  7. just figured its bout time i started postin here 2003 SS... not much done yet, but the to-do list gets longer n longer everyday so far BOSS 315s, w/ 305/40/22 GAYLORD X2000 lid after market rear back up sensor system, i did a custom mount on the rear view mirror some black outs and tint, billet bow tie bought it w/ a sprayed in bed liner.... raised the rear seat 2".... custom modified bed extender changed DRL's to turn signals wired DRL's to fogs... temporarily behind the brake ducts HID head lights dont rember but i think 4300k or somin like dat currently building : a custom 3 piece fiberglass bed tool box.. custom fiberglass sub box under the rear seat.. currently designing full one off GFX (dont worry wont look ricey) true dual exhaust at some point ill post a thread for the building and designing topics im not going to bother w/ postin my wish list right now to long heres some older pics of the truck
  8. installed i made the hooks just long enough to latch when upright, but still able to fold down, i got this idea from some one on here who adjusted by cutting the tabs on a stock height seat still have head room, im 6'-1" and there is about 2" still... ne one taller can either ride in the bed or walk... lololol not too bad for a sawzall, a $30 drill press, and a $60 wire welder w/ a friction drive that wouldnt feed steadily any way should be movin onto mdf n fiberglass soon... any suggestions on a decent inexpensive welder would be appreciated
  9. i figured i would put this up as well since i raised the rear seat 2" this meant that the hooks in the back of the seat didnt catch and the seat wouldnt stay up... so here ya go for any one who is interested i have to extend the hooks on the back of the seat to catch the rings on the rear wall i used ca glue to tack in place so i could check for fitment some strong shit, easily pick up the seat by the glued end welded the tabs... yeah i know i cant weld for shit (yet...)
  10. ive seen guys do it w/ washers or shims... but i raised mine a full 2 inches which meant the existing bolts would be to short so i made a new mount out of 2" X2" X 1/8" steal tubing, im an architect so i probably over did it but here it is anyway... cut and drilled the steal welded grade 8 bolts in from the inside and now for a quick test fit a lil, cold glavinized paint, primer, base n clear just for some temporary protection i will be building a sub box for under the seat which will also hide the seat bracket so i wasnt to worried bout how it looks
  11. ah crap... wish i had noticed this thread last month ... any other meets planned b4 then end of the season in the tri-state area.....
  12. i got mine in april of 06, freight company screwed me, scratched n dinged, they wouldnt take it off the truck or let me open it till i signed, fed ex freight company in the ny are sux... fedex, the frieght co, stylin concepts, n gaylord all gave me th run around, and did nothing.... hence still on my truck w/ scratches... install was easy to do, the locks need some adjustment after a while, i didnt use the remote they gave i just wired it to my alarm, and added a momentary push button switch on the interior to pop it do no opinion there... how ever my friend has it on his x-runner,(same amount of time as mine), n doesnt seen to have the ne probs w/ the remote... his didnt come w/ the gasket around the inside edge, mine did... his also doesnt seem to sit quite as well as mine, and it sqeaks like a mofo... we just added the numeric lock pad to his, since this wasnt an option when we got ours, he asked them if they could send him the pad n harness, they said he had send in the brain from the existing lock system b/c they had to reprogram n wrie it up, so he did, took forever for them to send it back... came back a complete mess, he studied what they did n researched the manufacturer of the electronics, long story short he rewired everything himself.... the main problem so far is that the paint is bubbling on the lids, mine only has like 20 small bubbles over the whole lid so far, how ever my friends has them all over the place, and the bubbles are starting to pop flake off.... he contacted gaylords bout this they said they would repaint it but he would have to cover shipping it to them n back... no to impressed thus far, i expected better from gaylords since the hood cost like 1400.00 shipped....
