wow i just graduated from h.s with all A's also. ask him to buy me a vette. lol. me and my dad made the same agrement once i graduate from college he will buy me a new truck. but right out of h.s i say keep the ss. i can see a lot of speeding tickets in a vette.

i had to change my rears too and my front were fine. if your going to change pads i heard hawk was good. (i beleive that was the company could be wrong) but if your changing the back brand, you mine as well change the fronts also to match.

good luck chase, if i just didnt receive a free set, i would have jumped on this. have you thought about going to a junkyard to get some tails?? you sand them down anyway so light scratches shouldnt be a big problem. but w.e you do good luck

i know a few places that powdercoat. i wanted my snap-on tool box done a while ago. but idk if wheels would be diffrent. i beleive it was in fall river or maybe providence. ill check for you though becuase once i get my whole truck done i think i might go for a blacked out wheel with a silver lip. and ya his truck does look good with the exhaust maybe he can help me with mine to get it the way i want it.?? if you read this chime in i need some work.~~Kyle

dont be sorry, after seeing your truck and your tails how nice of a shape they are in i will take all the advice i can from you. sswrecker-about how many quarts would it take to do a complete job in that color and ho wmany if i just did half like half black(top) red (bottom) or vice versa

just got some day pics. i will be sanding and repainting my diff cover today. since its not dropped you can see the black out rear but can see a rustcolored/dirty diff color. no good in my eyes. i was thinking of a silver dif cover with black bolts or keep it black with silver bolts??

so are you offering to make me a new one?? lol

well im finally done, had to go out and get some tape and solder but im finally done. heres the pics, hope you like. also i cant believe my lights came in a day early, i guess its my lucky day. also can i go thru a car wash with my tinted tails? just a pic of when i was working on it. and a little video me and a freind watching me work made lol.

ya but in some spots its like dull and it looks like he went through the clear. i have a reall good deatailer ill try, would the dealership touch something like this?? and i cant wait for the tail to come in tomorow im actual;ly going to install the fire and ice tonight so i can put them on, i didnt want to b4 but i see that its removable. that drop will be done this month. it has taken so long to find time but me and my uncle finally have time off together, the parts are getting dusty. i think it will look realy nice once the drop is done. EDIT: is there a way to change the name to a topic? i want to change this to a pic thread so i can show the progress without starting a whole new topic everytime.

more pics, still doesnt show the most of it. i guess you need to see it in person to see them. also i was thinking abotu colors and was thinking a two tone with this red from the r1, my freind just bought one and to see it in person is amazing

not only the swirls, around the pass "ls" molding you could see where it was becuase of the clear around the old paint. not that bad but in some areas there are alot of scratches. the only things he painted was the roll pan and wing. also one part theres a area where the paint was "burnt" i think when he buffed it. only in direct sunlight can you see how bad it is. plus when he water sanded around the fender flares you can still see the diffrence. im just really pissed. the paint b4 was nice ,not great but imo better than what it is now.
