Welcome... just a few things AOD is a ford term, and LS2 rods are the same rods that are in your 5.3L currently.

Did you actually cut it? I still see a good bit of peel and urethane wave. Either way it still looks good.

Truck looks amazing danny to bad your not closer to me man I have a guy that would do it no problem
Thanks man. Doors will be painted early next week, Then I'm focused on getting the cab, door, and grille mated back to the chassis. I'm saving the bed for last.
Yeah man I got F^&*ed pretty bad on this interior deal. Wasted a bunch of time and energy. The search continues.

I had a guy lined out with a agreed time line and price that was nailed down 3 weeks ago. Our budget was and is drained so I sold a mutual fund to afford this interior because this has become a huge part of our life and a very very important thing to do for her father. I have been working 16 hour days the last 3 weeks to get the cab and doors painted and on the chassis so I could take it to him by the 2nd week in August to do the interior. Earlier tonight I had an odd feeling and sent him a text just to make sure we were still good to go on the delivery of our truck to his shop. He informed me that he couldn't take in anything until November.....WTF? Here is the biggest issue with that. Our wedding is November 21st. Not a snowballs chance in hell of him finishing it by then.So here is where I sit. I have a custom made seat frame that will be here next week. I have several sheets of aluminum that I bought for the interior guy to use that was at his request. What I need:Someone to execute the job that I can trust and won't rip my head off on the price.Seat upholstered (I already have the simple design)Door panels made and upholstered (I have this design also)CarpetKick panelsheadlinerrear cab surroundI don't want or need any super fancy designs in anything. Just nice crisp clean work.I understand this might be asking a lot of someone, but I assure you the impact that you will have in our lives and our families lives will be HUGE.Since you guys haven;t seen the truck in a good while. Here are a few teaser pictures.Chassis is all painted and back together.
Grille and Cab are also painted
Color sanded and soaking up some UV to cure the clear before buffing

Lights, AMAZING!!! Here is a pic of what Danny is talking about on the door... Who sees it??
Good to hear.
-
Nice wheels man.. they work well with the truck.
Guys look closely at the first pic above the bottom body line on the door....
Forgot to ask. How are those lights holding up?
-
Is this only happening after it gets to full operating temp?
-
Several as in 2 or 3? Oh god..or did you mean more??
Just so you know it isn't just a simple box, it isn't just a simple tank either. It is a pressurized surge tank. It isn't like a overflow tank you often see.
about 600-700 depending on what all you want. People always say "OH MY GOD" , but we dont use jigs and everything is built to fit. We have about 25ish hours in total in that tank which includes multiple fitments in a 99-07 truck to make damn sure it clears anything and everything. We normally charge 35/hr for fab work which is cheaper than anyone else you are going to find anywhere... well at least people that can delivery what they promise. One of the members above can comment on that. His first tank he had made was complete junk. I could have made a better tank with cardboard and epoxy.

Need pictures of the bed.

Don't understand that.. I plan on using carbon flanges but I also have access to 309 wire....
meaning people are welding stainless material with mild steel wire...
-
How many of those will it take for one with a sight gauge?
If you are remotely serious PM me. Just a FYI you can pop the cap and look at the level with the inside tube that is there as part of the baffle and doubles as the full level.
-
How many more you building? J/k!
None unless you have several of these to spend.
-
Very cool! Looks good at usual. I'm guessing you built it?
I did everything except weld it. I was actually kinda pissed I walked into the shop Monday morning and it was sitting on the frame table all welded. George got bored of smoking cigs and drinking Mt Dew he decided to actually do something. It just so happens he finished my damn project!

Little eye candy...
Thats cool.

.035 308l..using a miller 350P
Cool deal. I've seen too many using stainless and welding with ER70S-6... makes me want to slap them

There are a large number of fast trucks out there with 65E's in them when they have the right builder and right tuner. Both go hand in hand. He went to the 80E from what I have gathered not from knowledge of either trans or even because he broke his 65E, but because alot of people told him it was the way to go. Mostly people who have no clue what they are even talking about in the first place let alone any that have knowledge in transmissions. This site has grown into a site of people answering posts with the same answer that they read somewhere else or something they heard from somewhere with none of their own knowledge to back it up. My point to him is that over and over and over he has assumed there is something wrong with the transmission or the converter. This isn't a one time thing. If you have a problem with the trans, you will know it without a doubt. It will either not shift at all or badly slip all the time. If you have a problem with the converter you will know it because it will either never lock, never unlock, or come apart and send the trans temps to the moon. Whether or not you have a blower on the truck doesn't change the point. You chose an 80E and although you have little knowledge of it you are still dealing with an automatic transmission. When there is a problem with them you will know without question.

Warped up a bit but the top plate should square thing up..
Mig welding? Which wire?
-
Cool, looks to be the flowmaster design.

I like the us mags spade because if you get a nice brake kit it will show through. Especially with the black paint your going with, a red caliper would look good in my opinion
Truck has Wilwoods on it, and yes it would be nice to show them a bit.
-
Foose is coming off the list. I just got the build cost back from the manufacturer and for 15" wheels they want just over 3,000.00. That isnt going to happen!
-
what color is the truck going to be?!
the bonneville would look really good with black imo, and the foose with arrival blue...
FP2002 Spies Hecker Black. I have the paint waiting.
It is the deepest possible black you can find and has blue toners in it. It makes Onyx Black look like muddy water.

Lets get an explanation for your choice... If you guys don't mind.
And don't get caught up in the branding. The Foose and US Mags wheels are made by the same place and owned by the same company.
The Bonneville can be bought fully polished without the knock off spiner as well.

you don't ever ship them together. The converter sitting in the unit bouncing around will ruin the pump bushing and possibly mare the hell out of the hub.
