SSAlaska Posted March 9, 2005 Report Share Posted March 9, 2005 As some of you know I am moving to vegas in July. I drive a bit faster then the posted limits, Nothing excessive. Right now I am trying to decide if the V1 or the Escort 8500 X50 would be better for me. My first question is do they use laser in Vegas if the do there is not much I can do about that. Maybe a blinder laser jammer or some masking products like veil. What bands of radar do the use in LV? K, KA, POP, instant on? Are the street heavily patroled as well as the freeways? I figured you would have a good idea. Belive it or not I never speed on base. Here at Elmendorf the cops use LASER, and my first shirt is a major pain in the ass on speeders. While there may be small differences in performance, my money says that any of the top three mfg's will give you good protection. I run a Bell. Metro uses KA but very few cars have radar, the motorcycle cops all use radar from stationary(hidden) positions. Got this from a good source.
