Just an FYI: Factory C6 wheels (not Z06) are 18"/19"

1. Is the engine stock? Headers, catback, O2 sensors, etc? 2. How many miles are on it? a. fuel filter been changed? b. original plugs? 3. Has it been "tuned" by someone? Are there any stored codes?

Was it cylinder #7?

Catalytic converter?

Did they jack the steering column to get it started?

P/N switch will prevent a car from starting unless the car is in park or neutral (auto). Won't kill a running car. Does your truck have any stored codes?

Not sure what your question is? Are you asking how to diagnose a "tapping" sound in your engine that you suspect is piston slap? -or- Are you asking for recommendations for a cam to suit your driving conditions?
