i ruined one of my wheels. 4th of july. i pulled into some tall grass next to my friends driveway and clipped a boulder hidden in there. split the edge of my front drivers side rim. half inch long crack and part of it is folded in away from the tire. so mad. cant afford 400 bucks right now to buy a new one....at least its still driveable and none of the damage is affecting the tire but it looks like shit@!!@! had to rant. damnit.

I'm interested, but i might be stuck in Yakima that week training....have to check the schedule tomorrow.

heres an update on my transmission issues..... they are replacing it completely under the warranty, i should have it when i come back from maneuvers, all i have to pay is $100 deductible. Now to start looking into that shift kit.....

heres a philisophical question for you.... would someone that could afford that car even bother using ebay?

asked the dealership today about the ss badges this morning, they quoted me at $50+ a set. just over 150 for both doors and the tailgate. i think ill keep my eye on ebay and try to pick some up cheaper. maybe i'll hit the junkyard and hope i get lucky!

I had the trans. flushed just over a week ago, and its been slightly slipping since. i took it to the dealership this morning and sure enough they told me they are going to have to pull it. I've got a little over 58k on it, and i knew it was coming sooner or later. thank god i sprung for the extended warranty when i bought the truck. at least i caught it before it caused me too many problems.

I'm still looking to get my SS badging painted black. I figure my best bet is to order a new set, get those painted at a shop or do them myself, and switch them out. Has anyone done this yet?

Not that big of a deal but apparently it looks good enough to be parked outside the show on the way in. i was pretty stoked about it. I'll get some pics of it when i go check it out this afternoon. Thanks to kyle and bill at 4wheel in tacoma.

i've got dual super 40's dumped right after the mufflers and like everyone says its loud in the cab. i dont mind it, it sounds great inside and out.

paint the ducts and the grill black, it will look so much cleaner! old pic and you can hardly see the front end in this pic, but they are black.

9.85? i just ordered mine from the deal for almost 16 bucks. i gave him the part number and he told me i was wrong, then he tried to give me the one with the hole after i told him that wasnt what i wanted. yet another reason im not very happy with my dealership. i hate washington.

thanks for the quick responses, ill check tomorrow. on a side note, i was driving on the highway today, and noticed my shifts have been really drawn out and slow. also, when i was cruising around 40-45, it felt like it was having trouble finding gears. the rpms would jump up to around 35 then back down to 15 then up again even though i kept a steady foot on the pedal???

i went to the dealer yesterday and had the tranny flushed and the oil changed. when i asked about changing the fuel filter the tech told me i only have one in the tank that doesnt need to be changed. another friend of mine who was a tech said i do have one that does need to be changed. they also never bothered to ask if in wanted a new tranny filter after the flush so im kind of sketchy to believe a lot of what they have to say. ive got an 04' AWD. any help guys? thanks.
