I built the box so that they are downfiring out of a sealed, divided box. I got about .85 cu. ft. per sub. I am running a 1000 watt hifonics amp to them and they sound very nice, hitting a broad range of frequencies. This setup has an excellent pound/price ratio. fox_forma
the subs are 12's I made the box out of mdf <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah same here, i built mine with MDF 3/4 inch, should be done soon hopefully, I did mine down firing. Do you have problems with the subs hitting the seat when they thump?
bigbl62
no, they miss the bottom of the seat buy a half inch the most. very tight I also used bondo to get the nice shape around the top of the sub so the speakers are recessed

The mono amp is very clear and powerful, while the 4 channel amp has nice power but lacks in the clarity department.
