1st off to any law enforcement officers reading this thread I am not proud of this. So please don't think too bad of me. Scenario: Tuesday, 10am, 90 degrees and sunny here in HelL.A. I'm traveling on the I-57 S into Santa Ana/Orange for work. I reach to the summit of the 57 S at Raging Waters. Then start going downhill. I speed up to I will admit around 95mph. Of course I'm passing everyone else and I see a CHP motor officer has me radared. So I slow down to 85mph and I'm sure he's got me. So I pass him, I just start pulling over right there lol. But he doesn't go after me for at least 20 seconds. The moment he pulls intot he slow lane there's an exit so I get off. I enter into a gas station and park hiding next to pumps and food mart blocking me from exit ramp view ya know. I see the cop exit with NO lights or sirens NOT code 3, he looks to his left to clear traffic so I pull forward and turn around the foodmart so the whole time he is going he cannot see me. I panic, I just wait there for 5 mins. behind food mart. I then leave and there he is across the street waiting for me. Looks right at me, starts his bike and goes. I'm done I'm sure right there. So I get back on 57 S and I see him enter as well. So I get off again and drove into a neighborhood and parked it off lol. I waited another 5 mins. and just took streets until I go to the 605 S. Anyway, I can't tell if he was really waiting for me or this was all just guilt I was feeling and bad luck on my part with him following me for no reason. It's just too ironic I got radared, was going 95, got off, cop gets off same exit, waits, sees me, follows again and I lose him a 2nd time. idk Just thought I'd share, any opinions would be cool.

Hey Dave, I agree, it's gonna be packed there. I'm cool with meeting at your shop. More I think, it's probably a better idea. May 9th is working for us all so far. I can bring an extra propane tank instead of my bbq so we have plenty of propane. I'd rather meet at your shop, hopefully everyone agrees....

yes I believe it's only on the 06's with the 2wd. GM calls it ASR Anti Slip Recovery. basicly with it off, as in vid, your rear wheels will not be restricted to burnout. You have to turn it off everytime you start your truck or else is auto on. There is a b utton on dash above headlight switch. If its on, as soon as it detects a burnout the ASR reduces the power to recover from the spin. It's a safety feature basicly...

Crown that's not an SS! If you want the new body style look for one that says "Vortec Max" on the side badging. Someone just bought some SS badges and slapped them on that one in the pic. Thats the simple way of telling the difference. Welcome, where in Cali are you from?

Alright Nekro and ST, got you down. I'm gonna bring my bbq this time so that's covered. Will bring my icechest too with some drinks. If you guys could bring some food that'd be great. Depending on how much I have saved the week before willd determine what I bring. Things tight right now. Also don't forget condiments,plates,napkins and utensils. I got the condiments covered as well....

Looked like the ASR to me, btw nice vid. I set off the same alarm everyday on same car leaving work in my parking garage. Been about 4 months now. Then last week I drove by and the lady had her hood up. I asked you ok? She says, yeah I guess my battery is dead, I grinned, hmmmm I wonder why....

That said, I went down to the Santa Monica pier yesterday, Sat. Got there at 11am to check out the lot. It was pretty much filled up. So I am thinking we should meet no later than 10am on a Saturday. Also, there is a fee to get in the lot, I believe cash only again so keep in mind. So we have location and time, now we just need a date. How about either Sat. May 9th (know short notice, np if too soon) or Sat. May 30th. Also, I found a nice place in the lot north of the main entrance. So once you enter you make a right turn, drive through main lot then come to a small lot on side of main lot. Very similar to Doheney's lot.
