I've had the same set of 409's on my truck for over 5 years without any problems.....
-
Talk to 2tone06SS, he recently put a set on his truck.....
-
Congrats Brother! I have a few buds that are very busy oil field guys that met their better halfs on match.
Thanks Danny! I take it all is well? Haven't talked to you in forever.....

NGK TR55ix # 7164 and Taylor "409" wires #79205 here......

The truck still has the balance of the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty, which I plan on extending. I am definitely not opening up the motor, and the tune will stay stock as GM is getting wise about recalibrated ECM's. I saw a recent TSB on the subject, and I don't want any potential future headaches with warranty work......

About 2 weeks ago, I traded in my daily driver '03 Tahoe due to some forthcoming expensive repairs, and picked up a clean GM Certified '09 Tahoe 1LT with 40k on the clock. This truck along with most newer Tahoes has a 5.3L flex fuel LMG with Active Fuel Management(4 cylinder mode during light throttle highway cruising). After some research about AFM on the web, it seems that some people have had issues with Lifters failing due to the AFM system between 40-80k. Does anybody have any insight on this? Thoughts? After reading some of the horror stories out there, I am considering disabling the AFM on this truck. The previous owner changed the oil religiously every 3k. Am I over reacting?
I saw this device on the web in lieu of getting a custom tune, I want to keep the truck 100% STOCK........

I just read some of the previous comments, please keep this thread clean gents. Racial/ethnic epitaphs WILL NOT be tolerated......

I knew that. I just had him do my cluster a couple months ago. Don't know what I was thinking.
It's all good.

Never heard of this problem before. Good luck with it.
You might want to get up with SilveradoSS, (Steve). He's a member here and he works / rebuilds clusters.
Heres a link to his site,
His screen name is Silverado777.

What have you heard? I'm curious since that is the very setup I have......

A good stall and DR's will certainly get you into the high 13's. With a 3000 stall and DR's my truck turned a 13.8 a few years ago before my cam swap....

First off, what are you looking for? To date casually? Or a long term relationship? You need to answer that before puting yourself out there......
Second, you need to stick to the mainstream dating sites like match.com or eharmony.com as they have a more rigorous screening process of their members. Subscribe to one, they are not too expensive. The no-name dating sites that are free are more than likely the "hookup" sites.....
Third, you need to stay positive, and don't get your hopes up. Talk to many perspective girlfriends online, it's okay, it will take some time to find the right person for you. If they reject you, it's their loss. If you look for love, it wont happen. Love will happen when you least expect it. Don't just fall in love with a photo either, there is more substance there than a pretty face, you cannot judge a book by it's cover....
Lastly, I am going to shoot down anybody that says you will never find someone worthwhile on the internet right now. It may take time, but does work. After being on the internet for almost 1-1/2 years, I met my fiance Cheri 2 years ago on match.com. She quickly became my best friend, as we have seen eachother everyday almost since we met. Now, I can say that she is the love of my life, we are inseperable. We were engaged August of last year, and our wedding is February 2014. It is not just us either, my sister-in-law met her husband on e-harmony also.

I love the new converter Joe, truck feels faster and has normal street manners, you can definitely feel a difference though. Brad, I was going to have it dynoed in the next week or so, but had a monetary setback the other day. I had to trade my war wagon '03 Tahoe in due to some expensive forthcoming mechanical issues. She served me well, 125k, but it was time to upgrade. After spending over $6k to keep her on the road last year(t-case, rear diff, 4 wheel brake job, tires, water pump, tensioners), the rear main seal sprung a leak, a cat started to go out(intermittent P0430 code), and the trans began to slip occasionally. I traded her in to avoid the impending doom, and picked up an immaculate GM Certified '09 Tahoe 1LT with 40k on the clock yesterday. I will post pictures in the next day or so......

Have it scanned again and post the codes here, it isn't worth attempting to guess what may be wrong without knowing the first clues of a malfunction(the codes)....

Let's get back on track with this thread........I believe Zebra said in a recent thread that his SS has 11,000 miles on it.....
My baby just recently turned over 62,000.....

Should be a 4L65E, look for the RPO code "M32" on the production label inside the glovebox......
-
Drivers side post cat(rear 02) is the sensor that code pertains to, bank 1 sensor 2.....
-
Stay away from Performabuilt, trust me.....FLT(Finish Line) builds a strong unit proven by many here....
-
Eddie, come down to Atco and get that 10 second slip!!!
-
John, shoot me a PM and ill give you all the part numbers......
-
The recall applies to trucks with RPO code CJ3, dual manual climate control. Both the manual and digital control are prone to this problem.....
