Could any of you please check his setup... And preferably take some pictures please??

And also try this. Sit with 2 and 3 persons in the back... And see what the suspension does...

They're going to create a 2" spacer, and also something for the connection between the springs and the chassis...

Should be ready this evening, but still, I'm not convinced.

Chiel, I've send you an email, could you please reply?

thanks guys...

I think the 2" spacer would work great...

I'm pretty sure our suspension is up to the task of 1200lbs, I just don't think it looks good doing it unless we have some addtional components (like 2" spacers like you are having made, or what the Z71 trucks come with - helper springs, air bags, etc. etc.)

I carried a whole lot of wet mulch in my bed this summer - it was overflowing. The truck sqwatted and looked funny, but it was very composed when driving.

Had to cut away part of the exhaust for technical control. Next week have te go there again for control of the new LPG installation.

Afterwards I don't know what I'm going to do with it. This way it's indeed also nice and "clean".

Picked up the truck this evening.

They created the blocks themselves; and seems ok. Testdrive of 1,5 hours didn't show any strange things. Also opening the tailgate and putting 2 persons (450 lbs) gave a good result. Now height is back almost stock.

Final test will be mounting the FireBlade inside...

pics for tomorrow; going to sleep now. It's 01:00 AM

Because the cost of petrol overhere.

let's make a fast calculation.

1 liter of Petrol RON95 costs approx. 1.06 EUR

1 liter of LPG costs approx. 0.35 EUR

we can take almost 98 liters. I had to tank minimum 1.5 times a week, which makes a cost of approx. 150 EUR a week. Sometimes I even make more km, so it would be more. I can tank 115 liters of LPG, which makes a cost of approx. 40 EUR. The consumption of LPG will be a little higher, because 1 L³ of petrol has more energy then 1L³ of LPG. But these days that difference is quite small with the used techniques under the hood.

I'll makes some pictures of the whole setup this weekend. Right now it's raining like hell; so don't feel like going out... :D

We made a rough calculation over 4 years; which showed us a difference of 17.000 EUR in petrol costs, including the investment for the LPG-installation (which costs 3.700 EUR). That's a lot of money. And the more km I do; the more the difference.

I've choosen for the newest development concerning LPG, which is called LPI. In stead of spraying gas, they spray liquid via 8 injectors. Also the LPG-pcm is controlled by our SS-PCM.

I'm seriously thinking of installing a SC in the future. This shouldn't be a problem; as the LPG-system will just follow. I've already prepared that. In stead of 1 tank; I asked for 2 to keep a higher system pressure. LPG needs pressure to stay liquid. Every tank has it's own high pressure fuel pump. Then 2 lines go to the front to a seperate fuel distributor line, per 4 cilinders. In our case left and right.

Then they've installed the biggest injectors available; so fuel can always be delivered.

I also have 2 LPG-pcm's who are linked directly after the SS-PCM. There is no intelligence in those PCM's. They just read out the values of the SS-PCM, which monitors all sensors the car. When something is wrong, I still get a message in the control centre.

Also big advantage. I'm seriously thinking of ordering the HP Tuners kit. Well; no matter what values I replace, the LPG-PCM will follow.

That's about it I guess about the LPG-kit. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Driving experience... Well; I drove her home yesterday evening from Rotterdam to Antwerp. Is about 1.5 hours of highway. After about an hour of easy cruising; I passed the Belgium border; where I can speed easier then in Holland.

Played with several cars, and performance seems and feels the same as on petrol.

and don't forget; small switch gives me the choice between petrol and LPG, so I can always switch.

And I can drive approx. 1.200 KM with both tanks filled completely. (all 3 of them)

that's about it..

The fuel is a combination of Propaan; Butaan and Isobutaan.

can only be done on Petrol based cars. Used to be provided ia a vaporizer as a gas; the newest system, as I have; injects it directly in the air chamber as a liquid.

Gas is more compressible as liquid; so now they can inject more precisely.
