  1. Hey guys, I've tried searching all over. Couldn't find specifically something to do with this. Sorry if I over looked something, basically I have a Clarion VRX935VD flip out, I wanna put in the truck. Anything "odd-ball" I need other than the adapter harness, and the Dash kit itself? I'm not a stereo newB, I just knew some of the newer vehicles had to have an interface is all...
  2. Hey guys, Which Super 44 muffler PN is the one to replace the muffler on our trucks? I'm wanting to keep the stock side exit, just replace the muffler... Thanks in advance!!
  3. Ahhh post #8 gotcha!! Thanks!!
  4. Sounds nice bro!! I think I might just toss a Super 44 on the stock setup side exit for now. I wonder how it'll sound though...I don't like the double rear exit on the SS, so either way I will just route exhaust to it's stock exit...None the less SOUNDS NICE
  5. A FLASHING SES Light means the PCM is ungrounding a driver on a certain injector, or multiple. Due to a Catalyst Damaging Misfire (Raw Fuel is being allowed to enter the cat)...Therefore the PCM is determininng which cylinder, or cylinders are misfiring, and ungrounding the injectors to that, or to the according cylinders to try to prevent damage to the Catalytic Converter....
  6. Bosch does not fair well with GM vehicles at all...Alot of platinum tips, or irridium plugs foul out easier than a traditional AC plug. However, I am thinking if I go with something other than AC Delco from work, I will try the E3 plugs...
  7. Do you have a list, of your suspension setup? This is what I want mine to look like!
  8. Well post #64 is to center the coil, I am pretty sure the shaft has a Master Spline on it, so the wheel can only go on one way. If it don't, and you know for sure the coil is centered, then pull the wheel and move it a couple teeth if there is no master spline....
  9. I dunno what to do Chase, it tells me I have hit the limit on images...even if I try to break it up, I guess I will PM you with the rest... Aggrivating I just spend 20min copying from the GMDealerWorld site, and resizing images, and inserting them in the correct place!! GRRR!! LEt me know if the PM works for ya...
  10. Here's the R&R with Harness Document ID #1561529 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Replacement (Coil and Harness Assembly) Tools Required J 42640 Steering Column Anti Rotation Pin Removal Procedure Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices. Disable the SIR System. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 . Notice: The wheels of the vehicle must be straight ahead and the steering column in the LOCK position before disconnecting the steering column or intermediate shaft from the steering gear. Failure to do so will cause the SIR coil assembly to become uncentered, which may cause damage to the coil assembly. Verify the following before removing the SIR coil: - The wheels on the vehicle are straight ahead. - That J 42640 is installed or the ignition switch is in the LOCK position. Remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column. On vehicles with a tilt column, pull the tilt lever straight out from the steering column. Remove 2 TORX® head screws (1) from the lower trim cover (2). Remove the lower trim cover (2). Remove 2 TORX® head screws (2) from the upper trim cover (1). Remove the upper trim cover (1). Remove the wire harness straps from the steering wheel column wire harness. Remove the retaining ring. Disconnect the wire harness assembly from the base of the column. Remove the SIR coil and wire harness assembly from the steering shaft. If replacing, discard the SIR coil.
