought if I could get it into the 14's I would have a good chance of making it into the 13's with as little money as possible. I like spending my other funds on my Chevelle. Here is the run down. 1st pass... 2.145 60' 9.468 @ 74.13 1/8th and 14.916 @ 89.03 1/4 2nd pass... 2.146 60' 9.481 @ 73.86 1/8th and 14.934 @ 89.02 1/4 3rd pass... 2.146 60' 9.507 @ 73.47 1/8th and 15.012 @ 87.85 1/4 The consitant 60fts blew me away. I always staged shallow to help out the ETs, so me bumping in contributed to the duplication. I was also surprised that it droped off so much the 3rd pass, I let the truck cool all the way down and the outside air temp had droped a lot. I had hoped it would have picked up enough to run an 14.89. I just thought I would share my results from tonight. I can't wait to get a t-stat and a tune in the truck to see how much I can pick up.   19. I will throw out there that I did run a best of 15.14 the first time out with zero mods. I suppose 75ft. above sea level has everything to do with it.

  21. With my normal daily driving I average 14.5 with a mix of city and freeway/traffic going to and from work. On road trips on the freeway it will avg 18.5-19.5 It's nice to hear some of the Radix people are only taking about a 1mpg ding. It would be nice to have one of the truck.
