Silver HO Posted March 5, 2005 Report Share Posted March 5, 2005 Got the VHO on the highway this afternoon after installing the PMCForless tune. Couple things that impressed me were that now its got one hell of a passing gear at 80 mph and the instant fuel economy is reading 2-3 mpg higher on the dash computer. I'm going to be curious as too what the actual increase in fuel economy is, once I get my foot out of it It's amazing how "detuned" the 6.0 liter engine is with the factory program. If you want to "wake up" the engine, don't hesitate to get this program. Definitely the most bang for the buck IMO. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Or is it worth it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From what I've been told, there isn't as much room for improvement on the 5.3 liter's tune as compared to the 6.0 liter. You will gain some noticeable improvements on performance and economy with the 5.3 tune, but it will not be as drastic of an improvement as the 6.0 liter. The 5.3 tune would still be worth the $$$ IMO for the firmer shifting and quicker throttle response because I like the engine to when I say and not a moment later Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