  11. Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering Ok Chase, Here is a Centering SIR Coil you could try, but I would put money on an alignment, I will post the R&R next... Document ID # 822781 Notice: The new SIR coil assembly will be centered. Improper alignment of the SIR coil assembly may damage the unit, causing an inflatable restraint malfunction. Important: If double wire harness strap is installed onto the wire harness assembly and column, you must reuse the holder for the wire straps during installation. Remove the wire harness strap(s) where necessary. Verify the following conditions before centering the SIR coil: - The wheels on the vehicle are straight ahead. - The block tooth (1) of the steering shaft assembly is in the 12 o'clock position. - The ignition switch is in the LOCK position. If the front (5) of the SIR coil has a centering window (4), and the back side (2) includes a spring service lock (1), perform the following steps: Hold the SIR coil with the face up. While depressing the spring service lock, rotate the coil hub clockwise until the coil ribbon stops. Rotate the coil hub slowly, counterclockwise, until the centering window appears yellow and both arrows (3) line up. Release spring service lock between the locking tab. The SIR coil is now centered. Align the centered SIR coil with the horn tower and slide onto the steering shaft assembly. If the front (4) of the SIR coil has a centering window (3), and the back side (1) includes NO spring service lock, perform the following steps: Hold the SIR coil with the face up. Rotate the coil hub clockwise until the coil ribbon stops. Rotate the coil hub slowly, counterclockwise until the centering window appears yellow and both arrows (2) line up. This is the CENTER position. While holding the coil hub in the CENTER position, align the SIR coil with the horn tower and slide onto the steering shaft assembly. If the front side (3) of the SIR coil has NO centering window, but the back side (2) includes a spring service lock (1), perform the following steps: Hold the SIR coil with the back side up. While depressing the spring service lock, rotate the coil hub in the direction of the arrow (4) until the coil ribbon stops. Still pressing the spring service lock, rotate the coil hub in the opposite direction 2½ revolutions. Release the spring service lock between locking tabs. The SIR coil is now centered. Align the centered SIR coil with the horn tower and slide onto the steering shaft assembly. If the front side (2) of the SIR coil has NO centering window, and the back side (1) includes NO spring service lock, perform the following steps: Hold the SIR coil with the face up. Rotate the coil hub in the direction of the arrow until the coil ribbon stops. Rotate the coil hub, slowly, counterclockwise, for 2½ revolutions. This is the CENTER position. While maintaining the coil hub in the CENTER position, align the centered SIR coil with the horn tower and slide onto the steering shaft assembly. If double wire harness strap is installed onto the wire harness assembly and column, you must route the wires up against the steering column. One wire harness strap will surround one lead from the coil to the steering column. The other wire harness strap will surround all leads to the steering column.
  12. Hey Chase lemme dig' er up for ya...Have you had the control arms, or anything of that would pull it out of alignment? I ask this because, tech your steerign wheel will only go on the intermediate shaft one way. I only addressed the concern with the clock spring incase you weren't looking at the wheel and then noticed it was turned but didn't know which way the wheel "fell" to the left or right.... I would say you would need to just get an alignment however I will dig the R&R up and give' er to ya...
  13. NastySS, make sure it's a good aftermarket cat. I don't know if you have an aftermarket warranty, or service contract on your truck, but speaking from seeing things at work. Any downstream O2 sensor is calibrated for the stock cat. It could throw a rationality code possibly not being OEM.
  14. Chase...you did what? Possibly let the clockspring undo itself? If so, I would probably just replace the clockspring so you know you have one that is perfectly centered...Signs of a broken SIR Coil, could be Cruise light is lit up but don't respond to buttons, turn sigs wont cancel...a number of things...let me know if I can get you R&R Procedures, etc... PS...Hey BrandT did you ever get HID's, or pics of your light setup at night, and the pattern they cutoff at?
  15. Chase you ever get them smoked? I would think the LED would be a better choice for smoking anyway, since they are brighter than Halogen bulbs anyway.... Chase you could sell me on these if I like what I see lol....
  16. Ok guys, as a GM Tech...Here's the info... The GM Document # is 1893252 New Intermediate Shaft P/N 19153614 Upper Bolt Torque is 35ft-lb Lower Bolt Torque is 37ft-lb I believe the part @ our dept is like $97 MSRP It's an easy job don't take more than 15 min. Just remember since none of you have the special tool to lock the steering wheel, if you do the replacement you must hold the steering wheel still when the shaft is disconected, otherwise your SIR Coil (Clockspring) will come undone, or a partial revolution. Causing your wheel when steeed straight not to be "centered" in the middle of the coil's travel, possibly tearing the spring if you had to turn lock to lock at any time.

    EBCM

Just a sec let me log into GMDealerworld with my Tech ID.... Yes your EBCM is on the Drivers Frame rail, has two wire harness's running into it...
  18. Coming from me being an ASE Tech. I blinking SES Light, is stating there is a Catalyst Damagine Misfire, it is ungrounding injectors to try to regulate the damage... None the less, yes a blogged cat will DAMPER all ranges of efficiency..Power, MPG as well as build up excessive heat. Generally prolonged ignorign of a clogged cat, can cause the Combustion chamber to opperate at excessively high temps eating up Exhaust Valve seats, and possibly leading to warped, and cracked heads....
  19. Ok honestly guys, no help what so ever? Cmon thought this was a tech board. Atleast tell me the factory offset, and I'll do all the digging...
  20. Looks pretty good, those are the ones I am referring to. I only with the bumper lights were completely black on the refelector like you can get in the 02 and before models!! I'm just not being sold on a blacked out light, with chrome reflectors still lol...
  21. By the way, nice sounding truck Fireman! Thanks for the response guys, keep' em comin...
