ChevelleBoy
With instant-on, the radar beep means RUN! That's when you put the hammer down and don't look back...that's when the balance of power and AWD really pays off. Running from a cop is never in a straight line! johnsen
I have two Bell's. One in my tractor trailer and one in my SS. They help to keep my driving record clear. Very important if you drive for a living. know what you mean. don't drive for a living but my job requires me to have a commercial license. kind of hard when your a car freak. schklege
Valentine One! Once you drive with the directional arrows, you'll never want anything else. I do wish Valentine would upgrade styling from the 40's look.
musthaveSS
V1 is a no brainer.... especially with the remote display. Mine goes off, I slow down, other cars that pass me cause they do not see my display get stopped. Long live the arrows!!
rmcswain
My Whistler 911ST that is about 5 years old sounds pretty outdated compared to others on this thread. Never had a problem with it, but might have to look for an upgrade
dcairns
Valentine One! Once you drive with the directional arrows, you'll never want anything else. I do wish Valentine would upgrade styling from the 40's look. Do those Valentines work when you have a shell on the back, blocking the rear facing sensors? Or is there a detector with remote sensors? I would actually prefer something that has remote sensors so I don't have to mount it up high in the cab.
creaker
Both Escort & Beltronics offer full remote models whereas the V1 offers an inexpensive standoff unit that moves the display wherever you want (the detector is still in full view, just running in dark mode). The Passport SR7 is extremely expensive: http://www.escortradar.com/sr7.htm The Beltronics Vector LR Remote is not quite so expensive: http://www.beltronics.com/vectorlrremote.html And last but not least, the Valentine 1: https://store.valentine1.com/store/

BenKey
V1 is a cool looking unit. But for my purposes, I think I'll stick with my Bel.
