  2. Also if you do a 2/4 you will want to replace your stock shocks with "drop shocks" My truck runs smoother dropped 3/4 than it did stock. Just with a 1/2 or 2/2 drop you shouldn't notice any change in ride. Especially if you are back with 20s vs. 24s. That to me is the most significant "ride changer" I guess you'd call it.
  3. Here in an answer I got from a PT.net guy: Very very very common issue on GMT800 line. Either the battery is weak, or the starter is pulling to many amps. When the voltage drops below (insert # here) pcm memory is lost
  4. Well since you are raised 2" by lift blocks and dropped 2" by shackles now you are at stock ride height in back. So if you remove the lift blocks your drop shackles will only give you 2" drop not 4" On a shackle and t-key drop it's usually considered a 1" maybe 2" front and 2" rear so a 1/2 or 2/2. In order to do a 2/4 properly you would need 2" front drop spindles, turn torsion keys back up closer to stock position and add Hangers in the rear for a 4" total.
  5. Yes that's the lift block, you can remove that from the rear and loosen your torsion key screws thus allowing the front to come down. It's only bad if you turn down your torsion keys too far to a point where it can't be aligned properly. A good alignment shop can adjust those as low as possible to a within specs and still get you aligned right. Now if the back sits too low just adjust your shackle setting. I read that you already have drop shackles right?
  6. Well think about the problem, the readiness tests keep re-setting so that means the PCM is losing power somehow, somewhere. Because I know everytime I disconnect my battery, my readiness tests have to reset. So how to determine where the power supply is being lost I am not sure. Could be a bad PCM, fuse, etc. I hope someone can post up with more knowledge. I'd suggest posting a thread on performancetrucks.net FaceBook page. Seems to be the place to ask questions these days where there is a little knowledge and experience left.

Why does everyone put these upside down nowadays?
  9. Got it, I'll save it my phone and keep a lookout. Exactly what I told the cops when mine was stolen, they asked if it had anything unique about it. I said no front plate and dark tint.
  10. I used McGaughys. I had Steve buy all parts, shocks too.
  11. http://www.ss-motorsports.com/ Where I had mine dropped. Ask for Steve, tell him Aaron sent you. He does excellent alignment too and washes truck before delivery. The shop just moved to a larger location in Simi so the address on L.A. St. is the old one. Call to get new address. I live in 818 SFV too but it's worth the drive out there.
  12. I am sorry sir to tell you this but expect the worst and hope for the best. It was stolen for one reason: to remove everything 06/07 "SS" off of it. Back when my 2 were stolen they weren't pulling the drivetrains but now they are. Expect about 2 days to pass until it's found dumped somewhere. Or it went to Mexico on a semi and is long gone. I wish I could be more supportive but this is what it is here in SoCal owning an SS or any truck now for that matter. You never know, may get lucky like Eddie (SS truck) and CHP or local PD will pick it up. Wish you the best my man.... Actually what's your plate # ? If you don't mind posting it. Never know, may be an amateur and driving it around. Did you have any Lo-Jack on it or GPS or is On-Star activated? If so once your police report is filed, those trackers can be activated. But they know how to deactivate now.
  13. Classic t-stat symptoms it sounds like to me.

Blown, done, all it needs is gas and a driver. Make offer.
  15. I used to I guess you'd say "lift" I worked out for years from 03-December 2010 and then stopped lol. Got sick of it, the stink, the people and always being sore plus the cost of food. I was eating meal after meal, got expensive haha. I'm 6'1" and was 255 lbs at my prime. Once I stopped working out I changed my diet and have remained about the same weight. 250-260 but of course lost the definition. Never liked bench. I was a free weight type. 100 lbers were the most I could ever lift each arm for incline and reg. bench.
  16. http://www.uhaul.com/Reservations/EquipmentDetail.aspx?model=AT 5,290 pound trailer capacity Plug in your info. to mine or JC's link and you should be good to go man. You can rent one of their bigger trucks which has a towing capacity well large enough to tow you out here along with having plenty of space for your things.
  17. Yeah try U-Haul, they do one way rentals and if your 06 being 2wd you weight what about 4950? I believe those trailers are a 5,000 max capacity but double check with them 1st.
