  1. with 18mm offset and that size tire most i would go is 2/2. that tire is much to wide if you load your truck up with like 5 friends or take a side pic of it now i bet the tires hang past the fenderlip.
  2. NO DONT EVEN TRY IT. Will rub especially in rear.
  3. depends on offset of wheels but with a djm 3/4 on a 22x9.5 on a sss i usually run 33 to 40 mm offset wheels and 285 40 22. Lots of guys want the wide look for those i do a 305 35 22 and its fine.
  4. Spindles and keys for 3 inch rides a lot worse than just 3 inch drop a arms. Now spindles and 3 inch a arms ride fine for a 5 inch drop lower a arms dont addeft ride at all for 3 inches. Spindles and keys do
  5. spindles/keys rides much worse than 3 inch a arms. spinldes alone are fine add the a arms in and it sucks. For the rear im testing the billstein 5125 shock and I have to say its a much better ride than the Bilstein HDs. Are you guys running stock shocks still with the rear 4 inch drop if so thats why. Your so much out of the effective stroke range of the stock shock it cant really do what it was meant to do. Id invest in a 5125 shock bilstein that is shorter than stock best way to do it is measure the rear shocks at ride height then get a shock where its center range is within that measurement. Ie lets say you have a shock that is 20 inches extended and 15 inches collapsed. You add the 2 numbers up and divide by 2 and you get the center stroke of the shock is 17.5 inches. Now shock length of vehicle should fall within that range meaning 17-18 inches at ride height that shock would be perfect.
  6. the djm 3 inch set up rides like stock pretty much. 10x better than a spindle/key lowering set up. The keys is what kills the ride ive done my fair share of those on these trucks and I tell the people that get the kits the same thing. Much rather just leave it a 2 inch drop then going with a 3 inch drop by getting keys. If you want a 3 inch drop best bet is the a arms for sure.
  7. I have 2 friends one with a 04 and other 05 awd SSS bought brand new and the 04 has over 103k miles and we dropped it the same day he bought it and never had a axle shaft prob in front. Also the 05 ss has 42k miles and never had one issue with axle shafts going out. On other SSS ive done ive never had one issue with the axle shafts going out but the only problem I had was the bushing got worn on the djm 3 inch a arm that had to be replaced. Just seeing who else has gone this low here because I see mostly 2/2 or 2/3 drops.
  8. if your doing 4/6 drop then yes but that set up the stock billsteins will ride better.
  9. yes djm 3 inch lower control arms for tahoe fits awd sss belltech 2 inch sprindles fit both tahoes and awd sss belltech or djm keys fit both tahoe and awd sss
  10. BILSTEIN 5125 PART NUMBER great shocks
  11. Sounds ok to me but not the greatest lol.
  12. yes euromax makes these wheels in both 20 and 22s for the SSS. 20x8.5 35 mm offset and 22x9.5 with 38mm offset i have pics of a white one with the silver 20s i did.
  13. the 22x9.5 are 2 pounds heavier than the stock 20x8.5 sss factory wheels. the 22x9.5 with 285 35 22 will be lighter than the stock wheel/tire combo on the SSS
  14. they are a custom wheel michael at euromax ddi for me. they are the 515s. I have a brand new set in the 22x9.5 in both chromimum black and silver in my garage I need to get rid of. 22s
  15. guy did it on our board used spacers/adapters
  16. street racing locally and shows. Its over 3 years old 5800 miles on it. I do like the ride of the leafs with shackles better than using shackles and hangers. Also the work involved grinding the rivets out of the frame is a pain for the front hangers. Leafs you put in get the right shocks and your done. answered above.
  17. So you tried a 2 and 4 degree shim. Did you try a 6 degree? do you remember where the fat part of the wedge was? ive seen many people put the wedge in the wrong way.
  18. did you cut the bumsptops in rear? vibration did you try the 2 or 4 degree shim? are you talking about a drop for a sss or tbss?
  19. the rear 3 or 4 inch kit is adjustable shackles and hangers. I have belltech drop leafs here also which lower a sss about 1.5 inches and then use shackles to get 3.5 on the 1st hole or 4.5 on 2nd hole. one thing though the belltech drop leafs alone with belltech street performance shocks rides and handles better than stock.
  20. Yes i can help you guys out with drops. I have a few kits here in my garage im trying to get rid of. I have a djm 3/4 kit brand new in the box i need to post up. ive never had 1 issue usin the 3 inch a ams on these trucks and NEVER had any front axle issues on any that ive lowered.
  21. no once you spray it your good for awhile. the pads keep the face of the rotor clean.
  22. whenever i get brake rotors i always go thru them with rustoleum paint. people are like why its because it keeps the rust away even if the rotors say they are zinc coated they still will rust after time. You just spray the front and back and also the center area. after it drys put it on the truck and within 2 blocks the paint gets swiped away and whatever is left over wont rust. This doesnt mess up the brake pad or anything like that. Tons of people have been doing this on my site and others and even r1 concepts says its ok.
